It ended up not working out with the other company with only 5 weeks left until my wedding day. I came into this Men's Wearhouse to see what kind of options were possible...Do I rent a tux with my groomsmen? or do I still have time to go custom and fitted? This Men's Wearhouse went above and beyond to make sure I got a tux that was custom made and perfectly tailored in record time. I remember getting fitted for the first time...Rob (manager) came from across the store to make sure I was getting measured correctly and took it upon himself to be my main point of contact. If you are getting married and need a tux...This is your spot. Ask for Rob right away and the rest of the team will jump in to make sure your feel like a truly valued customer. I will be coming back to this location for anything I ever need in the future. If I could give a 0 I would. Buyer beware! We went in and purchased a suit and were told they would waive the alteration cost. Hush, hush he said. Supposedly the alterations would have been only $50 but he said he would waive it. HE also said he would give us $20 which he did not give. We spent close to $500 on the suit and left it there to be altered. 2 days later they call us and say we owe $148 for alterations and the tailor would not do them until we paid. We explained what the salesperson said and they would do nothing about it. Basically. Too bad. Either pay or take the suit unaltered. Extremely deceptive business practice. They flat out lied to us and could care less about what it when we tried to ask them to honor it. NEVER would I go there again. read more

Store is filthy, fitting room floor littered with needles, Inattentive, indifferent staff, complete failure in customer service. Salesman sold me suit, had it tailored, came in to try on while he remained on his cell phone talking to a buddy. Asked available person for suit to be steamed to remove wrinkles and was met with an attitude of annoyance. Asked manager to use men's room and was met with "it's closed, go to Noodles down the street and use theirs". I voiced my displeasure and manager stated "it's not the Company it used to be!" This location is just okay, probably actually below okay at this point. The BEST person to see here was Rohan, who no longer works at this location and is now up at the North Michigan Avenue location about another 10 minute drive away. If you can get to the Michigan Ave location and work with Rohan, then avoid the South Loop one as no one else there really seems that into the place or into helping people. I've had more than one occasion of needing help there but the employees were mostly congregating around a register or the door to chat, not to help. If you need to go to a Men's Wearhouse downtown or near downtown and need parking, this one's probably a better bet than Michigan Ave, but in all other circumstances try to go to the other one. read more

We went here to look for my Fiances suit for our wedding. We knew what color and style we were looking for. We also were looking for groomsmen attire to match accordingly. Upon walking in, we were greeted however there seemed to be two salesmen who were trying to both talk with us on the styles. It was clear though that one of them knew a bit more and was listening much more to us on what were were looking for. The other was much more pushy and trying to up-sell as much as possible. Overall we ended up not finding anything here, the one salesmen who kept trying to up-sell was too pushy and just wasn't following the direction we were going into. The one who was friendly and helpful unfortunately was getting pushed aside by the other salesmen. This place has some good deals but their customer service needs some work. read more

