He had been in his home for over 30 years and just couldn't wrap his head around the idea of moving. I called Rigden Farm and spoke to Kathy. She was extremely informative and answered all of my questions. She made me feel so comfortable about scheduling a tour. Kathy explained that she is off on Mondays and that Dad and I would be touring with Kirstyn. Dad and I arrived a little early and Kirstyn was just finishing with someone else. The receptionist was so friendly, showed us to the sitting room and offered a beverage. Kirstyn built a great rapport with Dad, she wasn't afraid to laugh and smile. The community is absolutely beautiful. The 2 bedroom apartment my Dad chose is large, bright, and more than enough space. Dad particularly liked the gym and the ability to walk down the hall for fitness classes. Everyone we've met along this journey has been fantastic. Angie took the time to answer all of Dads question during lease signing. She knew residents by name and shared many smiles. Since moving in Dad seems to be more himself. He is relaxed, eating well, and socializing. I wish he would've moved a few years ago.

Staff consistently went "above and beyond" to provide skilled/compassionate care/support. I always enjoyed eating with Mom and her friends in the dining room, as the food was great, schedule was flexible, and the atmosphere never felt institutional. Entertainment/recreational opportunities were always varied and fun. I especially appreciated the in-house (but separately-contracted) physical/occupational therapy and home health aide services. I am a RN so I saw, personally and professionally, how well this place operates. I hope I can find a home as wonderful as this when I am older!

The care is adequate and some of the staff are caring, but one caregiver released private information related to my husband's questions as to whether specific treatments were making his wife comfortable or simply prolonging her no-quality life long after she had disappeared into the fog of Altzheimer's. Along with Hospice, they prey on family guilt to continue providing expensive and unnecessary services and equipment. As a result, my husband was sued (through an expensive and prolonged process) by the son to whom the caregiver released information. Two years later, his four sons still refuse to talk to their father because they believed his wife was still aware of all things around her. (thanks again to Hospice and CB). #thanksClareBridge

These people deserve quality care from trained professionals. Do not let these people fool you. These people are not trained CNAS and there is only one RN for the whole Brookedale community. Staff is also unprofessional and unaware of HIPAA and State regulations. Carpet and furniture is visibly stained. There usually is an odor or urine and feces commonly present in the facility. Residents have visible facial hair and food on their faces. They have long fingernails that have layers of filth underneath them. Food quality is OK but make sure the food is cooked. There had been incidents of residents being served undercooked food. These families pay up to 5000 a month for basic care and are misled to think they are getting the best care and this is simply not true.
