I didn't expected much going in to this lounge since the Alaska lounge in Los Angeles disappointed me much. This one was way better. The place is clean and bright. The good is good and have variety option to choose from. They also have self serves alcohol bar and wine which is awesome! It was quite pleasant relaxing here while waiting for my flight. read more

It was a comfortable place to sit and wait for our flight. The map pod was pretty comfortable too. I always feel like these places are overpriced, but it really isn't considering that our family would have needed to eat anyway. It also kept my kids out of the gift shop. I really enjoyed the food and the coffee. If you have a long time between flights I recommend this and make sure you download the right app to gain access. I used Dragonpass by MasterCard. read more

I liked this lounge. Check in was quick and easy with my Priority Pass. It was clean and open. It was busy when I went between 1230pm-3pm on a Monday, but my grandma and I were able to find seating. There was always an employee walking by collecting used dishes. The Wi-Fi was strong. There were plenty of beverage options. I like that there was beer on tap. The restroom was clean. I also like the little sleeper chairs at the back of the lounge. read more

Beautiful lounge with its problems. Nap / sleep lounges are poorly thought out and frankly disappointing. Ledge for you to charge phones or place your drink is set in the wrong place, the only 2 plugs of a 4 plug box are used to power the lounge chair and the lamp, the other 2 are blanks, leaving you with no place other then the plugs in the bottom of the recliner. The entertainment center, I use this word loosely, is crooked, the cable box too which balances on 2 "L" brackets as the power cables hang below. No remotes, or instructions. TV needed setting up before I could even use it. There are no call bells or buttons anywhere. No salt or pepper or at least it's not obvious read more

The Aspire Lounge in the trans-border concourse of Calgary's gleaming new airport is an inviting, modern space, a comfortable place to spend some time before a long flight. There's a variety of seating options, from tables and booths to seats that look like they belong on-board in business class. There's also three private loungers where you can just lie back, pull the curtain, and catch a quick pre-flight nap. The high-top table is great for setting up shop, with outlets a-plenty. The food selections are so-so at best, catering more to a European sensibility with a lot of hard meats and cheeses as part of the breakfast offerings. The eggs, despite being in a warmer, were cold and unappealing, while the hash brown patties were steamed rather than crisp - just don't. If you're hungry, stick with the cereals, yogurt, and fruit - always a safe bet. So, a great place to relax and get a little work done but, unless you have a credit card that gives you free entry (or PriorityPass), I wouldn't pony up the fee for a day pass given the quality of the food. Find a nice place to sit in the beautiful new airport instead and do a little people-watching! read more

The Lounge is very nice but there's not really any food available. They had pulled pork for a slider and what's supposed to be a salad bar but looks more someone's leftovers. read more

While the food was your standard affair but with some nice hot foods (waffles, scrambled eggs, potatoes), the amenities made up for the food quality. I thoroughly appreciated all the outlets available in the lounge and the sleeping rooms towards the end of the lounge. I was actually able to fall asleep and I felt much more rested for the plane ride home. read more

One of the better Priority pass lounges in my opinion. Went there around 6am, they had a hot breakfast going, decent no. of options (cheese, charcuterie, hash browns, scrambled eggs) and the other standard items. Lots of seating and power outlets and USB ports available at most seats. read more

Kind of a bummer. Advertises having a shower, yet it hasn't been working for months. Food choices were pretty sparse, considering this is basically an international lounge. On the plus side, there's plenty of room, seating is comfortable, TVs are large and the personal sleeping/lounging areas in the far back seem nice (didn't need a nap, but if I did, I would have used them). Perfectly good spot to burn an hour or two between flights but not worth paying for and certainly not up to the standards of a true international lounge. read more

Friendly staff, solid and fresh food, various drink choices (including pour-your-own cocktail or craft beer/wine walk-up bar), large HD TVs playing live sports with audio, individual seat stations with plenty of room and lamps/outlets. All new, nice design, different options to sit down... I really like the 3 lie down areas they have all the way in the back, great to take a nap. They also have showers which is a nice thing. The food is okay but nothing more. Drinks are okay as well. The staff should pay more attention to whats empty or not working. This lounge is better than the chinook lounge, but I think there is still potential for improvement. The opening hours are depending on the time of the year apparently, because they seem to be open until 10pm in the summer but only until 7pm in the winter. read more

