I have been a patient of Dr Woods for many years. She has always patiently listened to my concerns and thoroughly addressed them. This includes preventative & diagnostic testing, referrals to specialists, prescription refills and completion of medical documentation. I trust her and have no complaints. As far as scheduling appointments, pay attention to the message indicating operating/lunch hours and realize there are peak times that they will be busy (Monday mornings, flu season, etc...). read more

I've been going to AIA for 3 years. Despina is awesome! She advises, educates and is very kind with her recommendations. She takes really good care of me. The rest of the staff has always been courteous and helpful. Every year when Medicare tries to get me to switch, I stay with AIA. Very good place for medical care. They've seen me on short notice a couple times and have a very good scheduling system. I've never experienced "attitude" from any of the employees and as an adult, I appreciate the mutual respect and expectations for common courtesy on both sides. It isn't a widget factory. Sometimes things happen to cause a bit of delay. The care I receive there consistently is first rate! Very thankful for the whole team there. read more

If you can make it past the front desk staff, supposedly the doctors are good. However, the front staff are incompetent. They don't send out reminders, they don't let you know that you need to be there 15 minutes early for your appointment, and they give you an attitude right from the beginning. I showed up 15 minutes early for my appointment, and when they went to check me in. They told me I was late because they were dealing with another client who had questions about their appointment later in the day. So they said my doctor already had a patient at this time , I could reschedule for another time and day. I tried talking to the office manager over the phone to reschedule, and she gave me some song and dance about having to be in the room by my scheduled appointment time otherwise I was late. read more

Agree with the "Less than 1 star review" from prior......no returned calls, individuals of whom don't communicate at all or well, and MOST OF ALL Dr's that only do the "Standard protocol", if this/than that......NOT PROGRESSIVE CARE.....they are REACTIVE CARE Physicians. Our Mom on a med that for over 10 YEARS has not changed anything! We just came across this from an old lab work report and saw the value was the same as reported years ago...YET, still on the same med and dosage! For what purpose? To keep at the elevated level that she was put on the med years ago? Isn't the purpose to get to normal? Office called to make appt with me 2 weeks in advance. Checked in, was not told the NP was running an hour behind! Heard receptionist telling other person checking in. I was a patient of Dr T. for decades but in recent years I had to wait several weeks to see him forcing me to go to other places for more urgent issues. I recently developed very high blood pressure and was told by my immunologist to see my primary care doc tor right away. Upon calling Associated Internists of Ahwatukee, I was told it would be a month in a half to get in to see anyone in Ahwatukee or I could get an appointment in Sun Lakes in 11 days. I am now going to look for a new primary care doctor somewhere else. Terrible service! read more

Inefficient and frustrating operation. I was given just one form to fill out which I did. When I was seen by the nurse, she tells me I first need to fill out a bunch of "new patient" forms before she can see me and I will need to reschedule 3 weeks. I COULD HAVE FILLED OUT THESE FORMS EARLIER WHILE I WAITED 30 MINUTES IN THE WAITING ROOM. So I have to take time off from work twice for a "wellness visit" because they have a messed up operating system. Frustrating experience every time I visit! read more

I'm only giving 2 stars because the nurse practitioner that I saw was very nice. It has been over a month since I had my first visit and I have received zero calls back. I got blood work and imaging done and am completely unaware of the results because I have yet to receive a call back. I have left multiple voicemails regarding this and new concerns and have still received nothing. After multiple attempts over the course of multiple days I finally got through to the reception who promptly transferred me before i could even finish my sentence. Now I have to find a new doctors office and rack up more medical bills, so that's cool. read more

If you could leave less than a 1 star review, Associated Internists is deserving of it. The online portal for messaging your provider is not monitored or acknowledged. All Voicemails take at least 48 hours to get a response and more than likely you will need to call to get any type of response. read more

Don't waste your time with them. Over 5 weeks to get results from blood work and urine test. No one answers the phone, you are left on hold a minimum of 30 to 40 minutes, when they do answer and you ask to speak to a certain person, they either hang up on you or you get voicemail. No return call happens. Don't waste your time sending an email to your doctor either. No response. Been waiting for 5 weeks now trying to get results sent to a specialist of their recommendation, the specialist is calling me to help them get the results because the specialist doesn't even get a call back or response. Find another provider, they are terrible. They do not even deserve a 1 star. read more

I should have trusted all the reviews about EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have been trying to get a refill on generic lipitor for over 2 weeks, a medication I have taken for over 20 years. Should be easy right?! Multiple requests faxed from my pharmacy. After I ran out, I called the office on Friday afternoon and was told they would make it a priority since I was out of medication. Nothing all weekend. Now Monday afternoon and I have been on hold for 45 minutes! I have no problems with the physician I see but the response and follow up time is ridiculous. Moving on to a more patient oriented provider that actually provides patient care with some customer service. read more

