Being that it is connected to my other doctors, they are able to see my other ailments that I am dealing with and asked questions as well. Beyond upset. Urgent care said instead of "guessing" antibiotic I should go to the ER and she would call ahead. And get us medical transport for faster service. Arrive and they don't give 2 shits that there was a call ahead. It means absolutely nothing, FYI. If you don't want to be in a line of 50 people, get the meds you can get at the urgent care. I went yesterday with a loved one who was a patient. All the staff was nice and really heard the patients needs and concerns. Nurse Jennifer went above and beyond she was nice the few hours we were there! Really showed she cared. The other support staff wasn't as friendly. One of them even said "I usually don't do this, I'm the x-ray tech" it was obvious they were upset they were helping in another area. Overall it was a great experience and we liked the convenience of the location. I'll have to check my insurance to see if I can be seen there as needed in the future. read more

A coworker had a pretty bad crush injury and when we arrived, they immediately got us back without getting all signatures as it was her finger on the dominant hand. I've been to this location twice in the past month--first for COVID and this morning for a fractured elbow and sprained wrist. Both times, everyone was stellar, from the receptionist, to the nursing assistant, the x-ray tech, and the doctor--who took the necessary time with me to review x-rays, explain the injury, and explain follow-up care. I was born in this hospital, before the Dignity merger and when the logo was a red cross in 1995. I come here every so often (not a lot, because thankfully I don't have that many emergencies). The three stars simply are a rating of my most recent (June 2025) visit. The way that I was treated by Doctor Heather Crismon was vile. Mind you, I am and was sober at the time. But after opening up for the sake of honesty about my past with substance abuse and addiction, she treated me like a complete moron and made it obvious that she was treating me and everything that I said as if I were the biggest idiot because of my past mistakes and history. The entire reason that I came in was to get antibiotics for an inflamed/infected cyst. Yet, it turned into an entire lecture on how I should have never used drugs. I think part of it has to do with what I call the "Ahwatukee Bubble of Ignorance." Most of the population doesn't have a clue as to how the real world works. She probably thinks that drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes is a "safer" alternative to cannabis, too. To get personal, I am a college graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Communication Minor. I am nowhere near a genius, but I am no dummy. And I graduated from college all while smoking the occasional cannabis and now and then drugs. I am currently a Registered Behavior Technician for children with autism who still partakes in the occasional cannabis indulgence (I would in no way consider myself "addicted" to cannabis). Of course, when I asked, she said she had never done drugs before - aside from caffeine, LOL. Regardless, I was and remain completely disgusted by Doctor Crismon. Was seen as a follow up to a URI i was diagnosed with but was feeling worse so I wanted to see if it could be something else. Doctor looked me over and talked to me for less than 5 minutes and said to just continue as I was with no additional questions or tests. Ignored my lingering and worsening symptoms I notes. Went to my normal doc today and was actually diagnosed with pneumonia. Real neat. My husband was seen with me and had same level of care and questions. Didn't even tell him what he diagnosed him with but sent him prescriptions for it. No additional testing or anything, had to look at the paperwork to see what he "has." On 5/11, I went to this location hoping to get strep tested as I was experiencing horrible throat pain and congestion. The doctor was in my room for all of 5 minutes, scolded my husband for not wearing a mask, barely looked at me, told me "being a mom you're going to get what your kids bring home" and told me to push fluids and I needed antibiotics. On the aftercare paperwork it stated the diagnosis was bronchitis - yet he didn't listen to my lungs, say this out loud to me, nor was I experiencing any issues with breathing. After two days, the side effects of the antibiotic that was prescribed were too severe to continue taking it and I also seemed to be getting worse. Ended up at a different urgent care entirely, diagnosed with a sinus infection after being tested for strep, flu and covid and actually being properly examined. Fast forward to now, I received a $240 bill in the mail today from dignity health and according to my insurance it's because they coded my visit as "outpatient hospital" and even the bill said the location I was seen was Chandler Regional. I didn't go to the hospital, if I wanted to go to the hospital to pay hospital prices, I would have. According to the agent I spoke with on the phone, because this urgent care location partners with chandler regional they bill accordingly. This is abusive and deceptive. I have asked for a coding review and plan to file as many grievances/appeals as necessary. Not only was the care I received subpar, but their billing practices clearly need to be audited. Not good. Went in for extremely high blood pressure, fearing a stroke or heart attack. My BP got up to 190/120 and I waited 5 hours to be seen. I was given a pill and told they would order medication from my pharmacy with which the nurse was familiar. I went home...no prescription ever called or sent to Melrose Pharmacy! That night I had excruciating pain in my left arm. Why would I go back to the ER??? I had an early dental appointment and as soon as my dentist heard of my arm pain, she put an aspirin in my mouth. She directed me back to the ER, but I knew they wouldn't help me! read more

