Are you kidding me ?????? Never rely on any cab company in Calgary!!!!!! I tried calling at 2pm and 10 pm the day before then decided to trust the online booking which didn't show up at 615 the next morning. Leaving me very stressed and almost late! Luckily I have great friends who will crawl out of bed to help me out. If at all possible never use cabs in this city they are few and far between. I was so angry that I called the cab company ever 5 seconds the whole way to the airport but it was hopeless. Couldn't get through. Hailed a cab from downtown calgary on saturday night and had a stop on 12 ave to let myself and husband out my daughter and son-inlaw where continuing on the way to 16th ave and 19st. my husband paid the driver 20.00 the meter read 5.70 at the time and told the driver to put the balance towards the rest of the fare. when my daughter got to 16 av and 19th street the cabbie charged them 20.00 full fare because he knew they did not know we already paid. I called the cab office on monday they told me because I didn't have the taxi number I was out of luck. I know my amount of business is not going to hurt associated cabs but I won't deal with a company that employees thieves. That cabbie knew exactly what they where doing. I've used associated cabs a lot for rides to the airport for both personal and business trips and they've never let me down. Sure, folks you book with on the phone can sometimes be a tad terse and every now and then you get a cabby who could be friendlier or plays weird music, but they reliably and efficiently get me from point A to point B and that's what matters to me. read more

We ordered a cab from 56 Discovery Ridge Cir. going to 58 Spring Bank Heights Loop from associated cab on Saturday, December 14 1 AM. The cab driver showed up pick this up in the cab and started driving towards our destination. He asked us for a payment method and we statedthat we would pay by MasterCard or debit. The driver in car 1579 RAJ insisted that we pay cash. At this time I let him know that I cannot guarantee that we have cash at home but indeed we have debit or MasterCard at that time he drove us back to the original residence and drop us off. When I called an agent asking when will the cab arrive, he rudely responded that he has no idea and I should call a cab driver. I called at 430 on a Friday to book a van cab. My family and friends had a reservation downtown for 630, I requested the cab to come for 6. At 6:05 I phoned asking where our cab was and the operator said no one had picked up the ride yet and should be soon. At 6:15 I phoned again and was told that we just had to wait because it was busy. We waited another 10 minutes and no cab. We ended up having to drive our selves down and were late for our reservation and got turned away. Horrible service. If I book a cab for 6 and it's a busy time, I would expect a phone call to be informed. Not impressed read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The people you talk to when you call in, probably have the worst customer service. They act as if you are an inconvenience. And their debit machines? Bull shit. I paid 3 separate times, each time being told it didn't go through, the third time I decided to look at my account balance. It had gone through the first time. While this idiotic cab driver still demanded I pay. I even went as far as to show him my bank account, showing that it had indeed gone through, THREE TIMES. Yet he still demanded that I pay. Luckily he had already handed ,me my card, so i just walked out of the cab, and reported him to his superiors. Next time I used a cab, i went with Checkers. Fantastic, fast service. Professional drivers. never had to wait longer than 10-15 minutes. They are also a bit cheaper. If you are ever in pinch, go with Checkers. If I could post in the minus I would. My mother, who is a senior with Alzheimers and in a wheelchair was waiting for at least 2.5 hours for her taxi. Her care giver had called at 4:00 to order the taxi and then she called Associated Cab at 5pm and they said yes they will get a taxi for her. Then she notified me at 6pm that they were still stranded at the mall and that my mother had missed her dinner at her care home. I called the co. asking for a supervisor. They said they would have to call me back. In the meantime, I asked the agent where is the taxi? She said she does not have access to dispatch. I asked them to have the supervisor call me. I have yet to hear from the supervisor. It has been at least 1.25 hrs since I requested to speak to the supervisor. I called Checker cabs and the agent was able to easily contact her dispatch and she said it would be a 45 min wait. I told her my mother had been already waiting for 2.5 hrs because of Associated. She rechecked for me and found a taxi in the area and luckily they came within 15min. I called 311 and reported the egregious service to them and there is a Livery Transport body that oversees the taxis. They should not be in business. I can see why Uber is taking over. read more

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. I'd rent a car first. What a rip off. I can't review this company any lower but I would if I could. My family travelled from Toronto to Calgary for a wedding on the final weekend of the 2014 Stampede. Friendly city? I grew up in Calgary but I guess things have changed. My daughter was the last to arrive on Friday night late. She got in a cab at the curb at the airport. She needed a car with a credit card machine so she asked the driver if he had one. He waited until he drove away to tell her that his machine may not work. They arrived at the destination and of course the machine didn't work!!! So what does he do???? First he makes my daughter feel like crap because his machine doesn't work. She informs him that there is an ATM close by. He doesn't turn the meter off but charges her for the extra distance to go to the ATM and then return to the house. This is crap!!! I understand Associated Cabs has the monopoly on service to the Calgary Airport. What a rip off. We were busy all day Saturday due to the wedding so didn't call to complain until Sunday morning. When we called the company to explain the situation they responded that it was now too late to complain and we should have done it on Friday at midnight. I think not. This is their problem not ours and their customer service from start to finish has been terrible. This could have been handled so much better. Even in the big bad city of Toronto the cabs are run in a much more professional manner. We were very disappointed!!!! read more

