My surgery was well explained weeks ahead of time, and my "caregiver" had clearly not read that written description. My verbal explanation and instructions to her were ignored. We are still dealing with a number of medical issues, but it is very comforting to have this wonderful service.. She reached out within days, knew my history, was kind, compassionate, and willing to help. She is such a pleasure to meet with and always thorough in explaining what is happening; providing detail in terms we can understand. She responds to my emails the same day! She doesn't have her support staff reach out unless it's a basic question, like med refill. A cancer journey is horrid, and it takes an amazing doctor to make it a pleasant in knowing that your doctor is doing all she can to help and at the same time allowing you to have a voice in the decision process. When I received a massage from Paul, it was out of this world! I am truly grateful to him for all his expertise, incredible focus and intuition. Paul has taught me so much from just one massage, I am inspired to specialise in the same way - his style is multifaceted and unique. He is a rare individual, a natural massage therapist and he clearly loves his trade. Paul's work is a labour of love, and one only needs to put their trust in him to experience such intense nurture and healing. He works into and releases muscle attachments. His work is very strong (worth being aware of this) and flowing so I would recommend his technique to people who enjoy/wish to experience firm and flowing massage. There is a Thai massage style to his work, so expect to be moved into yogic positions unless specified. He is a creative and doesn't appear to follow a sequence, while working closely with the breath. Paul's massage on me was soothing in the same way that it was strong. It was deeply relaxing and rejuvenating for me. If you choose to book a massage with Paul, rest assured that you will be his sole focus and trust that all is well, you are safe in his capable hands. I had 2 obnoxious roommates after my first one died and Dina again worked it out to my current roommate who is working out well. Do not send things to the laundry as I lost a dress before realizing this is par for the course The staff was very kind and pleasant including when dealing with truly abusive and combative patients. This facility is the only one I have ever been to so I have no comparison. PT & OT were great. I greatly underage time I would need to recover from extensive back surgery. I'm currently set to leave in 2 weeks which is 14 weeks after coming here. One of the social workers was very helpful with discharge planning but the one usually here seemed distracted and did not follow up on homecare after several requests. I found the food to be decent but was unable to meet with the nutritionist after the first to change my original diet. You go into an individual pod filled with water super-saturated with epsom salt that's set to a temperature of 95 degrees which is equivalent to human skin temperature. The benefits of using these pods are for relaxation, reduction of pain and inflammation, and stress relief. Once you're in, you basically float in zero gravity. It's hard not to fall asleep because it's so relaxing haha! Customer service was excellent. The young lady helping us was friendly and efficient. It was very easy to book over the phone. You have to call them to get into and out of the parking garage but someone always picked up the phone. The pods were clean and the shower stocked with all essentials including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and towel. Some tips: - come dressed in casual clothes and sandals so you can use in the shower and in and out of the pod - bring a brush to comb your hair after (they have a hair dryer there) - put in the moldable plugs before you go into the shower and pod to ensure they are tightly in Would definitely recommend everyone experience this at least once! They say to get meaningful benefit they recommend trying it at least 3 times.

I got into my float tank and something felt off. I got out mid-session and started looking around. What I found and documented with approximately 40 photographs was one of the most unsanitary commercial facilities I have ever seen in my life. There was visible black mold growing inside the float tank itself. On the lid seam. On the interior walls. On the door seal. This is the enclosed space that customers pay to lie inside and breathe recycled air for up to 90 minutes. The shower rooms had black mold covering the grout on every wall, every floor, and every corner. The ceiling panels had rust bleeding through them. The HVAC vent had visible mold and rust buildup on the filter screen, which means contaminated air is being actively circulated to every room in the building. The walls had paint blistering and bubbling off, which is what happens when moisture and mold are growing behind the wall surface, not just on it. When I contacted the business and requested a refund, they told me that what I photographed was not mold and was not dangerous. They refused to issue a refund. I have filed a formal complaint with the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health requesting an immediate inspection and suspension of operations until professional mold remediation is completed and the facility passes reinspection. I have also disputed the charge with my bank.

Harborview Senior Assisted Living exceeded my expectations…read more After an increasing number of falls and associated hospitalizations, I was no longer able to care for my 91 year old mother at my home. She didn't want to have to move into an institution and I didn't want her in one either. However I also didn't want her in a place so small there wasn't activities and stimulation. I'm so happy that with the help of a placement guide we found HarborView. It's a beautiful mansion with manicured gardens set on a hill overlooking the stunning San Diego Bay that has 30 residents, a full staff and daily activities. After moving in we quickly found out that the staff is what really makes this place special. They are loving, attentive, respectful, courteous, caring and fun. There are always lots of smiles, laughter and music to enjoy as well as good food and the highest quality of care. I cannot recommend this place more. HarborView Senior Assisted Living was truly an answer to our prayers. It was the perfect place for my beloved mother's final days. It is a beautiful loving caring home, not an institution. She has left us now, but she was both blessed and enriched by the love and care she received from their wonderful staff. I, and all of our family, was blessed by them as well. Thank you HarborView.