This was the best experience I've ever had at an urgent care in my life. I did pre book an appointment day of, however it wasn't busy when I went Sunday afternoon. We were seen very quickly, Neely was so so kind and helpful as she was admitting my son and just absolutely fantastic with kids. We quickly went to our room and maybe 10 minutes later (maybe less) the doctor came in, he was kind, quick, and also great with kids. Paid my copay and was out the door in 30 minutes. The staff from check in to the nurses x ray tech and PA were all extremely kind, judgement free and wanted to made sure i was comfortable the whole time I was there. I had very little wait time. There is a reason this place is empty. It's horrible. Male doctor was rude, condescending and scolding me for coming there because they did not have equipment to tell what was wrong with my eye. If that was the case, why not just turn me away instead of wasting an hour of my life asking me questions and making me wait, shining a light into my eye and pushing on it to make the pain worse? Then billing my insurance! Scamsters! Then, you tell me you have no clue what is wrong! And finally you want me to sign a paper promising I'm going to Mercy Gilbert Hospital where you are affiliated? The scheduling department stated that I would be able to get an in office visit but they needed to check with dr office/ that's it an appointment!! Doctor office called and asked for my husband and I said he's not here, is this the call back for just scheduling an appointment- she said she didn't have a patient release form to speak to me ??? She doesn't have any forms at all it was to see if we could be able to do an in person appointment ?? We haven't filled out anything?? AVOID AVOID AVOID. This place is awful, will waste your time, and still not help you. They don't triage patients at all, so if you're really sick, they will still leave you sitting for hours. They don't give any indication they care at all about actually helping patients either. I literally told them I was there while drugged up so I could drive. 2 hours later, drugs wearing off, won't be able to get home, advised of this and that I was starting to feel really bad again. The nurses response, well no one is keeping you here. Rude much! And thanks so-called health professional for checking me when I said I was getting really sick, or maybe monitoring the situation, instead of putting me in a closed room and ignoring me. I brought my wife to the location late one night after she became temporarily non responsive. I initially was pleased with the care I received until I got the bill and noticed that I was charged for services that I clearly said I did not want. I told the doctor my wife did not need a full body MRI, Yet they did the full body MRI anyway. This was totally unnecessary and a waste of time and money. Be careful and make it clear what you want, and expect, because they will order tests and not tell you, and you have no recourse. read more

Seems like a lot of people have a lot to complain about when it comes to urgent care, but I'm going to get right to it. There's only one thing that matters when it comes to urgent care: Do I think they'd let me die in the waiting room. If not, then we're talking business. Urgent Care is never gonna be fast, because whatever idiot thing you did to end up in there, like shooting yourself with an arrow or being a filthy dirty sick hobo, there's somebody who walked in before you and did something even stupider, and the doctor has to deal with that, so just calm the hell down. Or not, maybe they're banging back there for all we know, but the point is, they'll help you as soon as they can. We came in because my wife had a swollen lip from an allergic reaction, and everyone was friendly and helpful. The doctor who saw us said something like "You just tell me if he hit you, and I'll hit him back." and it was funny because he was being cool about it, but also I bet he could have beat the crap out of me, so I've been working out since then. This place is super clean, and seems really modern. They basically just built it, so it better be, right? But yeah, it's in good shape. You could sleep on the floor here even though I'm sure it's already seen horrible, horrible things. read more

Thought I had a broken wrist, went to the Emergency Room at Arizona General Hospital - Ahwatukee which is at 4328 E Chandler Blvd. They took my insurance card and told me that they were not in my insurance network, and that I should go down the street to Dignity Health Ahwatukee Urgent Care at 4545 E Chandler Blvd. Drove to DHAUC, once in the lobby, I was greeted by intake. I handed her my insurance card and specifically asked "Are you my network provider?" She looked at my card and said "your fine" and proceeded with my intake. I never would have moved forward with this business if she would have actually read my card. Saw a triage nurse and physician. X-rays were taken, was told my my results were inconclusive, the X-ray tech was not in, and that the films would be reviewed later. Told to go to Walgreens and pick up a splint and to ice. Never heard back from anyone on my status, assumed it was not broken and was just a sprain. This was 9/7/2019. On 9/20 I received a statement from my insurance provider BC/BS of AZ informing me that this was an out-of network service and they would not cover. I was in shock! The billing statements started coming in, $823.00 for an x-ray, not even an ace bandage, and even worse ,not receiving a final diagnosis. On top of that I later receive a bill from Chandler Radiology Associates for $68.00 which was coded x-ray exam of wrist. $891.00 for an 11 page printout of how to take Advil, and use ice. The printout actually says "Reason for visit: Reason for visit diagnosis not documented." I called twice to their billing department to give me an adjusted bill. Was told by an "operator" that they do not adjust billing amounts. I asked to speak to a supervisor. Was told they do not adjust bills. I then said I want to contest this amount. She said that they would get in touch with me. The next communication was another past due notice that my account would be sent to collections. There are security cameras everywhere, they have video proof that I handed her my card and asked "Are you my network provider?" I sent my letter of contest and now my account is in collections. All due to my trusting the admissions clerk. I have learned my lesson, get it in writing before you walk through a door! TRUST NO ONE!! read more

