This is a horrible, horrible place to take any of your love ones who suffer with mental illness of anykind, they can not help them, they give all kinds of psychiatric drug cocktails that can kill a herd of elephants. When I tried to contact my love one for several days in a row for 2 weeks, the only reply they kept telling me is my love one had a bad day! They kept my love one under sedation everyday, using the excuse it was a very bad day for my love one. My love one said they kept sending this person claiming to be an IRS Fed to interview them concerning name and telling them about they was never married, but had been legally married for over 22 years, before passing away in 2017. They told my love one if they DoNot co-operate they will Not be able to leave. Something Isn't right. This is illegal, if this is true. Aspire claim this did Not happen, my love one continues to stand their ground. My love one didnot know what to do. I was put in this hospital at the end of 2020 after a horrific incident at a bar. Instead of just letting me detox whatever was given to me, I was given 9 different prescriptions when they discharged me that I did not need. I don't believe ANYONE needs that many different medications. And the side effects almost cost me my life. After 2 years I'm thankfully off of all medications that were provided to me here. During those 2 weeks I stayed I was hallucinating, not sleeping and completely out of my mind. Instead of just letting me detox I was over medicated and I'm glad the nightmare is over. Find another place to go. Although there are some very professional and caring staff, the ugly ones override their positive actions. Threatening, rude, ugly, unnessarily mean and cruel. Like they hate their jobs. Sad. My doctor is someone I will never see again. Has no idea how to really treat patients with depression/anxiety. Not a compassionate man and doesn't listen to you or tells you you are unreasonable. Yells at you then when you yell back (mostly to get him to listen) he tells you that you can be committed for up to two months. I believe the only real reason they kept me for 5 days was because I have insurance. Doctor didn't like that I didn't want to stay. Had to get released against "his" medical advise. The facility is dirty, with mold/fungus/bacteria (whichever it is) in ALL the showers. Shower curtains could use a real bleaching. Just sweeping floors every day would be a big improvement, not to mention there are only brown paper bags for trash, even cups with liquids in them. They stink. If you are serious about mental health help, Find another hospital!!!!!! You aren't going to get real help here. read more

She was so knowledgeable, caring, supportive- even shared her personal experience with an injured knee- sharing information on topical creams, information about braces. Easily the most unprofessional medical staff I have dealt with. When told that their paperwork for a diagnostic exam was incorrect, I had to do all the footwork myself to get the paperwork corrected because no one took the initiative to double check with referring physician and refused to hear what I was telling them. They overcharged on the diagnostic exam claiming "I had not met my deductible" when I do not have one. I thereafter had to chase reimbursement from them for over a month; not ok when you have other exams and co-pays you need to pay for and you're out of pocket because they billed incorrectly. When referred for a X-ray at a later date, dealt with "Christina" who has a terrible attitude. She plays her music very loudly so that it is difficult to hear any phone conversation; evidenced by the fact that she had to call me back get the right number for referring physician because she did not write it down correctly the first time. She absolutely did not want to help and stated that she had not called physicians office earlier but "I guess I'd better call now before I start on something else". When I explained that I was attempting to handle whatever I could prior to my procedure date she stated I likely wouldn't owe anything because my deductible will probably have been met by the procedure. Again with this deductible that I don't have because no one actually verifies patient benefits ahead of time. It would be nice for anyone at this facility to remember that they are dealing with individuals who have much bigger fish to fry than to have to deal with nasty attitudes and complete apathy for their work. read more