I can't comment on the Dr because I can't get in to see one but I can definitely say the staff that greets you prior to even seeing the doctors are extremely rude. My parents go here and every time my mother checks in the one lady in the front is so mean and rude. I tried seeing a doctor myself today but again as I was greeted (or not) she wouldn't let me fill out the new patient paperwork, she refused to allow me to see the doctor because they failed to call to give me a Doctors name I'd be seeing to update it on my insurance and the whole time she's acting as if it was my fault. They definitely need to place her old self in the back and allow a new person to greet patients. She is NEVER NICE, and she's seriously not presentable for being seen in front. I'll definitely be finding another PCP. Seems others on this platform agree. read more

My husband used these services recently and their billing department is horrible! They text you a bill and we tried to call them about it with no success. They refer you to another number, per a recording. Was on hold forever, then disconnected. I asked for a call back by pushing a number and never received a call back. When I finally reached a human she barely spoke English and was VERY hard to understand. She put me on hold and was disconnected. Such inept people working in billing departments today! Just wondering if it is protocol for the office (Brenda) to LIE to patients. I have received several voicemails claiming I had a past due bill from an office visit. I have never been treated at the office. Upon talking to a rep I was told that was a MISTAKE, and upon direct communication, she couldn't explain what the charges were for......but I had a bill for 200+, and another outstanding bill from 2016....again couldn't explain. My insurance has tried several times to contact with no positive results. This office needs to be evaluated for FRAUD I had to give at least 1 star for my post to go forward. read more

I was a patient for 4 years and must admit that my providers were very good. However office appointment scheduling was extremely inconvenient , and my medical assistant was rushed all of the time. In fact, many times I had to schedule Tele-Med office visits in order to get my lab results and messages to my practitioner. Finally after my last complaint about the continuous lack of MA support, I was sent a Termination of Services letter. If you want to belong to a medical practice like K-Mart, then this place is for you. If you want a caring, devoted medical experience, I would highly recommend another physician. read more

Absolutely the worst doctors office in Phoenix. They withheld my mom's medication due to not getting bloodwork. Now that the blood work is done. It's been 3 weeks and no one has reached out. Called office several times and they send you to a voicemail. So finally had to go into the office in person and still got no where. Reporting this office to the Arizona Medical Board. This office will kill you. Finally getting the right person on the phone things could not get resolved. She said she was only a messenger and there is nothing that she can do. Been to multiple facilities and this one is truly the worst. I do not recommend this to anyone. Think twice before going to a facility like this. read more

I have been a patient here for over 16 years. Dr, Mouaikel is outstanding. When diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, he met with my wife and I for over 45 minutes to discuss the disease and medication to control it. On every other appointment he is never in a rush, discusses the issues and the procedures to remedy the issue. I find him to be the exception to other doctors in this state. I have had several medical issues that Dr, Mouaikel has handled immediately and will answer your concerns, order prescriptions etc. in the same day while you wait. One time he answered my inquiry on a Sunday evening from home. I have blood work every 2 weeks because of another issue, withing 2 days I have my results in the patient portal and a phone call from the support staff. Despina is a gem and again, is attentive to your concerns, orders necessary testing etc. I would suggest if you were having difficulties getting an appointment or questions answered, just stop into the office. read more

Natalie Tejada will not return any calls or send in my prescriptions after 2 months of me trying to get a hold of her. You can never talk to a real person and have to leave a message on her assistants' machine which she never returns your calls even though it says she checks it 2 times daily. This is the worst care I have received and this is suppose to be my primary care and I can get zero care. My first prescription was sent in then was canceled or can't be found anymore and they wont return my calls to explain what is going on. Now I have to start the entire process over and find a new provider immediately as it would be nice to have an ethical provider that cares for their patients. read more

Lauren blitzer is amazing I had her for months and months and when she transferred to a new practice (sun lakes family physician) this office would NOT let her inform her patients that she was leaving and would NOT tell them where she moved. I was lucky enough to see her and be informed but highly recommended sun lakes family physicians they actually answer phone calls and greet you with a smile on their face. I spent 25 mins on hold, was referred on a STATS to have a CT scan at 8:30 am finished that & my doctor or her assistant never called me back on a STATS until 5:30 pm A STATS means above all other must be answered high priority, they claim so muon Ned didn't send over my information & they had been waiting all day even though I called 6 times, I was told they are super busy by Natalie's medical technician that they were understaffed & didn't have TIME to get back with me, mean while I called Simon med to find out they in fact did send the results immediately on a STATS. Request, why am I being lied to & quality of care is not given. Very disappointed in Natalie & more her assistant for lying to me, not receiving stats till 10 hrs later even with me calling 6 times during the day! read more