This store was a life time great experience for my son and I. How do I start this review with so many nice things to say from the moment we walked in the door. My son had know idea of what colors that would make him stand out. But it wasn't long before we was introduced into Mr.Carl. Wonderful person I must say. He was on point with every thing all I could do as a mother of a great son that will be graduation from 8th grade was cry. Of course I had to just set back and relax and see my little man turn from a boy to a man in just the blink of my eyes. That is the great thing about this place They know how to make men look good. I had some serious problems with a big order in this store (including mistakes with the wrong order being inputted, custom suits arriving late, etc.). And the store manager did not respond to my concerns. But Men's Wearhouse ended up following up later--and their customer service team went above and beyond. They patiently listened to what had happened--tracked down some missing items, and entirely made it right. I didn't think I would shop at Men's Wearhouse again, but the customer service team convinced me otherwise. Any business can make a mistake (or several). A new store occupied by the Men's Wearhouse group. I've been frequenting more often due to the uptick in friends tying the knot. I've been in for a rental and a custom suit on two occasions. There might be validated parking but I resorted to the meters in front of the store. Usually no problem getting a spot. Hard to estimate how long you'll actually be in the store. They have helpful associates, some of which are very new, and a couple others there are there to get the new location up and running. They have a ton of formal threads in stock in addition to casual attire. Never seems to fail that rental suits don't fit quite right. They are actually pretty horrible fitting to begin with (e.g. very wide pant legs). I had to come in, try on the suit, and ultimately get a size adjustment to come pick up later. The original measurements were right but whatever they shipped to the store was very far off. If they could just get it right the first time I would be impressed. The custom suit was tailored to my needs. If it's not in stock, they order, and you come in for a fitting. Measurements taken, they tailor the garments in-house, and you arrive for pick-up. I have to say the price for the tailoring was pretty decent at $47 to alter the pants and jacket. Not bad. When I picked up post-alterations it was fine but the waist was a bit snug even after letting it out and the legs were too long. I brought them back in and they made adjustments free of charge. This location is pretty nice and a good location if you live near the Loop. A Nordstrom Rack just opened up next door too. A recent merger with Jos. A. Bank should result in weekly sales with the ever-so-temping buy 1 suit get the whole store free deal. read more

Called the day I needed to return a rental and asked if I could return it the next day due to the marathon blocking off all the streets to get to the store and the manager was rude and told us that they did not care. Then proceeded to tell me that there was going to be a late fee for every day we did not return it. If there's a major event blocking access to your store try and be a little more understanding. I've had good experiences in the store before but talking to management I will not be coming back. read more

I'm so tired of having delivery issues every time I order something from MW. Sat at home waiting for FedEx 2 days straight and no one wants to explain to me why my package has been sitting on a truck for 3 days. So I definitely won't have my outfit for my friend's bachelor party this weekend... guess I'll just have to buy something from somewhere else JUST MW couldn't even change the delivery so that I could pick my stuff up from the FedEx personally, so now all I can do its just hope it gets here eventually. Meanwhile, MW also cancelled the shorts from the outfit I ordered and said it was out of stock, but I went back online and there it was, my size and all, and I was able to put it right back into my cart for repurchase. However, the Perfect Reward points I spent on the item was never refunded.... This is my 2nd review on the Mens wearhouse franchise. The first was for the one in Oak Lawn on 95th. However, this location is the BEST!!!!! I took my 6yr old their for his suit because he was going to be in my sisters wedding after the horrible service I received at the one on 4954 95th in Oak Lawn. Rohan and Carl are great. They were patient with my son even encourage him when he was in his suit dancing in front of the mirrors. They made sure everything fitted perfectly on him and my 20yr old son. From my tux fitting to picking it up the staff were great! Especially picking up, I had lost track of time at work and had arrived at 8:53pm. They unfortunately close at 9pm and had already locked up and most of their computers were shut down for the day including the pick-up computer. Sam and Randy ended up being great and helped me out thankfully the front computer was still on and Randy enthusiastically let Sam know he could ring me up at the front if Sam got my rental. Sam promptly brought my rental and had me try it on while Randy pulled up my order info. After trying it on and checking out they had me out the door by 9:02pm. Thank you Randy and Sam! read more