I was scheduled for an MRI at 4:30 in which I had shown up for at 4:20. I was called to the front desk and told that they could not see me today as I am late and that I would need to reschedule. I asked if they could stay a little late to complete the imaging as it would be difficult for me to make it back in and I was told that they had other patients that were waiting for imaging. I scheduled the last appointment of the day so how would there be other patients after me still waiting to be seen? It sounds to me like they double booked and the other patient showed up before me. This place is a MIRAGE. We were intentionally misled into a family member's voluntary admittance - ultimately leading to a week long kidnapping (to collect money from our insurance). Looks very nice from the outside, but BEWARE!! Admittance will tell you everything you want to hear to trick you into using their facility, but once admitted, ultimately you receive little to no care and will fall victim to their scam that they call treatment. Here is our experience: As soon as we saw the condition of the inside of the facility, we requested a transfer of care (to relocate to a different in-patient facility). This apparently angered the "doctor" (Dr F. Torres)/staff. They denied our request without the doctor even evaluating the patient, and even went as far as to threaten my family that 'the doctor doesn't take kindly to multiple requests' and if we requested again, that they would hold her longer. The "care" provided for patients is a joke. My mother essentially received NO personalized care or counseling for depression (the whole reason for being there in the first place). Correct me if this is wrong, but would you consider learning the "Wobble" or the "Cuban Shuffle" group therapy? We chose this hospital for emergency intervention, not for dance lessons to use later at the local bar. The staff openly mocked and laughed at the patients, and in our case, yelled at my mom for receiving too many phone calls during scheduled phone hours - mind you, we have a family of 6 living throughout the state of Texas - there is no way that in their in-patient care, my mother could predict or control when a family member would call her. A staff member named "Natalie" openly targeted my mother, and had multiple excuses for her own behavior such as her tone being taken as a misunderstanding because "she's from the North, so her tone is often misinterpreted." I can't help but laugh at that - clearly this was not a misunderstanding because of her accent. She was purposely being demeaning. Thinking maybe she should apply more "mindfulness" into her conversations (as she noted that she felt she was doing in one conversation with my brother). Another issue to be aware of is the cleanliness/health concerns of the facility. The living/common area is unkept, the Air Conditioning doesn't work in the cafeteria/family visitation room, and we also had concerns of the "shared/community" shower rooms that didn't seem to be cleaned between each patient's use. Absolutely disgusting. I also noticed during her discharge on Wednesday, 6/7/17, that they had an expired Pharmacy license posted in the main office - see attached photo. Bottom line, this place is horrible. If you are considering getting help for a loved one and have this place in mind, the best advice I have for you is to RUN!!!! This poor excuse of in home health care turns a blind eye to neglect and abuse to children. They come and visit the patient that lives in filth with kids and does nothing to help. These people arent helping anything they are allowing people to hurt and neglect small children. One of the staff members used to work for CPS and told people the loop holes on how to make CPS go away when CPS needed to be involved. I dont know why they think its ok to allow neglect and abuse on small children it aint right at all! read more

Went to them for an MRI in Conroe today and ended up leaving before they had a chance to even do it. Aetna tells me it's going to cost me $203 out of pocket. Aspire tells me it will be $356 instead and because I need this done I go ahead and accept that. Once I start filling out the paperwork I find a form that has a spot for me to initial saying that I agree to be billed by Bryan Radiology Associates for "interpreting" the MRI. I ask how much that costs and they tell me they don't know. I get the phone number for Bryan RA and find out it almost doubles the cost of the procedure. I'm quoted $356 out of pocket and they expect me to pay $625 for it. No way on earth I'm doing that. Watch the paperwork if you go there. The devil is in the details. read more

This facility is a disgrace to the mentally ill. I realize it is a business that operates under strict guidelines and has certain criteria it has to meet. Still, the patient should be the primary concern of the staff. I can assure you, it is not. It is ran with complete incompetence. The professionalism rates 0. Their lack of care or concern for the patients they have been entrusted to is non-existent. Certainly no compassion for the different levels of needs a patient would need treatment for. Bottom line-- The funds they able to secure. A families last means, or what they can squeeze out of the insurance company. Texas rates last in the union for the care of the mentally ill. The vast majority of the staff here are very professional and caring. If there was ever a concern, I was able to communicate those and they would be resolved. I have had a very positive experience as a patient here. My favorite Therapist is Miranda. She is fun and has a contagious upbeat attitude. read more