Office is unresponsive. Had to walk in to get my own results to take to the referral specialist I was sent to cause they never sent my labs to the referee office. Had labs drawn again and lady put my insurance in computer wrong and had to call lap corp to explain why insurance wasn't working. Had to go back to office a week later to receive my labs as office never called to lmk. NP doesn't listen to me as if she thought I was lying when I tell her how much I work out and healthy I eat and she continues to call me obese. I told her I want to try sema glutide and I get a eye roll with a "that's a short term fix" okay than help me to help myself. After going to this office for 15years I'm finding a new PCP. read more

I will not post a negative review unless I feel that the public can benefit from this information. I was a patient until 2019 when I had pulmonary & cardiac symptoms (including severe pain), and all the NP said was to "sit up straight and stop slouching." Yes, this really happened. The next day, I went to Banner University ER and was diagnosed, properly treated, and recovered four months later. Before that episode, like previous posters, I also had difficulty getting refills and getting medical assistants to call back. The office staff appear to be overwhelmed and the doctors and NPs overly busy. I've since switched to a practice that has none of these issues. It doesn't have to be this way. Edit: A relative of mine still is a patient there, and now his doctor (Fatima Martinez) is leaving. There is only one doctor at AIA who can take him on as a patient, and she isn't able to see him for four months. An overloaded practice is not a good thing. read more

Ok, so I found my Doctor totally by freak accident. Last year, I was in need of some medical attention, and did not have a regular Doctor out here. I checked with my health insurance company, and found this place. There are a few main reasons I like it here. First, they have several different doctors that practice here. Their a team of sorts. They also have 2 nurse practitoners that work here as well, that seem to be very qualified. But, my selling point? Saturday morning hours!!! I now find that he convienience of going in to the Drs on a Saturday is wonderful!! This office is so clean, and so modern! When I last met with the Nurse practioner, she was willing to electronically send my script to the Pharmacy of my choice! NICE! I love this place! I found my new doctors office. read more

Horrible horrible office. Doctors are nice but it is managed by inefficient staff. Wait time is very long and no one cares about it. We had to walk out today- appointment was at 3PM and no called us after waiting for 50 minutes. They don't value patients time. I had to skip work to take my daughter for 3PM appointment. No one calls back if pharmacy leaves a message for prescription. You have to be physically there to get anything done. Staff is always running around and i am not sure if they are busy or just pretending to be busy. Have started my search for new practice. Stay away from this practice. read more

What a horrible organization. They behave like predators all spoken in a baby voice. So gross. Was trying to sort out a supposed balance due. Was interrupted constantly and never given a viable option to satisfy the payment unless I gave this person my credit card over the phone with no invoice!! Are you kidding me? Fishing much?? This person wouldn't send me an invoice, even though they said they did, couldn't send it to me over email nothing. Her excuse was she does not generate the invoices. She's from the billing department but doesn't generate invoices. Hmmmmm Just pay now or we send you to collections. I was floored!!! I made an appointment for an infection in my little finger from a splinter and when I got into the back, after waiting for 25 minutes past my appointment time, my vitals were taken by a very friendly MA and everything was good. She asked what I was there for and I explained about my finger. While I was there I thought I'd have the Nurse Practitioner, Natalie Tejada, to check me for a POSSIBLE, sinus infection. Natalie, I will not call her doctor, refused to see me in the office I was ALREADY in and wanted me to go to my car and call her for a teledoc appointment instead or go to UrgentCare. Now, how is she going to address the infection in my finger over my cellphone?? I have NO symptoms of COVID and my finger went unaddressed. I refused to use the teledoc for my appointment noting that she couldn't properly address my finger over the phone. I demanded that they refund my copay as she was refusing to see me. I have had issues with Natalie Tejada before but thought for this particular issue she could handle it. Well, I guess not. If you go to this office DO NOT make appointments with Natalie Tejada. You will end up disappointed. The rest of the staff at this office is amazing and I will continue to go to this location for them. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Please pay attention to their reviews. They saw my husband sent him for an X-ray for chest pains and other symptoms. Then despite him calling and then saying Natalie the PA would calling she never did. After several other calls and trying to get an appointment the front desk lady said not to worry his xrAy was normal. When he questioned this and said nicely he was still having symptoms she hung up on him. A True Professional right. I am a professional in healthcare and this place was negligent and best. No one has ever called to follow up with tests or his symptoms. I got him into another dr for an emergency appointment and that dr sent him to the hospital as he was concerned about heart issues or aneurysm. Guess what there are issues. He was referred to a cardiologist who detected a problem with heart beats and is very concerned. Still no call from these people. Then after I posted a negative review on Facebook he got a letter discharging him from their practice but saying they'd provide "emergency" care for next 30 days. What a CYA letter and by the way they've provided no care!!!! They won't even call him or schedule. Good luck thinking a letter will cover your negligent care and failure to follow up. I am in the process of reporting them to the appropriate medical board. Please please please stay aware from this place you might pay with a hefty price your life.
