Where do I begin. I'll begin with me. I have gambled in many casinos over many years and have never encountered any problems until I started going to the Aspers casino in Stratford.
1. They treat regulars very bad. If you're thinking about becoming a regular, think again. The staff there hate regulars, you can almost sense it in the atmosphere. Even though it's the regulars that keep the place running. 'we pay their wages'. They don't have any respect for regulars. The dealers, supervisors, and pit bosses (at least most of them) are rude, ignorant and arrogant. Some of them so much so that they show it on their faces when they speak down at you. They don't have a clue about gambling rules, dos and don'ts, but pretend they know it all.
2. The waitresses are stuck up, they hoover around drunk players who are more likely to tip them more money. They despise regular punters, they look down on gamblers who tip 50p or £1 even though you could be doing that three times in a visit, so if you went there say 5 days a week you'd be spending over £12 just on tips. It's become so bad you just can't get served. The other day I asked a waitress for service, I had £1 ready to tip her, she said she would come back to me, she was dropping off some drinks, after she did this she passed me on the way to the kitchen behind the reception but didn't take my order. When she appeared, I asked her to take my order again. She said she would return. She didn't and then the next two times she passed me, she turned her head away from me. I left the casino because I couldn't get a drink and I wanted to carry on playing, but without service there's no point. The problem with the waiting staff is the ones that have been there the longest influence the new ones not so serve regulars. They prefer to serve people that are drunk, people that might only visit there 2 or 3 times a year or maybe only once. But this is bad for the casino because I have stopped going there now, and I know of other regulars that have stopped going there too.
3. The security are not there for your safety, they are there to protect the casino. So, if there is any issue while on their property you have no protection. If something is stolen from you or your bag they will not investigate. Even though they have hundreds of cameras. So be careful if you go there because it's not a safe place with so many pick pockets and gangs walking about looking to steal mobile phones and handbags etc. Also, most of the security staff are rude and rough looking and don't respect customers and are basically a law unto themselves. God forbid you get in trouble with them or there is a misunderstanding they will mishandle you and they are bullies a bit like bouncers in the 1980s. Some of them find it hard to smile. I don't have a clue why the casino employs rude security staff like this; maybe it's because the management are rude so like to employ other rude staff.
4. The WCs stink, they are not cleaned, and the floors are always wet, and taps do not work properly and hardly ever any soap in the dispensers. The WCs smell bad and they place Vaseline on the rims of the toilets. Don't have a clue why but you don't want to get that all over you.
5. If you cash out using the machines, it asks if you want to donate to the zoo the casino owner runs. I mean come on, his making enough money from the casino without needing to beg more out of customers. It's all them them them them, and they don't care about customers who are treated like cash cows. Okay Aspers is a business, but they don't have a clue about how to treat customers, to make them feel welcome and happy etc. They just want your money and even when you're playing they try to upset you so that you lose your concentration and make betting mistakes, place chips in the wrong place or bet too less or too much etc. Anything to make you lose.
6. Also when you cash out at the cash desk they ask you for membership card or ID even for as little as cashing out £100 even though they don't ask for membership card or ID if you're like losing say 5k, I mean this is pathetic, the queue is longer while people have to show ID or give their date of birth if they don't have their membership card with them so that the casino can find them on their database. I think they are doing this because there are a lot of people laundering money in that casino. They do it to get points too so that they can get a VIP card so that they can get free drinks and free disgusting restaurant food. They change cash on tables for chips showing their membership card that is entered on the terminal near the tables and they walk away as if they are playing on the tables nearby and then they give those chips to someone they know to go and change back for cash! So the casino thinks they have lost all the money they changed up on the tables because they rarely cash out. A lot of VIPs are doing this but the casino allow them to get away with it. This shows that the management do read more