It's really sad to see this company go down the tubes. Having worked with this company for many years, I can attest that the consumer experience has really deteriorated over time especially from when George Zimmer left. I will also say that at the end of the day, the experience is created by the staff that work here. Recently, I had called and spoke to one of the consultants over the phone requesting that I'd like to pick up several pairs of jeans (I was intending on spending at least a thousand bucks since I was shopping for some gifts to take overseas.) The consultant took the information and said he'd have everything ready by the time I came later that evening. Arrived at the store and of course no jeans were ready. Now I wouldn't expect this level of service had I never worked for MW but knowing they are on commission and thrive at the "personal" touch, I was expecting at least 4 to 6 pairs ready for me. Before the rep went to take out some jeans, I told him that I'd like him to check to see how many certificates I have. He was kind enough to try and pull them up but unfortunately none were coming up. He asked assistance from what I think was the manager of the store who also couldn't pull any info up. What happened next was enough to fire this manager on the spot if I was running the place. a. He provided inaccurate information. According to him, the certificates don't show up after 24 months of inactivity. Incorrect information Sir. They never expire. I have seen certificates that were over 3 years old show up and the certificates I was looking for are less than a year old. b. His way of talking to me. As he is giving me this information, he is walking away basically giving me the "you're not that important" attitude. Well Sir, you made your rep lose at least 18 division 20s that day and you costed MW a customer. To make matters worse, I wrote to MW requesting information on my certificates. This was about a month ago and till date nobody has ever responded. You're in the customer service industry. If you expect to survive the changes, you better straighten up your attitude else get ready to be buried alive with the competition. Guess what? YOU NEED THE CUSTOMER. THE CUSTOMER DOESN'T NEED YOU AS THERE ARE ENDLESS OPTIONS OUT THERE. read more

Speaking of the dude in the commercial, did they soak that guy's vocal cords in cheap whiskey and Pall Malls? That guy is a WHOLE fool. I go in to return my tux, and the man tells me I need to pay a late fee. Yeaaaaaa, that's not going to happen since I called ahead. The man asks me who took my call. Good question, but didn't think I needed to take notes for a professional courtesy given to me with advance notice. I explain this all to him He stands there as if he is expecting me to pay this late fee. Little does he know I am a G, and I aint going for all that BS. He tells me the late fee again, and I just flat out tell him I am not going to pay it. This that situation where you say "F you" and walk out. I am not that crass though. He accepts that I am not paying, and I haphazardly ask if we are all good. The guy says "we are not good, but you're good to go." My response..."I don't need to be good with you." He begins shouting expletives as I am walking out the door. This was so childish. I gave in, and walked back in and gave him a lesson on common decency....in a very not so decent way. I am too G, and this fool quickly knew he was in the presence of one. One final note: If you F with Men's Warehouse, outside of rental tuxedos your out of touch friends use for their weddings, you need to sit down and revaluate every facet of your life. Wow! I had such an easy-breezy experience here and I am excited to share how happy it made me to rent my fiance's tuxes for our wedding here. We are new to Chicago, but are familiar enough with the area, and since this store was open the latest, we decided it was our best bet to make an appointment at this location due to their later hours. Immediately, we were greeted by Rohan (I really hope that's how you spell it - sorry if it's not!). He recognized that he had an appointment and greeted us and got right to business and asked us both what we wanted (so as not to assume that my fiance wasn't really in charge - haha). This made me feel very comfortable and respected. Once I told him that I was actually going to be the final decision-maker, he asked me what I wanted to see and he knew EXACTLY what I was asking to see. You know how difficult it is when you're planning a wedding to describe something to someone and get exactly what you described? Next to impossible. I was so grateful to have someone working with us who knew exactly what we wanted. These types of processes can be overwhelming, but Rohan made us feel like we were on top of things and we had it together - it made me feel like wedding planning was a breeze. I'm not joking here - what I anticipated would be a difficult process was the easiest (and one of the most fun) aspect of wedding planning. We enjoyed our time and we also (this is important) greatly appreciated not being taken advantage of with our price point. Rohan didn't show us things that were outrageous and not possible for us. My point here is that the customer service was at the supreme level of paying attention and not making assumptions. We finally settled on some jeans and she informed us they were buy one get one free. The wash my honey liked wasn't in stock in his size, but Tonya offered to order it. So a week goes by and we pick up the pants. Holy floods! They were way too short. When we measured the inseam, sure enough they certainly weren't 30 x 30 and were mislabeled by the manufacturer. So Tonya offered to reorder them and send them to our home. We were skeptical as we were pretty sure this mislabeling thing wasn't a 1 time error. Sure enough. Tonya was pretty nice about it and we decided to order a 32 long and just take it to our tailor. FYI - 2 for 1 Buffalo jean's are probably that cheap for a reason lol read more

