Kendra, the assistant was happy and reassuring and we were able to do blood work at this location. I also witnessed one of the office staff taking some time to help an elderly patient with her paperwork, going so far as to come to waiting area to help. What a great staff all the way around. Very happy with the care and help we received.

I was repeatedly contacted by the office to schedule a Medicare Annual Wellness Visit, which Medicare considers optional for patients. After I declined the visit and canceled a scheduled appointment by voicemail, I was contacted by office staff regarding a "no-show." The conversation became argumentative, and I was told that if I did not complete the wellness visit, my prescription refills would not be authorized. I later received an email from Dr. Tokatlian acknowledging that the Medicare Annual Wellness Visit is not mandatory for patients, but he also informed me that it would be best for me to transfer my care to another primary care physician. During the same period, I was managing several significant medical issues, including prostate cancer, melanoma, and other specialist care. Rather than feeling supported during a difficult time, I felt that office policy had become more important than my long-standing physician-patient relationship. I appreciate the care I received over many years, but based on my recent experience, I cannot recommend this practice.

They are quick to send you out on referrals to get rid of extra…read morestuff to do themselves & to try to prove you unstable; when documentation comes back that genetic disorders do exist and the other diagnosed conditions are legitimate they realize that you will cause too much headache for them and make up lies about you to get rid of you. I am in a specialized standup walker & wheelchair, I cannot drive due to my disabilities; I do not even live in Maricopa County; there are NO buses where I live & cannot take public transportation services w/o my caregiver; yet they lied & said I threatened their life. It was interesting that it was after several doctors that EVIM referred me to had gotten after them for not doing things correctly concerning my diagnosis's & thats when they decided to of had my last visit on 05/07/2025 be my last appointment and claimed they gave me an exit exam & referrals but that didn't happen and I was told this on 5/29/2025 @ 8am when a family member had an appointment at 1:30pm on the same day. Thats when they said that if I attempted to bring the family member to their appointment then they would call the police & have me arrested. I gasped! Then I researched online & found out the went from 4 stars in Jan 2025, down to 1-2 stars (depending upon the search engine used) in May 2025, seeing that most sites update ratings on a 30-120 day cycles...that means they fell as soon as 03/31/2025...that was very sobering! I then learned that the insurance had 8 visit bills on file, I had only seen the practice 4 times & 2 of them they did tests...even if they billed the tests separately then 4+2=6 not 8!?! So I also had a lot of obnoxious comments about my health issues due to family & racial genetics from the PA & receptionists; but am kinda used to that. I also found out that the office on Fry Rd & Dobson NEVER HAS ANY REAL DOCTORS even visit let alone check up on the 2 PA's that work there! Ms. Zimmerman and her colleague were completely on their own and never reported to the Dr. Welmer that was lusted on my card! Then I also found out by my insurance that the office was NOT billing for PA visits but for actual appointments with Dr. Welmer. The insurance took a recorded statement of the whole situation & wanted to know where the medication was called into & other situations. I explained that in April they tried to insist I never had seen the practice and no doctor ever prescribed anything for me. At that point when I needed to retain my records I told them if they couldn't find them then I was going to be filing complaints with my insurance for fraud & if it went to the state department & licensing department then it was not going to be my fault and they needed to find the records. Then they called me a week later & got me the appointment on 05/07/2025. It all seemed to be fine & they said they found my records and I told them that I am glad because I had given them a few weeks to see & was so glad they saved me from filing a complaint. But then 16 days later totally changed their story! It was obvious that it was retaliation & discrimination.

I can attest that the quality of care provided here is nothing short of outstanding. Every interaction has been positive. The clinical staff, including all the Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs), deliver consistently excellent care. Dr. Fischbeck, in my experience, is magical; he has a remarkable ability to correctly and swiftly diagnose significant medical issues, and his judgment regarding necessary specialist referrals is always spot-on and deeply appreciated. Beyond the medical expertise, the operations run flawlessly. The office staff is super nice and helpful on the phone and in person. I have never had an issue getting a same-day appointment when urgency called for it, and the added convenience of an on-site blood lab is incredibly helpful. I have the utmost confidence in this practice. I feel I am always in the best possible hands at Kachina Family, and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking exceptional primary care.
