They showed me how our system worked, they took the time to explain everything from lighting the pilot light to bleeding the radiators. This was because the installers, Scott and Ethan, did an absolutely meticulous and exacting job. Our house is a 6400 sqft three story built in 1906. During the winter, the hvac system we had in place was never able to properly heat up the home. While driving one day, I spotted one of the Climate Masters' trucks with the motto, "we specialize in older homes" and wondered if they could fix our hvac setup. Tom came to assess and bid the job, and I must give thanks to how patient he was during the process. I took an excessive amount of time to decide, and yet Tom followed up throughout this period. Climate Masters ended up installing a large 140K BTU gas furnace, ran new black iron gas piping, and redid sections of our duct work. Part of the work involved cutting through a kitchen floor with brick veneer. Scott was able to shape the vent opening beautifully. The result was that for the first time ever, the house felt ... toasty during cold weather. When Spire came to activate the gas, servicemen on two separate occasions saw the installation and, without prompting, asked me which company did the job. When I asked why, they both said, "oh, it's because they did a great job!" Everyone I interacted with throughout the process has been wonderful: Scott and Ethan came promptly at 8 am each day and finished a huge job in 1.5 weeks; Doug was great with follow up logistics, and Jennifer always friendly and helpful with office paperwork.

I had them come out and give me a quote for a furnace and A/C on a very cold day and was happy they…read morecame out to install the next day. The tech guys got it up and running and I was happy to have heat again. The one problem I had, and still do, is when the furnace comes on it sounds like a train is in the next room. It's very loud. Later I heard a lot of noise in the furnace area and investigated and found a lot of plaster pieces on the floor and a large hole in the ceiling above the furnace. I called the Sales guy, Jim, and explained what I saw. He immediately started blaming me and said they were not responsible for anything. I regretted even calling him. I was not asking him to replace the ceiling, I just wanted someone to look at it. I then called the office and talked to the Receptionist who was so sweet and very nicely told me they would have someone come out and look at it, which they did. I was told there was a small hole, to begin with, and with all the work that was done, it probably messed with the hole. I would have liked it if they could have just covered it up with a piece of wood but it wasn't offered.

After over three months of operation, cooling and now heating, I give Galmiche's a good five stars…read more We'd had Galmiche's give us a bid several years ago and were impressed then, however we didn't have the funds and decided to wait and see. Well, this summer as we experienced our hottest heat wave, the nearly 40 year old system finally died. Galmiche's came back out, gave us a new bid and had a new system installed within four weeks of our old system dying. Over a month later the AC wasn't working again. Galmiche's came out, found a problem and fixed it, on warranty. A couple days later the AC stopped working again. The same technician came out, did a deeper dive and determined that a part hadn't been replaced that should have been as part of the complete install. The company warrantied the repair again, accepting responsibility. All in all, I've been very pleased with Galmiche's. Their price, their courteousness, their promptness, and their integrity. I recommend them, and will definitely consider them when our second system (we have a two system house) finally kicks it.

During the hottest temps so far this year (multiple days of heat index of 100 degrees), I noticed…read moremy AC was running but my indoor temperature was not dropping. Called Energy Stars to come take a look at it (we had purchased the unit from them 5 years earlier), and they said 'because of the high temperatures and multiple people calling in with problems, it would take a couple of days before a technician could show up. Two days later, Eric from Energy Stars arrived to check out my outside AC condenser. As soon as he started to diagnose the problem outside, a rainstorm moved in and it rained the entire time he was outside working on my problem. He explained the issue was a faulty 'high pressure switch' in the condenser. Since he didn't have one in the truck, he 'temporarily fixed' the issue until they could order the switch and get someone back out to swap it out. Long story short, the temp in my house has gone from high 80's back down to mid 70's. Energy Stars called back later that afternoon to confirm they had ordered the switch and set up an appointment to return to install it. The part was covered under warranty (a 10-year warranty), though we will have to pay labor charges. Thanks to Eric who was knowledgeable, polite, and quick to fix the issue.