However, the people at men's Wearhouse on Canal made this process so quick and easy for me, that I actually for once enjoyed suit shopping. Tasha, specifically, was so great. I had a specific suit I needed to get for a wedding that I'm a groomsman in this summer. She pulled up the information immediately, had me fitted and out the door in no time. My fiance and I went to the location on Morse Road. When we went they had a few younger "kids" working that didn't seem to know exactly what they were suppose to do. That honestly should have been our first red flag but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. Well when we ordered my fiance's attire the lady who seemed like she was "in charge" and running the store told us that his attire and the rest of the groomsmen would be ready the Thursday before the wedding (today) as our wedding is Saturday. Well when my fiance went to pick up his attire for the wedding NOTHING was right. Not a single thing fit his pants came up above his ankles his jacket was WAY too long and his vest could only get 1 button fastened. Thankfully the talor there was able to fix the pants and jacket but the vest he was told would have to be re-ordered. The gentlemen then proceeds to tell my fiance that the vest won't be in until Sunday when we were told that it could be fixed next day when we had originally ordered his attire! The gentlemen that helped my fiance said that is not true and he wasn't sure why we were ever told that!! I hate being this type of person but I want everyone to make sure they are aware so this doesn't happen to anyone else and hopefully this location improves it's training and communication so this doesn't happen again. After he rung up a customer...he told me he could not help me because he was in the middle of helping someone else???? It didn't seem that way when he was ringing people up. Tonya (the store manager) came up to me and asked what I was shopping for; I told her that I am looking to get some dress pants / start my professional wardrobe collection. I gave her my budget, and she did her best to keep me at my said budget. Tonya and I worked together for about two hours. She never pressured me to buy anything; after seeing other negative reviews, I am very shocked because this was not my experience that I had. Tonya worked hard for the budget I gave her, and at the end, it only ended up being 15 dollars over what I had initially told her. I rented a tuxedo for an event. I was please by the initial visit (measuring) they were professional and quick which I like. Several days later my tuxedo was ready to be picked up, i was told to try it on. As I unpacked the tuxedo I noticed it very wrinkled, I was very surprised. I tried it on and told them to press it, they did press the jacket and the vest but not the shirt. The bow tie was beginning to fall apart and didn't look good, I had to ask for another one. Bottom line I will not use this location again, for the amount of money I would expect better. read more

My fiance and I came here to start the process of looking for wedding tuxes. We looked around a bit and then were hesitantly greeted by a salesperson that didn't look very happy to help us. We told him that we wanted to look at tux options for me. He asked me my size and since I was unsure I took a guess at what it might be. He gave me only two jacket options and they were a bit big. He then stated I thought you were a smaller size but you were so ADAMANT about the size you gave me. I thought that was a bit rude. If anything I said I hadn't worn a tux in a while and I was giving a guess with the size. After that awkward and completely non helpful experience we wandered over to rentals and were greeted by Rohan. This store should be run by this guy! He was professional, funny and helped us figure out all of our rental needs. He even worked it out so I would get a huge discount when I came in to purchase my tux. We had to come back to take care of the tuxes for my fiance's nephews (They don't let you add to your order online). We walked in and nobody greeted us. They looked at us and obviously deemed that we weren't going to purchase anything (I didn't know you had to come dressed in your finest attire to be offered customer service). We went to the rental section in the hopes of finding Rohan but he wasn't there. We stood there for about five minutes and then a salesperson stated that he would be right back to help us and went into a back room. Several minutes later another salesperson that was attending to a customer asked if we were being helped. We told him that someone headed to the back and said they would come out to assist us. Two other salespeople walked right by us and didn't ask if we were being helped or needed assistance. One salesperson went behind the rental desk within feet of us and wouldn't even make eye contact. We took a note of the time and gave the salesperson that had disappeared into the back room a few more minutes before we walked out. He came out of the back room as we were ready to walk away and didn't even acknowledge us. No offer to assist us or apology for the wait. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The only person who apparently works there that asked us if we were being helped before noticed we were leaving and asked if something was wrong. When we walked out we ran into the salesperson from our first visit (the salesperson that was completely unhelpful and rude) and stated how awful the customer service was. He seemed completely unbothered by our dissatisfaction and didn't make an attempt to help the situation. We walked into the store at 3:55 p.m. and left at 4:10 pm without being helped by one salesperson, and it wasn't like we were browsing and roaming the store. We stood in one location the entire time and that was in front of the rental department. We will be contacting Men's Wearhouse corporate office and you will lose the revenue from 7 tux rentals and 1 tux purchase. As well as any future business from us. read more

