Dr. Brock is so easy going and doesn't rush; in fact, all the questions I had about the Nova Sure procedure, HE ANSWERED! Legit, of all the side research I did in a weeks time and discussing my options with my husband, He answered them all. Questions: which method do you use out of popularity/ preference/ success rate? Will a D&C be required? Will a endrimitral biopsy be required? Will medication be prescribed to soften the cervix? Bowl prep necessary? What if there are fibroids? Is tubical ligation necessary? What can I expect with post-surgery aftercare? Will I need a driver to and from the surgery, will they have to sit in the car? What type of gas is used in the procedure? Will I be able to go work out after surgery? Will I need amoxicillin or antibiotics after surgery? The biopsy had its moments, from watching others YouTube stories, it scared me. I've never had it done nor have I ever given birth, I'm 32. When they open the cervix, there's pressure but it subsides in 5 seconds. Then there's some soap stuff he applies, doesn't hurt. When he went in goes to get the tissue for sampling to see if it's cancerous, just remember to breath, I think I said one curse word lol. But he did it carefully and gracefully and QUICKLY! I bet the beginning and ending of the biopsy was MAYBE 3 mins. Had some cramping for 30 mins afterwards. But now I'm fine. Didn't have to take anything for pain. Mainly because I didn't have any or a pad. But they had female sanitary pads. I also showed him some medications I had in hand for pain if I could use those instead of buying more meds and brought in some amoxicillin as well. Dr. Jackson was all for "using what you have" instead of loading me up on more stuff or picking up prescriptions after surgery. I appreciate that about a doctor too. I can't praise this office enough for the organization from the time I walk in the door to the time I leave.

Between the initial office visit and one set of labs, I've already spent over $1,000. I was told the labs would "usually come back fairly reasonable" through insurance, but $725 is far from reasonable. I was also told there was a cash-pay option of $900, which is equally concerning. I'm not sure what standard of "reasonable" this clinic is using, because these costs feel excessive and out of reach for many people. It gave me the impression that this practice may only be accessible to those for whom cost isn't a concern. Additionally, my experience during the in-office lab draw was concerning. The staff member who attempted it seemed very inexperienced, she removed the tourniquet before even attempting to insert the needle and then tried to reposition the needle after insertion. Another staff member had to step in and was able to draw the labs immediately without any issues, which was frustrating given that I've been told I have easy veins. On top of that, I would have had to pay another $219 out of pocket for a follow-up lab review that was supposed to happen within 7-10 days, but the earliest available appointment was a month out. At that point, I decided to cancel and take it as a sign. I would not return and cannot recommend this clinic. I would hate for someone else to end up in the same position, especially when you're already not feeling well and just trying to find answers, only to be left with an unexpected financial burden on top of it.

This review is a running commentary of my initial visit today (6/13/2016). I arrived 20 minutes…read moreearly for my 3pm appointment with Dr Rogers, so I could fill out the required new patient paperwork. It is presently 3:45pm and I am still grumpily ensconced in the small waiting area for my appointment. So far, the only positive thing is the receptionist; she is very friendly and positive with everyone I have seen pass through the office (about 5 people so far). At 3:49pm, my name is called and I walk with the medical assistant into an exam room. Ruth, the med assistant, takes my vitals and leaves, telling me the doctor will be with me shortly. A couple minutes later, Dr Rogers walks in. Honestly, I'm a little unimpressed because he does not look like he's in great shape....and yet he's supposed to be telling his patients how to be healthy. He's a nice enough guy and was receptive to my questions, but didn't offer any enlightening responses. My reasons for visiting included getting a pulmonary breath test to check for (exercise induced) asthma and to see if I may have food allergies that may be contributing to bloating. Dr Rogers sent me to another room for the breath test -- the assistant in this room was not very pleasant and I had to wonder if she enjoyed her job at all -- then Ruth the 1st med assistant drew some blood (icky). I left the office at 4:30pm. I spent way more time waiting and doing paperwork than speaking with any one person. I like the location of the clinic because it is close to home, but one staff person could be a bit more "professionally pleasant" and appointments could be spaced out more so that patients aren't waiting for almost an hour. In the business world, being almost an hour late for a meeting is unacceptable. Why do we tolerate lateness when at the doctor's office?

They also do not care about patients who have something rare. They won't even Google to see updates for adverse reactions to medications. After a 21% unexplained weight loss, bringing new down to 110 at this point, Snider says, "there's definitely something wrong but I don't know who to send you to". WHAT?? How about doing some blood work?? HE DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! WHAT AM I PAYING FOR?? Was told I'd be issued a refund but still waiting on "Mylyssa". Reported to my insurance that this place is a scam.
