For the Yelp event, participants got a custom made shirt. I was so pleased with the process and the shirt (with French cuffs and my initials) that I wanted The Doctor to experience it as well. Located on the 3rd floor on Oak Street, you enter from the street straight to an elevator, which opens directly to the showroom. It is dimly lit but in a good way, with spot lights on the suits and ties. Enzo has a large selection of swatches of colors and different types of fabrics. What I didn't see during my initial visit was all of the beautiful custom buttons! Man oh man, so many to choose from and so many colors as well. Let just say that working with Mason is an absolute blast! When I made the initial appointment, I asked if it would be ok if I brought some bubbles for us to drink as I knew we would be there for a bit and Mason said absolutely and even provided glasses for us. Mason is so professional and very focus on details. I love the fact that he makes recommendations, but also listens to what the client wants. He was patience in the process and at no point did we feel rushed. While drinking bubbles, me and The Queen got to assist in the process of selecting colors, fabric and buttons...so much fun! We ended up settling on a lovely pastel pink fabric for one shirt and a blue one with a delicate pattern on it. Both are going to look great on The Doctor and I already have plans for the pink one for date night...both of us in pink and it will be glorious! This is definitely going to be a place that gets repeat business from us as The Doctor is now thinking of having some suits made as well as slacks. And The Queen and I are planning a visit in the Fall as that is when they will have patterns specific to women's shapes. Not satisfied, I came across Frank's and don't plan on going anywhere else. You can tell that the place is special the moment you step foot in the door and are greeted. Further, Frank and team take the time to talk you through the process. He leverages his experience and gives you recommendations based on your input. Bonus: brief history lesson (~40 years in the same sloop block). Double bonus: flat-fell seam alterations (identical to your original seams). I left feeling like a million bucks ... but only spent $230 on 7 shirts (darts + sides) and 2 pants (taper).

The only receipt I was given was a stub that just says $170 and the items that were supposed to be repaired. They need better receipts at the minimum. Paul Chang took the time to explain to me what he had to do and to make sure I knew that it was a complicated process. I trusted his expertise and he told me he would have them completed within my timeframe. I picked them up today and they were completed perfectly. The shop is located on the mezzanine level near the CTA station on Clark & Lake (the Loop). As I opened the door, Oscar came up to the front and greeted me, asked me to try the dress and was completely honest with me that the dress was not an easy alteration and it would be very costly to do. I appreciate that. There's many places that would just do it and charge bigtime! Not here... Oscar said he won't risk his reputation and will be honest with everyone. He also said he isn't sure he could get it to me in time either and suggested I save myself the headache and expense, to perhaps find a different dress for my Holiday Party. One thing is for sure: Oscar wants to do honest work! I'll be back when I need a good tailor.

The number of custom lining choices is extensive, with interesting patterns for all style preferences. The not-so-good: Out of all the groomsmen in our party, 2/9 had suits that fit the first time. The other 7 had to go back 2,3,4, and even 5 times, one being the day of the wedding. For that instance, he had to consult outside tailors on a rush basis and had to expense it back to Revolution. I personally had to go to their office a total of 4 times over 3 months before my suit was reasonable enough, with my last fitting taking place 2 days before the wedding. Additionally, my liner was incorrect on my first re-fitting, and we even had a groomsman who's jacket was showing seams in the shoulder hours after first wearing it. The business owners are nice enough, but the level of professionalism and accuracy leaves much to be desired. It's unfortunate that the whole experience was so poor and that the suits seem to be cheaply made, because the designs and potential are there.