My Fiancé and I have had a wonderful experience at this men's warehouse. He needed his suit for our wedding and the groomsmen were purchasing suits for the wedding as well. We went in initially and set up the group order which was fast and easy. We just went back in today as worked with Lloyd, he was absolutely wonderful. My boyfriend needed a suit for his Moms funeral. We were not focused on the suit due to the reason for buying and we were short on time so we were in a bit of a hurry. Joe showed him some suit coats and pants. My boyfriend is rather rotund in his middle and without noticing Joe fitted him with a large enough suit to fit the shoulders but when we got home and after the funeral I realized the suit coat was a slim fit. I feel this is our fault for him not trying to button it while at the store. The pants were also a little on the short side after alterations. They could have been taken down 1/2 inch. Also, we bought the 3 dress shirts on sale for $99.50. While sitting out in the car waiting for the alterations of the pants I noticed the dress shirts were slim fit. I went back in the store to question Joe about this and he told me they will fit him. He said they have stretch in them. Joe saw the size of my boyfriend. If Joe was a good salesman he would have known slim fit he is not. When he tried them on at home he couldn't even button them. Had to wear an old white shirt. Monday when I took the shirts back to the store I asked the guy at the register if they only sell slim fit clothes. He said no. We have regular fit. They need to teach Joe how to fit the average husky guy and not just push a sale. No more Mens wearhouse for us. read more

I went here on Columbus day and it was busy. The staffs were friendly and helpful. So why four stars? Well, at first when I entered, I was greeted right away but was offered no helped. Maybe because I was younger and didn't look like a potential customer. But the gentleman who entered after me was greeted and helped right away. They took him directly to what he was looking for while I'm left wandering around the store. This bothered me but in the end, I was helped and I ended up with two suits, dress shirts, ties, and others. I would recommend this store due to the friendly staffs. read more

The Short: If you need anything tailored by a specific date, I highly suggest using another store. Im just glad I wasn't pressed for time. If I needed a suit or shirt tailored for a wedding, I would not recommend using this store. The Long: Bought 4 dress shirts on Sunday, 6/4/17. 2 had to be shipped, 2 were in stock. The 2 in stick were to be tailored. The pick up date was Thursday, 6/8/2017, by 5pm. I went to pick up the tailored shirts and get fitted to tailor the other 2 shirts that had arrived on Friday, 6/9/2017 (giving them an extra day). When I arrived, the shirts were not done, but the other 2 had arrived. They were apologetic enough and I was understanding (things happen). I was asked to come back Saturday, 6/10/2017, and the 2 shirts would be done by 7pm. I happen to be out shopping in the area so I check to see if they were done at 12pm. They were not and they reminded me they had said 7pm. I never recalled them stating a time to come back, but fair enough, maybe I missed it. I came back a little after 8pm. Shirts still were not done. They promised they could have them done Sunday, 6/11/2017. I felt my initial understanding was being taken advantage of at this point.
