In summary I highly recommend the experience but there are a few things that could be improved for first time guests. To start, the website wasn't clear that when making reservations and paying that the price is for the show only and that when attending the show every guest must at minimum purchase one entree. Not a problem, but clarifying this at booking would be helpful. Upon completing our reservation I did get an email confirmation but was not provided any details on how everything works. I booked the 8pm show but wasn't sure if we should get there for 8pm or get there earlier because the show started at 8pm. Unsure we decided to arrive just before 7pm and take advantage of the happy hour that ended at 7pm and grab a drink. Upon arrival we were greeted by valet. My husband planned to do valet parking so not an issue, but it was not clear if we had the option to park ourselves. After we left the car we just started walking to where we believed the entrance was. No direction was given by valet to point us in the right direction and no one was outside to let us know. The outside Bora Bora bar was bustling with happy hour folks, but knowing there was also a bar inside we opted to go in to get out of the heat. Upon walking in it was very dark, no hostess at the podium and we quickly realized we had walked into the middle of the 5pm show and quickly exited the building and went back to the outdoor bar. We ordered a drink and mentioned how we are attending the 8pm show and asked how everything typically works. This is where I got the lowdown. Plan to arrive at your scheduled time (in our case 8pm), that's when seating starts. Once seated you'll place your dinner order, with any drinks and appetizers you may want. The show will start roughly an hour and 15 mins after seating starts (9:15pm in our case) and the show runs about 45 mins., so we were done by 10pm. The show itself was amazing! It was educational as well as entertaining. Highly recommend! The food was okay, and in my opinion you're definitely going for the show, not the food. It was served hot but just wasn't anything special. Overall if you haven't been, I'd say it is definitely worth going and experiencing once. It also seems like a great happy hour option for locals.

I recently caught the Aloha Islanders at their Tropical Holiday Spectacular during the Sunday at the Waterfront event in West Palm Beach. They are the most popular act of the year with performances spanning three hours. The show began with singers and dancers of all ages from their school. There was a lot of audience participation as they brought different people up and taught them dances. They also had a conch blowing contest. The last hour of the evening was the professionals showcasing dances from the South Pacific islands of Tahiti, Hawaii, New Zealand, and Samoa with costume changes. The grand finale was three fire knife warriors. They were thrilling as they twirled and threw flaming batons high in the air. I saw them get singed a few times. They were on fire, literally! The Aloha Islanders put on an amazing show and I'm so lucky that I got to experience it for free. They are available for booking on their website for corporate and private events. They is the perfect act for anyone wanting to stage a luau. Mele kalikimaka!
