This dance studio is does not practice inclusivity. They charge a very large amount for the children to perform (on top of the price of the classes) and when parents are financially unable to afford the dresses, they are ostracized. The children all try on and take pictures in front of the children who cannot afford dresses-- which as you can imagine can have horrendous effects on the emotional wellbeing of the children. Aspire I strongly suggest you step up and handle this issue as it is not inclusive of families from lower socioeconomic standings. Please do better. read more

My daughter has been at Aspire for two years now after switching dance schools. This was the best choice we could have made. Alexia is the owner of the studio and takes an interest in every student. She is truly invested in my daughter's love for dance. My daughter's dance friends have quickly become like family to her. Alexia is always available to talk if you need anything or have concerns which I did not find at our other dance school. Alexia and the instructors have made this an amazing experience as they have a passion for dance and are dedicated to developing dancers at all ages/levels and abilities. My daughter's first experience with Aspire was from 3000 miles away in Charleston, South Carolina, where we lived before moving here in 2020. She took a few online classes in the height of Covid. Even online, the class was very warm and she was introduced to the others and felt welcome. That warmth continued as she took a class in person last spring and joined the junior company this year. The dancers are talented and inclusive, and all of the instructors care about the kids and seem to love what they do. It is a positive environment above all (our priority) and my daughter loves it! Communication is also very organized, thorough, and replies are prompt. This has been a rarity in my kids' other activities over the years, and always knowing what is going on at the studio makes things way less stressful for us. Highly recommend! read more

I am SO happy I came across ASPIRE dance studios after looking around for 2+ years. My first appreciation started when I saw that they moved the dance studios outdoors and never closed for Covid! They had built platforms on their parking lot outdoors for each class and kept going throughout the pandemic without any health issues. What a production! Secondly, I am impressed by the owner being as involved as she is at the studio-- she teaches several classes and is always present. She's created a warm, loving, caring, age-appropriate culture for the kiddos and she takes pride in keeping kids as kids, and swaying away from adult-like costumes and dances-- HUGE PLUS FOR A DANCE STUDIO in my opinion, something I had not found prior to my experience here. She has built a safe environment for these kids and it feels like I'm leaving them with family when they have practice. Compared to other studios, prices are more than reasonable and the teachers are experienced both with the dance and kids. I feel so lucky to have found ASPIRE! read more

My 4 year old took ballet/tap combo this year with the owner Ms. Alexia. I was so impressed at Ms. Alexia's talent for working with young children. She made every class fun for the kids, as parents we would watch our little ones gain self esteem, strength and beautiful dance skills week to week. We just had the end of year recital and it was so lovely to see how far all of the dancers had come this year and how much fun all the kids were having in every age group including the older kids in the dance company. They also do a wonderful job with communication, always letting parents know full details of rehearsals, pictures, costumes, schedule changes etc. Highly recommend this amazing inclusive friendly studio and community! read more

This studio is excellent! My daughter is 3 years old and loves the creative dance class. Her teacher Tammy is absolutely wonderful with the younger kids and really helps them to stay engaging in the moves she's teaching them and having fun all at the same time. They play an assortment of disney princess songs and sing a longs for the kids to dance to. I highly recommend! read more

My daughter joined Aspire a year ago after 4 years of competitive gymnastics. We hunted for the perfect studio to fit Ellie's needs. It is bright- natural light from the large windows. Small- Ellie is recognized and feels special. The dance teachers are so talented- they have all inspired and taught Ellie to become a beautiful dancer. My 5 year old daughter has been taking dance lessons at Aspire for the last two years. She absolutely LOVES it! The teachers create a fun environment that also teaches the kids correct dance technique. I highly recommend this studio if as a parent you want your kid to have fun, learn, and appreciate dance. If you want to feel happy, learn dancing from the most radiant dance teachers in Southern California. Not only she has the years of experience, her style of dancing is more of a personal feel to it. Sorry, this is long, but it will explain why the low rating...We came to Aspire over a year ago because it was a small studio and we thought that the small classes would be good for my "tween". She eventually made company and loved being around the other dancers and learning the new dances. The best part about this studio are the dancers and the families- they truly were great and she made wonderful friendships. The tap teacher is amazing, too! Now for the horrible part... After knowing my daughter for a year, Alexia, the owner of the studio called me up a few days before Christmas, and accused my young daughter of stealing an older student's credit card. She said the girls wouldn't feel safe anymore with my daughter there as a result. Yes, her words. (None of her accusations are true, including how the other kids feel, since they have told us directly.) The card owner had lost her card in the tiny viewing/changing/homework area where everyone's bags are bunched together and open. Weeks before the call, my daughter had found a credit card and we let them know immediately and turned it in to the front desk. We didn't think anything of it because this happens with shoes and water bottles all the time. Why would a kid be punished for doing a good deed? And she's still young enough to sign her name with just her last initial -- what's she going to do with a credit card anyway?? It's like if you found your neighbor's keys in your driveway and returned them to him, and then he accused you of stealing them. To make matters worse, Alexia also accused my special-needs son of "almost" stealing a bag of chips one time last year. He had apparently picked up a bag of chips in the snack basket, thinking they were free. When told it was not free, he put it back. End of story. She actually said that this made her think that my daughter took the card. I can't even begin to understand this thought process. What is weird is that, up until this fateful call, we never had any conflicts with the owner. We paid the year in full up front, we came on time, bought all required items, hosted a team party, helped with PR for a special needs class, etc. I don't know why she felt the need to create such a destructive story. Also, by getting rid of my daughter, she has damaged the morale of her dance team as well, since the girls were all friends. We don't know why this was done- maybe this was a forceful passive/aggressive way to just get rid of her? We don't know the motivation, but it doesn't matter because as parents, we can't go along with adults in authority treating children with such disregard and callousness. We all have stuff going on in our lives, but we don't randomly take it out on other people's kids. Very unprofessional. I can't recommend this studio because I think that something like this can easily happen again. Different kid, different circumstances...it's too risky. Sadly, this is not a "nurturing" environment, especially for the younger girls. They aren't very friendly to parents, either, but that's less important than how they are treating the kids. As a business, you can't treat your customers in such an unprofessional way and expect your business to grow. Also, I don't believe it's ethical to have Aspire staff members writing 5 star reviews for themselves on Yelp. Not cool. We have since visited several other good studios in the area and found a new place where my daughter can dance her little heart out and feel safe, so there is something good that came out of this. read more

I have been very pleased with this dance studio! My daughter was looking for a Musical Theater class (there aren't many in town). She started mid-year, but has felt very welcomed. All of the staff I've encountered are very friendly and administratively the studio seems very organized. I was also impressed with their year-end recital. We are looking forward to returning to Aspire in the Fall. read more

My daughter has been dancing at Aspire since it opened in 2013 and joined the company team at that same time. The studio has a friendly, community-centered feel to it. The studio space is creative and inspirational. I find the teachers are all friendly, knowledgeable, and great with kids. My Dance Dad experience over the years has been that studios can be stuffy, strict, and cater to a select few. At Aspire, the studio owner does a great job of balancing fun and creativity while keeping the focus on developing the dance skills of all the students at the studio. We had our girls birthday party there and I could not have asked for a better place and staff. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and we had two teachers dancing and entertaining the kids. I love this studio! The staff is experienced and encouraging and the dancers are friendly and focused. My dancing has improved greatly since attending the studio and I've become a more confident dancer and person. The unique choreography, opportunities to improvise, and variety of classes encourage dancers to be creative and experience the joy of dance.
