Nope, uh-uh. Don't be fooled, this is Inspire Fitness. Look up a list of things that sketchy businesses do, one of the top is to make a slight name change, say they're under new management, and thereby try to ditch their bad reputation. How do I know? Well, if you're unlucky and have to make a couple phone calls, the staff there doesn't know if they're Inspire or Aspire yet. The admin is all Aspire, the floor staff and the stuff on the walls is Inspire. Also, just another sketchy business red flag, when you ask to speak to a manager or supervisor and are told you have to come in to the place. They won't even give you the manager's name. Most businesses have manager business cards available all over the place, and the manager is a highly visible presence. Here, it's a figure who lurks in shadows like a villain created when mutagen ooze spilled into a GNC. My complaint is that this place is a huge scam. Here's how billing works at a legit gym: You pay, and you go in. If you stop paying, they don't let you in anymore. Here's how billing works at Aspire/Inspire: You pay, then you stop going and stop paying, at which point they continue billing you and report you to a collections agency. Then you have to go in person to cancel, which takes forever because everyone who works the desk there has been there for 2 weeks and doesn't know how anything works. This place seems like a great deal, but that's before they send you to collections for $20 of gym service that you never received. read more

Here's my saga: I tried to cancel my membership in September 2018 because I moved out of the area. I couldn't get ahold of anyone and finally when I was able to leave a voicemail I told them to cancel my account, there was literally nothing else I could do. I was still charged the next month after that and took it up with my credit card company to block their charges. They tried collecting payment and it was back and forth for a month. I was told the collections company couldn't do anything and to call the gym. The gym said to figure it out with collections. Finally in December, they stopped contacting me and I figured they figured everything out because I WASN'T A MEMBER ANYMORE. Randomly in February I was charged for a membership fee under the new company's name. Like I'm floored, they should NEVER have still had access to my credit card and not more than a few days later I had fraudulent charges for dating websites on my card. I don't know who has my information or where it's stored, but I have no doubt the fraud activity is because of them. Chase has been great and I have a new credit card they can't charge and I've been refunded for all the charges, but what they are doing is criminal. I spoke to someone a few days ago from the club and he promised I would hear from a manger, but I haven't gotten any phone call and I'm still getting pursued by ASF payment solutions for back payments on membership I don't have. I've never been so digusted with a company in my life. Simply despicable. Update! I finally heard back from the gym and the manger was very apologetic about everything. It doesn't make it right, but I do appreciate his professionalism and hopefully, hopefully everything has now been resolved! read more

This place is a great value. It's comfortable and has quite a few machines. I paid for the annual membership and they were precise on not only what fees I will be charged but when they will be charged. I also signed up for training and again was explained clearly the charges. The trainers and attendants are very friendly and anxious to help. 24/7 access, cardio movie theater, and the ability to bring a guest each and every time. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Here's the thing I signed up for a platinum gym membership in January of 2018 and decided to cancel it in January of 2019. The manager Tim told me that I would have to pay 20 dollars for the following months: February and March and that I would also have to pay a cancellation fee and I was okay with that. They took out payments for February and March and they also took out the cancellation fee and after that I thought I was done. But they continued to charge me up until January of 2020. It was my fault for not noticing that they had been taking money out every month, but when I did notice, I went back into Apsire and even brought the paper stating that I had cancelled my membership. When I went in I ended up waiting 15 minutes just for anyone to even help me. The girl who helped me was named Diana and she was rude from the very beginning. I explained my situation to her and she had an attitude the entire time. She ended up helping me fill out a refund request form for all the months that I was being charged. Diana told me that she would give that paper to her manager Tim so he could look over it and that I would get a call from him on Monday- he never once called. So I tried calling and they don't even answer the phone. I then decided to go back on February of 2020 when I noticed they tooK out a payment for the first of the month. Again when I went in I stood at the front desk for a good 15 minutes before anyone came over to help me. I had to literally call their phone number before anyone came up to help me. Some girl came up and I explained my situation AGAIN to her and she pulled up my info and told me that I would have to wait for the manager to come in on Monday. I go in on Monday and the so called manger Tim pulls up my information and I give him a copy of everything that I have and before I could even say anything, he told me that I never cancelled my membership when I literally have proof that I DID. And I literally spoke to HIM when I cancelled my membership in January of 2019. He continues to tell me that everything they were charging me for were rollover fees, when he never once mentioned that. He then proceeds to ask me if I want to cancel it when it was supposed to be cancelled this whole time. When I asked for my money back he told me that it was impossible. Overall don't waste your time on this shitty ass gym. The equipment is outdated, the management is a joke and they lack basic customer service skills. Extremely unprofessional, my 4 year old nephew has more common sense than the incompetent people working here. read more

When I was a member of this gym the staff was constantly changing. If a cable or lunch pin on equipment broke it took weeks to get repaired. I moved out of state. When you don't sign a contract and pay month to month and stop paying means your not a member any longer. Not with this business, they turned me over to collections. Tried to talk with a manager and got no response. Finally contacted corporate cancelled my membership and go an email confirming my cancellation. Less than a month later, collection calls again sent an email and got a response it could take 30 days. One week later they took three months memberships cost from my account. Called corporate and got an answering machine. BBB will be informed of the situation as well read more

