Santiago and his crew did an amazing job on my project! I had some drainage issues along the back of my yard and decided to have a French drain and raised bed around the perimeter of my yard. These guys came in and dug out about a foot or more of the bad dirt, installed a drain and erected stone blocks for the raised bed and filled in with good quality soil and mulch. The end result looks awesome and I look forward to spending many nights in the back yard looking at how nice it is. Dec 16, 2020, Hired Mike Howard to repair structural damaged to my home caused by extensive dry rot…read moredamage. This was not a trivial job. The dry rot had compromised a main structural corner beam which supported the second story. The repair would first require building a temporary support to hold up the second story while removing the damaged support beam and replacing all of the dry rot wood. The repair process required first coordinating with a structural engineer to design a repair plan and then with the Snohomish County office to issue a repair permit. Mike was very helpful through the entire process. Mike was confident that he could perform the repair safely and within code without an engineering drawing, but suggested that the drawing would likely be required for the county to issue the permit. I decided to get the engineering drawing and Mike was right. The county flat out said that this repair required an engineering review and drawing. I told Mike I would hire him for the job, but only after I saw and understood what the repair plan entailed. Mike met with the engineer to discuss the repair job and then Mike outlined for me exactly how he would complete the repair. While listening to Mike explain the repair process it was apparent to me that he completely understood the structural design of a home. Having a contractor with this type of experience and knowledge was the only way I would go. Mike was a pleasure to work with. He answered all of my questions with integrity and no BS. I decided to take the 2 days off to watch the work performed. Mike had no issues with this. He discussed the work while it was in process and I always felt comfortable with his decisions and confidence. The work was done in accordance to the engineering drawing and the permit was signed off and closed without any issues. The images show the before and after work, minus the exterior wall board nailed up. I decided to repair the drywall and brickwork myself. Thanks for a wonderful job and experience Mike.

The owner is very kind and always quick to schedule and get a job done. I truthfully thought that my yard would not look as good as it did after I came home and saw it. The edging of the grass, the weeding, and everything in between is done with care and looks very sharp. The only downfall is communication is hard. Not sure if he is very busy with lots of work, or if it just takes a while but through texting it can take a bit to hear back. I'm willing to allow this because this company does such great work.

I have owed Nick a review for too long for the beautiful custom backyard he built for us in the…read moresummer of 2022, so here it is. Previously we were not using our backyard too often - we had huge leyland cypresses along our fenceline that absolutely choked any sunlight out of the backyard. We had moss everywhere, grass that struggled to grow in the shade and grew patchy, and some large magnolia trees that would constantly get damaged by the winter snows. We love being outdoors and spending time in our backyard, but wanted to upgrade the space. We worked with Nick to create a custom plan and redesign our backyard from the ground up, including a covered patio area with BBQ grill and flat top, mini fridge, and a beautiful stone fireplace. Nick's team wrapped the columns of the patio cover with stone, and laid it all out on a bluestone paved patio. He was also able to accommodate a hot tub, and finished it all off with lovely landscaping and plants. We even added a shed and wired it up as an extra entertainment room. Throughout the whole process Nick was patient and accommodating, and was flexible as we encountered problems or changes that needed to be made. Nick's guys were on time and professional, and basically spent months with them as they did their work! Would highly recommend Mill Creek Landscapes for your backyard project, big or small.
