She also claimed the house as her residence so she could send her daughter to Wallkill School District, and not Newburgh. Turns out she had no authority to rent the property in the first place. Called Hudson Valley Home Connections and they said that it was not their problem and that she was fired from her last job. She knew her worker committed multiple counts of fraud and saw it as "not her problem". When I left an initial review they called the Town of Newburgh Police to have it taken down. Needless to say, stay away!

Now, don't get me wrong, Melissa has her seller's best interest at heart and at the forefront but that understood, she is a very caring, patient, helpful and real person to deal with. I had a situation that was very frustrating at times and part of what even calmed me down enough to see the deal through was this very helpful and kind woman. She's even gone as far as to leave us a welcome card after the deal was done and we'd begun to move in. It's the little things and the after thought that counts. Cannot possibly say enough great things about Sue and Eva. They are amazing in every single way…read more We put bids on 3 houses with them. The first house they talked us into offering less than asking as it was over market price. They showed us comp sheets of other properties and convinced us that for the price they were asking, we could find something way better (they were right). The owners did not accept our offer but ended up selling it later for much less than they had asked. This speaks volumes to their integrity, as other agents might have convinced us to overpay for a house. The second house, we put a bid that was accepted. The house ended up turning up tons of problems, including failing multiple inspections, the tenants of the house (renters) refusing to leave and them actually compromising a few of the inspections (turned off our radon tests, put tarps on the roof which hurt our insurance inspection). Sue was there at each one of these inspections, answered every question and call we had and helped us locate local inspectors and contractors to get quotes. Ultimately, we pulled out of the deal. Finally, our third house, "our" house was found. We asked to see it the day it listed and Sue and Eva ran to get us a showing hours later. We put in the bid immediately. It was exactly the house we wanted- a small house on a huge lot that needs some attention and TLC. Sue helped us address the sellers in a personal way, which they told us was the reason they sold it to us. We closed this week and couldnt be any happier in our new home. We looked at about 30 properties. They never rushed or pressured us, ever. They listened to what we were asking for and showed us many houses that fit those needs. We loved that Eva showed us most of the houses as her energy is contagious, making it exciting and fun; while Sue walked us through all of the more painful process like the mortgage and applications. As a first time home owner, Sue was incredibly responsive and helpful and got a lot of the movement toward closing done (we closed right before Christmas!) Both are extremely knowledgeable of the area. I wouldn't ever go with any other team. If we ever sell this house or buy another, I wouldn't dream of using anyone but them.