If you aren't looking for anything fancy, then this is a good gym. However, their equipment is sub-par (for example, the leg press machine is really uncomfortable, and doesn't have any support for your back, but it gets the job done). One of the managers told me they had an ab roller that broke a year and a half ago, and they have yet to replace it. Also, their cardio cinema has poor air circulation, so you have to be careful how much you workout in there. The bathrooms are nice and well-maintained. I see people cleaning the floors of the gym all the time. On your fourth month of membership, you have to pay an equipment fee (I think it's $39), and I just wonder if they are really budgeting for maintenance of their equipment with those fees? read more

First off, I can't comment on the facility itself. In fact, it seems rather nice and put together well as far as the equipment goes. However, their customer service, if you want to call it that, is absolutely horrendous. It's very hard to get in contact with someone at the facility who can actually help with important issues, and you can forget about getting ahold of someone from corporate. I strongly suggest to anyone looking for a gym to compare prices, policies, and amenities from all gyms in the area before settling on Aspire/Inspire. My reason for choosing this gym was that it was close to my home and the monthly fee was only $10. However, what they give up in monthly fees, they take from you in personal training charges and annual fees. If you are looking for a gym to work out on your own or with a friend (no personal training), then maybe this might be a good place for you. But keep in mind, they will charge you an additional $35 every October in addition to your monthly fees. And, this gym is not as clean as others that I have used. Twice their staff as accused me of not paying my bill and told me I had to go home and get proof of payment, when the problem was in their system and my payment had processed through my bank weeks before. They did apologize for the hassle, but I didn't appreciate the way the staff refused to allow me to even stay for my appointment either of those days. Very unprofessional in my opinion. A couple times I had to call to reschedule a training appointment. The staff that took care of the rescheduling (not the same person both times) did not listen to the time I needed to reschedule for. I asked to change my date from "this" day to "that" day at the same time I was already scheduled - 5:30. I specifically said 5:30, and they changed the day to the correct day, but scheduled me for 5:00. So, when I got to the gym, I was told that I missed my appointment, and they charge you for missed appointments at Aspire/Inspire. The last time I had to reschedule, I asked for confirmation that they changed to the specific day at 5:30, and they said "Oh not, he's not available at 5:30, so I put you at 5:00." Once again I would have missed an appointment because they did not listen to what I was asking for. One other thing that bothers me about Aspire/Inspire regarding personal training is that you don't get to set a consistent appointment from week to week. In other gyms that I have used, I was able to set a continuing training appointment for each week, such as everything Thursday at 5:30. But, at Aspire/Inspire you have to schedule each one as you go, and the time you need may already be taken, so your training schedule may vary from week to week. Makes it hard to plan for child care or other things that have to work around your schedule. If you are looking for personal training, there are much better places to go. Even though the monthly fees is $10, which seems quite affordable and is less than some other places, their personal training charges are very high in comparison. In order to get training at anywhere a reasonable rate, I had to sign a year contract. And this was even before I knew if the trainer and I would work well together. I was not allowed to choose my trainer, either. They assigned one to me. And now I am stuck in this contract at a gym I do not like with a trainer that does not meet my needs or wants in personal training. Aspire/Inspire requires that you have a gym membership in order to get personal training, and many gyms have the same policy. However, I have recently found a gym that doesn't require that you have a gym membership to get personal training. They are separate services, which meets my needs perfectly. If you want both, you can have both, but if you only want one or the other, they let you do that, too. My point is that if you look around and interview other gyms before you make a commitment, I believe you will find a much better gym than Aspire/Inspire. read more

16th Street fitness has the worst customer service I have ever experienced!! I originally signed a contract with Aspire fitness (the previous gym) and was unaware and never informed that my contract was bought by 16th Street fitness, which was fine since I was moving anyway. That being said, I stopped using the gym and never went back since Aspire wasn't there. When I called to resolve this issue, the manager refused to speak with me and had his inexperienced employee handle the situation. All she could do was give me his email. I have been trying to email him and have only heard back once but nothing has been resolved! I am still in the process of moving and can't use the gym and the manager is refusing to cancel the contract I never signed! I have sent an email every week, but I never hear anything back! Month to month does not mean month to month and this was not explained to me. I had this place on auto pay and my card changed so the payments to Aspire stopped going through and I thought the month to month membership was cancelled. I kept getting robocalls about a balance so I called the gym today. If you are month to month the billing does not stop, you have to actually go in or alert them of the cancellation. They will not cancel my account until I actually go into the business and pay for the months my auto pay did not go through. When I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager the rep on the phone stated that they were out of the office until about 3pm today but they are not the ones who I would need to speak to about this I would need to contact corporate. This is not the way to run a new or growing business, I do not recommend using this facility. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I cancelled my membership over 2 months ago and continue to be charged for a membership. I've called multiple times asking for a manager and every time I get the answer "they aren't here" then when I try to ask when they will be in I get hung up on. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. The customer service is horrible. read more
