My wife and I made our 1st Trip to Green Bay in August 2022 and what great trip it was. Started out with a songwriters concert at the Green Bay Botanical Garden, tour of Lambeau Field and a drive thru Door County. We stayed at the wonderful Astor House. Had a great breakfast each morning of our stay. Linda and Tom were very gracious hosts that made us feel right at home. Loved to get to know them and share stories from our lives as well. Can't wait for our next stay next summer.

This beautiful old historic home could have felt stuffy, but actually felt so welcoming with how Tom and Linda treat guests and make you feel welcome. The food was excellent and accented with home-grown herbs. The baked goods were outstanding. Good coffee and plenty of beverages were provided, for helping oneself. We appreciated the cleanliness of our room and comfort of the king bed, and slept very well, which sometimes we don't while traveling. We would return in a heartbeat! The yard, too, was beautifully kept. 5 stars!

Barbara made a Brocolli Egg Strata, Pumpkin Coffee Cake, & fresh fruit. Delicious!

I loved staying here! Stayed with my husband in the Marseilles Garden room on. Nov.30, 2012 - Dec.3, 2012. We came all the way from California to watch the Packers vs Vikings game on 12/2/12. The Astor House location was close to everything. Lambeau Field is about 7 minutes away, and all restaurants, shops, and breweries are just as close, if not closer. The Astor House B&B itself was perfect. We stayed in the garden room. The room had a whirlpool to fit 2. It was perfect to relax in after each day of activities. :) The room was romantic. Everything was very clean. There is a furnace in the room and the restroom, along with a fireplace, so you will never get cold. Fresh towels & toiletries are supplied each day. At night, you choose the items you would like to eat the following morning from Barbara's menu. Each breakfast was delicious, and very filling. There are 5 rooms in the house, yet we never heard other guests or saw other guests the whole weekend, and all rooms were occupied. The room was spacious, and relaxing. It felt like home. Barbara was very helpful when we asked for advice on restaurants and things to do. I will definately stay here again. This was our first B&B and it was PERFECT! Thank you Astor House!!! And of course I can't forget... GO PACK GO! :)

The owner Barbara is amazing. That is first and foremost. The house is quaint, comfortable, and a great piece of local history. We will definitely be back again. The location is perfect for Green Bay games, or a short trip up to Door County and the peninsula. Barbara has tons of local information and knows all the great spots to visit. I would pick Astor House over a hotel any day. Fair rates and all the B&B amenities you expect. I would likely stay towards the back of the house on our next visit. The London room sits over the front road which has the occasional loud truck or motorcycle driving by early in the am, but do note this is nothing that would deter me from another stay even in the London Room. Overall an excellent experience. * Easy off-street parking for every guest in back of house a plus * Prepared breakfast (you can have in-room) a plus. Try Barbara's coffee cake. She's proud of it for a reason. * Cable TV in room * Large whirlpool bathtub in-room is very romantic

Very nice place. Owners are great and the breakfasts are amazing. Highly recommend as opposed to staying at a hotel

This place has a Bed & Breakfast vibe. Breakfast was good, they'll make an omelette for you, but the breakfast hours are only 7-9am. It's weird they don't have someone working 24/7 like usual hotels. There's also no ice machine. You have to go to the bar and ask. The bar is nice. Lots of regulars so it's been busy. The place is right on the water and within walking distance to some restaurants and shopping. It's also smack dab in the middle of the farmer's market. It's a little 'old' but the vibes and character are cool. The stained glass windows in the restaurant are awesome. Restaurant was just OK. Both of our meals (my husband and I) were fine. We don't plan to eat there again. Thanks for a nice stay from us Nebraskans!

We…read morewere referred to Crystal Bell by a friend who said the B&B is charming and the owners are wonderful, even that didn't prepare us for the amazing experience we had at Crystal Bell. Donna and Mike renovated the entire house and put their personal touches in the most thoughtful ways. The place is meticulously cleaned, decorated, and organized. We were greeted with home made cookies and offered wide range of delicious drinks by Donna, followed by a tour of the house when Donna and Mike shared with us the history of the house, it immediately impressed my husband and I how much they love to host their guests and how much they love the place. They have VERY high standards for themselves on the experience they want their guests to have. They have everything you could ever need on a trip ready for you where/when you need it, Mike even offered me a leg pillow! The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy. The next morning, our breakfast was egg ham croissants, rhubarb shortcakes and grapefruits, all sorts of beverages options, and to top it off, each of us were given a piece of freshly baked pastry for our long drive back to Chicago. I use Yelp frequently but rarely wrote reviews. I feel compelled to write about Donna and Mike and their lovely B&B. Highly recommend this place for a home away from home, whether for a girlfriend weekend getaway, family reunions and other group functions, they truly embody MidWest warmth and hospitality!

My wife is disabled and travels with a small service dog who is always vested, carries an ID card, and is registered and certified; this was noted in our online booking. This was our first stay at any B&B of *any* size; in the past two years we've spent 36 nights at hotels both independent and branded. The room we stayed in, the Moose Room, is very well-equipped with exquisite attention to detail. The bed was pleasure to sleep in and had the most comfortable sheets we've ever encountered in a hotel room. A two-person Kohler whirlpool tub is in the main room. We were astounded at how quickly the tub filled and we were never short of hot water. The shower has a very inexpensive nozzle on it; a removable or rainfall style showerhead would be more befitting the quality of the rest of the room. I can say that Tausheck's is an extremely high quality facility with extreme attention to detail and very comfortable rooms. The Tausheck's should be commended for the quality of the B&B. Unfortunately, I can't say we will be back since we now know that this isn't the type of place for us given our unique situation, which probably doesn't apply to you. If you're a couple looking for a romantic getaway in the "greater Sheboygan" area, I'd highly recommend Tausheck's and think you'd have a great time there. --postscript-- My previous review (which I edited and have subsequently raised the rating to three stars) dealt with some exchanges with the innkeepers specific to accommodating my spouse's service dog. Given that this was the first time that the innkeepers dealt with a service dog in their 12 years of existence, they did accommodate us the best they could with the knowledge they had at the time. We learned after our stay that inns of this size are exempt from the Americans with Disabilities Act as there are 5 or fewer rooms - see 28 C.F.R. § 36.104. This wasn't known to us, or the innkeepers at the time of our stay, so it's unfair for me to dive into the specifics. That being said, I hope that the B&B's web site is revised to reflect this so that any other guests having a similar situation to ours are aware in advance and can make the appropriate decision.

We had all of the comforts of home: a fireplace, a fridge, a gigantic bed, a large en-suite bathroom, and a huge jacuzzi bathtub (big enough for the two of us to enjoy together!). Breakfast was served at our requested time and we enjoyed it both in our room an in the dining room with other guests, depending on the day. De Ann is an absolutely fantastic cook; her breakfasts aren't to be missed. While we didn't spend much time in it, there is a lovely back garden with a screened in gazebo, a bubbling fountain, and yard games for your enjoyment. The Roost is conveniently located close to Neenah, downtown Appleton, and about 30 minutes south of Green Bay. There's even a lovely house dog, Zada, who was very excited to greet us and give us all the kisses we could ask for. We will most certainly be back and are recommending Roost Bed & Breakfast to every single person we've met, both in Wisconsin and elsewhere. If you're thinking about visiting, please do--it is absolutely incredible and a 5 star experience!
