While seated in the waiting room, I could clearly hear a discussion taking place from an office with the door left wide open. The conversation involved a prospective employee and included comments such as, "she's been sober for four months," "maybe this is her opportunity for a second chance," and speculation about what a pending background check might reveal. Regardless of the individual's circumstances, discussing sensitive personal and employment-related information in a manner that is audible to patients and visitors demonstrates a serious lapse in professional judgment. As someone who has held leadership responsibilities, I would expect management to understand that conversations involving candidate evaluations, personal history, or background screening information should be conducted privately and with discretion. If I were the candidate being discussed, I would be deeply concerned to learn that such personal matters were being openly shared within earshot of strangers. Respect, dignity, and confidentiality should be afforded to every individual, regardless of their background or current circumstances. Unfortunately, this experience has significantly diminished my confidence in the practice's professionalism, and I will be seeking care elsewhere. I would, however, like to note that the front desk staff were courteous, welcoming, and professional throughout my visit. Their conduct stood in stark contrast to what I observed elsewhere in the office.

James Optical fit the bill! I underwent an eye exam and was fitted with contacts, and then sent home to try them for three weeks. I was asked to return at the end of the three weeks, at no charge, to again check the fit and make sure it was right. I was very happy with their service, and will need to look no further!

From scheduling appointments and billing me, to performing tests, and fitting glasses, the women were terrible at their jobs and for the most not pleasant to deal with. A woman gave me a test, during which I questioned her doing something a certain way. She told me she was doing it right and continued. When the doctor later commented on the odd results he was seeing, I mentioned my concern and guess what, never having even know of this type of test or the apparatus involved, I knew more about how to do it than the technician assigned to operate it did. The doctor did reprimand her about it, but still. I came in to them explaining how the prior place had messed up the focal points of my lens for my last pair of glasses, and sure enough, they did the same thing. They had taken "pictures" in doing a certain test. On getting my eyes examined the next time (somewhere else), I called to get these "pictures" for the doctor to compare. They not only didn't give me the pictures, but told me I had never had any sort of such a test done, so the pictures didn't exist. A flat out blatant lie. I just don't know if it was ineptitude or to cover up their having lost them. If it weren't for this being something a bit serious, it would be laughable how terrible a place this is.

First, there is an online intake form, no problem! Except I tried to do it from my laptop (as instructed, they say it will not work on your phone), took the 15 minutes to input everything and then the Submit button did not work. Tried again (another 15 minutes) and same thing! I gave up after that. Bad technology! Arrived 5 minutes early to my 8:30 am apt. There was 3 girls working the front office. I checked in, explained how the form online didn't work to press submit, so filled out the rest of the forms there. 8:45 passes. 9 am passes. 9:15 passes. I was told to "spend some time picking out my frames" to pass the time - which I would have gladly done except for the 90 pairs they have showcased were not attractive or the style I was looking for. Plus, these are part-time glasses - I don't need to spend $500 on a pair of frames just for when I get online to type Yelp reviews! FINALLY at 9:30 I was greeted by the OD. By the way, I witnessed only a small child who was having her glasses fitted and one man who finally exited the exam room. Having to wait an additional 20 minutes for the old school glaucoma eye dilation screening...I was fuming. The exam was fine by Perrysburg standards, and she charged my insurance $200 for mediocre technology, 1.5 hours of my day, awful selection of frames. Having moved back from Chicago - where my exam was $125, and new technology for glaucoma screening is completed in 30 seconds with an eye MRI (I'm not the sales rep, I have no idea what the technology is called...) machine that depicted to the doctor and myself the exact anatomy at that moment of time of my eye. Would not return, nor recommend.

Pure Vision Center was the first place that came up when I searched nearby doctors through my…read moreinsurance, and they were the only place that had extended hours so that I wouldn't have to leave work too early which is greatly appreciated. The receptionist is super friendly and was great in explaining the cost of contacts and eye exam after insurance (which was dirt cheap especially with the rebate) and scheduling an appointment within a week. I was seen promptly by the doctor, and he was also patient and kind. I was relieved that they don't use the puff machine to test eye pressure because that's honestly the part I hate the most about eye appointments lol. I was in and out in 30 minutes with contacts that came in 2 days. I would definitely recommend coming here for your eye appointments!