I had a horrible experience with nurse. She treated me so badly. She was disrespectful, rude, very aggressive, and extremely opinionated. I felt violated after our conversation. I've never been treated in such a manner in my entire life. The experience left me very disturbed and upset. It started when she asked if I was vaccinated. As soon as I said no she rolled her eyes and rudely said, "not a another one". There must have been someone she saw right before me who must have answered the same. The way she said the comment showed her frustration with non-vaccinated citizens. She then proceeded to verbal attack me with her questioning as to why I wasn't vaccinated. She said, "If small pox was here you'd get vaccinated". I said no I wouldn't. She then asked me why would I not get vaccinated aggressively poking and harsh in her questioning. At this point I became upset, seeing that she was not going to stop this behavior, and said I did not want to go into it with you. She continued on and did not stop during my entire contact with her. Her personal opinion and viewpoint came across strong throughout the conversation. She made it very clear where she stood. I finally asked her was she the doctor to which she said "no". I told her I needed to see the doctor I was done with her personal opinion and viewpoint to non-vaccinated citizens. This still did not stop her. She kept on. She went far beyond the basic questions that are asked and made it personal injecting her personal opinion and viewpoint. And even when asked to stop she kept on. Most individuals can recognize when someone tells them to stop something they mean they no longer want to participate in whatever is taking place. Not her. She was persistent. I realize this is trying times for all involved but no one should be treated the way I was treated today. I'm writing this in hopes this never happens again to anyone trying to obtain quality treatment they're paying for and that they receive excellent customer service. I love this place! My friend recommended it to me, and boy was she right! The staff - from reception to the nurse to the doctor to the X-ray tech - were stellar. Wow! They care and they provide. I hurt my hand and was afraid it was broken. I could feel the concern and the benefit of these professionals as they helped me navigate my hand injury. They could not have taken better care of me. This place deserves for it to shut down until it's cleaned professionally. A professional needs to go to this place and get this emergency room up to standards. I was in excruciating pain all night and have no more tears left. The emergency room nurse called me in and says rudely and sarcastically " please tell me what your life-threatening emergency is." Off the bat, I didn't feel safe here. The nurse proceeded to put in an IV and decides to throw the needle across the room into the trashcan. You see the needle hit the floor and my blood splatter on the floor. He did not clean it up. The restroom is extremely disgusting. A pan was left in there from a patient. Worst of all, after my ultrasound they tell me absolutely nothing is wrong and they can't see anything. So I decided to deal with the pain because they tried giving me tramadol without even knowing what was wrong with me. Sure hand out narcotics.‍ Fast forward the next day I have to travel to Los Angeles. I end up in the emergency room again because I was so dizzy I couldn't walk. At Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles they found two cysts on my ovary. One had a burst and one was still there. I had a liquid on all of the left side of my body. How do you completely missed that and an ultrasound? I was in so much pain and these doctors gonna do anything for me. Please DO NOT COME HERE!!! read more

Additionally I got a bill for over 500 dollar with absolutely with no itemized break down of the services provided (and i have insurance), so you know they are packing the bill with additional charges. With my soar throat persisting, I went to the Banner urgent care down the street and had a wonderful experience for a lot less money. Staff and doctor was more professional and I felt like the banner people actually cared. The doctor at Banner wrote me a script for meds that actually helped, where as the Dignity "doc" did not prescribe me anything... Worst experience please go somewhere else. My friend dislocated his elbow. We had to sign paper work for 30mins before doctor saw him. They diagnosed with a broken elbow. Had to transport to ER. Can't say enough good about Urgent Care Ahwatukee. Everyone I came in contact with was wonderful I was there for over 4 hours I did come in contact with several people. The front desk guy was so pleasant and caring to start with. Daniel the nurse extremely nice and caring. The X-ray Doctor, Dr Shah was awesome as well. She answered my questions and recognize my condition and responded accordingly. Then Dr Sepulveda was so caring, explained everything so well answered all my questions. There was another nurse who helped but I didn't get her name. Bottom line if you need Urgent Care this is the place to go. As sad as it may be for urgent care your primary won't be an option moving forward places like this facility will be your only solution to address your illness. read more