Been using the Aspire lounge for years as a regular traveller. There is a reward card and in the past, I always received 1 stamp per person. Today, I only received 1 for two of us. When asked, I was told it was per visit. My reply was there are two of us visiting. That's two visits. I was refused the extra stamp. Not a big deal but consistency and training is the key to any business. Set my trip off on the wrong foot. Feeling grumpy now. read more

Swung by with a priority pass. I was able to bring my sister in as a guest despite having different outbound flights. This lounge has a beautiful interior with a variety of seating and plenty of outlets to charge our devices. There is at least one of every type of food/drink: one red wine, one white wine, two beers on tap, one sweet dessert liquor, and a variety of hard liquor, juices, and coffee. There was one soup, which had a good consistency, but did not quite taste like red peppers. There was one main course (butter chicken) with steamed carrots and jasmine rice as sides. The butter chicken was amazing, but the rice was dried out and hard. The desserts consisted of orange cranberry cake and brownies, both of which were delicious, but the brownies had quite a bit of grease on them. There are board games in the lounge, but unfortunately no newspapers/magazines to flip through. This is a lounge that is great to grab a quick bite/drink and relax, but not all the food and alcohol are quality. read more

We used the lounge with our Amex perk / Priority Pass membership. Really spacious and nice layout. Drinks and food and clean bathrooms. Not too crowded at all. Really attentive service and everything was clean and well maintained. Not sure what the price is if you need to pay but it's a nice place to relax and enjoy some downtime if you have a layover or just get the airport super early. read more

(Apparently Star Gold is OK only if you're flying Air Canada, but then why put an AirCan lounge over in the international flight terminal where all the United/Delta/Alaska/etc flights are?!) Love the look of this lounge! It was spacious, bright, and had lots of seating. It was still pretty busy at around 1pm, we had to eat in the dining area before getting a comfortable seat. There are a few pods as well but they were all taken. The self serve alcohol station was awesome. However, the food was just average. Teriyaki chicken and rice was okay. read more

We have a priority pass but their system doesn't recognize the card, we just used it 3 weeks ago, so i'm pretty sure it works, anyway, the staff asked if we have a bmo card to get in, which i am not sure why she's asing for a different card. The staff said they do not have access to our account! Anyway 3 other people trying to gEt in were turned away before us. So i guess not our lucky day. read more

The pros: some comfy seating; airy, clean and new feeling space with lots of glass; 3 napping pods with curtains for privacy; a decent beverage selection. The cons: the food and service (minus a star for each)The snack items are just ok- think plain potato chips, the snack mix with pretzels that comes in big bags at Costco, glasses of the generic chopped fruit blend that has melon/pineapple/red grapes, a covered tray of ham in a fridge.... We were there for 3 hours and barely anyone touched the hot food because it was terrible- it looked and tasted like massive trays of mismatched microwave dinner components. Mismatched because the day we were there the 3 trays contained Indian/American/Japanese items: basmati rice with cumin seeds, frozen peas+corn mix, and teriyaki chicken with broccoli and peppers. Service: we were assertively reminded about closing time several times even though our flight was prior to closing time, the food & drinks started to get put away an hour before what was supposed to be last call for refreshments, and the serving spoons weren't replaced the whole time we were there (seems minor, but that's poor food safety). Would I go back, though? Probably! This is a good, quiet, bright spot to get some work done and chill out between flights. Bathrooms and showers were nice, and the lounge seat in the napping pod was great for an exhausted power nap. read more

This could be the single worst lounge I have visited through the Priority Pass network, and it turns out this way on every visit I have had so far. In addition to my visits through Priority Pass, I have also entered through using Air Canada Business Class (like today 20 Jan 2017). In total I have used this lounge 6 times since it opened in Q4 2017. The lounge is: - consistently filthy dirty around the food areas - toilet and sinks regularly dirty - food has usually run out - condiments for food have regularly run out - can't find any napkins - no glassware to mix drinks - dirty glassware stacked up all over the drinks serving area - newspaper / magazine shelves empty And beyond the dirty / empty food area, the wine is a joke. This is sub $10/bottle wine (Apothec Red, you have to be kidding me !). Every other lounge I have been in at least serves drinkable adult wine, not wine my teenage kids drink with a straw. This visit today could not be more different from my most excellent experience at Vancouver airport today in the Plaza Premium lounge in Terminal B, which is always in amazing shape. This is a sad review for a lounge that is brand new by just a few months. It should be so much better. read more

This lounge is decidedly substandard compared to any of Air Canada's Maple Leaf Lounges. No shower facilities after a 10 hour flight earns them a 1 Star. From now on I'll avoid YYC and use YVR for overseas flights. read more