The doctors on staff both medical and psych are very thorough and caring. Every patient is different so each course of treatment is also different. I wish that visiting hours were longer, but it was nice to see my family every day. The groups were good and covered a variety of helpful topics. If you let them help you, you definitely can be helped. One person's review talks about release. The law definitely makes release the hardest part, but again, if you follow treatment plan, release is much easier. Good luck to you. I hope you find what you are looking for... This is for Aspire hospital in Conroe. Call me crazy, but I believe medical institutions should be transparent about the amount patients are responsible for paying out of pocket. I also believe medical staff should be polite and helpful to each and every patient. I went here for imaging. I made sure to check what my out of pocket would be before arriving. Once I arrived I was told I would be billed separately by the radiologist in addition to what they would be charging me. Instead of helping me find out what additional costs I would incur, the lady at the front desk made me feel like I was being difficult when I stated I would like to call my insurance to ensure the radiologist was in network. She was rude and unprofessional. When my insurance wasn't able to tell me an exact amount but that the radiologist was in network I decided to go ahead with the imaging. The unprofessional front desk clerk decided to ask if I found out how much I would pay. When I told her they couldn't give me an exact amount she smiled and condescendingly said "I'm sorry". Her response was immature and rude. She was unwilling to lift a finger to help me find out what my out of pocket would be to the radiologist. She kept saying it would be an insignificant amount of money. What does that me? What's insignificant to you? How is that helpful in any way? It's a shame she couldn't just be understanding and polite because the radiology technician was wonderful. The two stars are for her! But never going back to this place. This is a horrible place. It is not a real hospital and there are no doctors on staff. They lie and won't let relatives visit and you have to threaten legal action to get a patient released. They misdiagnosed and drugged and drugged with highly addictive drugs. There is no lab on site and if any one gets sick they call 911. They represented themselves to be a chemical dependency facility, which they were NOT! Since my insurance wouldn't cover it, I had to pre-pay FIVE days in advance ($3500). I was told it covered everything except the doctor's fees which would be billed separately. I visited my son less than 24 hours after admitting him and they had him drugged up like a zombie. There had been no counseling sessions as I was promised. I showed up bright and early the next morning to get him out of that Cuckoo's Nest! At first they said he couldn't leave until the doctor said it was OK. After some arguing and name dropping -- not to mention threatening legal action -- they released him. A few weeks later I inquired about a refund. After numerous calls and a fax, someone finally called me back. There were 'additional charges' in the amount of $1100 for lab tests and drugs. Now, I am being ignored completely and have yet to receive ANY refund! Do not take your child there! read more

A family member was recently moved to this facility as a result of an attempted suicide and was a voluntary patient. I read several other reviews and was very concerned about the facility, both physical and staff/services. Nevertheless, I chose to trust. The overall experience was a positive one. The attending nurses and technicians were very kind, caring and helpful. The building itself was clean and very regimented, which was understandably necessary. I had no trouble with visitation and the staff was accommodating. My loved one received counseling support multiple times and found it helpful, although they were never seen by an actual doctor or therapist. Based on previous reviews, I was very concerned about the discharge process- thought it would take an act of God to be finally discharged. This turned out not to be true. My family member was told discharge would be noon on a certain day and everything was ready- paperwork and all, when I arrived for transport. All in all, I was very satisfied with the care and support that was provided. I appreciate everything Aspire did for my family. read more

This place is a total JOKE! They lie to you at intake, misrepresent services and have doctors that are not respected within their own community. I had to get a lawyer to get out of here because of their rules. They have absolutely no professionalism whatsoever. The facility is a rat's hole. Showers are broken, and those that work are filthy with black mold. They don't even have soap for the showers. They give you a little cup of soap and shampoo. At one point we were down to one shower for the entire facility! The food is all frozen or canned food that has been reheated and rehashed. Many people refused to eat the food served. Complaints go unheeded and they pay no attention to anyone. They insist on overloading people on meds and people walk around like zombies. I refused to take any of their meds at all. What a nightmare this place is. Their idea of therapy is putting foam puzzles of the USA together and playing children's games. The therapists use handouts I found in a high school freshman psychology workbook! This is therapy? Please do not let anyone you care for end up in this excuse for a hospital for any reason. You will do them much more harm than good. If you end up here, get a lawyer as soon as possible to get you out. The judge in my case threw the book at the hospital, and I was out within an hour.