If Zero stars were an option it would be what I would have chosen. .I was using a cab to get from my brothers house home after a party. I was not asked upon arrival what my method of payment would be. So halfway through the drive I bring up in conversation that I have vouchers to pay for the cab that were given to me by my work company. He tells me they won't work. They were going to cover 30$ of my 47 dollar ride. I planned my evening around it and even turned down offers from other people to get a ride home because I had them. They do not have any expiry date whatsoever on them and they do not state anything about restriction applying in any case. The driver told me it was allover the news that they were being discontinued but when I typed it into a search engine it showed nothing about that. He called their head office about it with them on speaker and the person on the phone agreed that they were discontinued. I asked why they don't state that there could be any possible restrictions on the vouchers. He had no answer. I am going to be bringing news into this...and possibly the law too. Not only am I very displeased with paying but I and super unimpressed if not a paled by the customer service they provided. Called Hashtag Taxi and next available cab company came on the line being Associated Cabs. I am a middle aged lady. A female Associated Cab customer service representative/dispatcher came on the line (if you can call her that); it was Saturday Feb 20, 2016 approx. 11:45pm and I told her I needed a cab for an address in Taradale in Calgary. She said she could not send a cab to that address. I said what and asked her why (it was a residence) she said I am not at liberty to tell you that and she further said that I would have to call another company. She could have been pleasant and professional and said something like I'm sorry we have no cabs available for that area at this time, you will need to call another company duh? Totally rude and very very unprofessional. Dumb founded I told her well sucks to be you cause this just cost an Associated driver a big tip. And in future I will never recommend or call this Associated Cab company again. P.S. if you don't have taxi service available then your company should not be on or come up on the Hashtag Taxi service convenience next in line! Most definitely the most rude and unprofessional customer service I have ever encountered; this woman should not be in a business that is supposed to provide customer service with integrity, friendliness and professionalism. Calgary's Finest!! On a recent trip to the U.K. to begin a 12 day European cruise, my wife and I fell victim to the Zoom Airlines fiasco in Halifax. We were fortunate to be able to get another flight to Calgary, albeit two days behind schedule. This is where the real trouble started. If any of you has experienced the excruciating pain of a severely abscessed tooth, then you will appreciate our dilemma. Despite having travelled extensively throughout North America and beyond, we had never been to Alberta before. Once again, we had the good fortune of finding "Rip", a driver for Associated Cab. After explaining my situation, he quickly formulated a plan to help. He took us to his dentist, which was closed for the long weekend. Far from giving up, and after enlisting the help of his good wife by phone, we finally arrived at Brentwood Village Dental Clinic. (Special Thanks to Dr. Ronda Salloum as well!!). Anyway, to sum up, we feel that Rip went far beyond the call of duty and he essentially saved our trip, allowing us to get to our cruise ship 2 hours before sailing from Southampton. I wouldn't use this company. We have a contract to use them through my work. They are always late, and hard to get through to. The drivers often leave, sometimes with other passengers. We use them to do home visits with patients from the hospital. We have told them that we need them to be courteous and wait, as we are often trying to get elderly frail people to the door of the hospital to meet the cab. These are also people that shouldn't be expected to wait for an hour at the door! I have tried to use their wheelchair taxi service. Tried to pre-book a ride twice, only to be told while waiting at the door that there is no wheelchair cab available. After waiting an hour on both occasions, we chose to haul the patient in and out of a regular cab...back breaking work. For a company that is suppose to have a contract to provide these services, they do a horrific job. I will never use them again, and I plan on discussing the cancellation of their contract with Alberta Health Services. Beware. I do agree...the drivers are very polite, and very nice. The operators are miserable, and the supervisors are full of empty promises. read more

hi, i am sending this because of the poor response we had after a christmas party nov 30. we were given taxi vouchers for the ride home and started phoning at 11:00 pm. until 1:30 am only to get a busy signal. a simple response " no cabs available" would have worked. unbelievable to get such poor connection. we finally got yellow cab. we are all seniors and one couple was from out of town. sadly disappointed with associated cabs read more

If I could give them no stars I would! I used their cab company to get home awhile ago from a night on the town. At first I thought that it was a regular ride. A quiet driver tired from driving and just wanted to go home. Asked me where I lived, I gave him my address and said I would like to go a certain way A: because it was faster B: because I had been drinking and just wanted to get home. I sat in the backseat and wasn't watching the meter MY MISTAKE! What started at 10.00 became 62.00!! And I live 15 minutes from were I was. At that point I was way too tired and figured they're rates must have gone up paid by debit. I know for a fact I did not tip as that was a lot more expensive then it used to be paid and went inside. The next day I decided to look at the damage in my bank account and noticed that my be it card was charged 124.00!! I was charged TWICE. As it was two separate transactions that came out of my bank! I called thinking it was a simple mistake yet I was still mad and when I called they didn't give a care in the world. They said that it was none of their concern and that it was my fault. I couldn't believe it. I was calm and compliant the whole time on the phone and was just looking to be reimbursed or have a sort of credit but when I asked they said no it was still my fault and put the phone down. I find there customer service disgusting. From now on I'm using calgary cab. It's half the price and the drivers are 100x nicer! read more
