They are actively preventing me from cancelling my internet and phone plan. I'm currently in the process of filing a complaint on several websites including the FCC, FTC, and BBB. Will also mail a hard copy complaint and request to end service so I have a paper trail and can request a refund for refusing to cancel my plan while stealing my money. Save yourselves a headache and potentially getting scammed - don't use Spectrum!

So confusing, so slow, and so unprofessional. I would recommend going to the one in Florence or Cincinnati instead. I came to cancel my internet service. The worker I encountered had me leaving in tears due to being so rude and inconsiderate. He kept telling me all the things I "should've" done. -I should've checked my bill every month because it would've told me in advance about my bill increase of $25. I don't know about you, but when I have autopay set up, I don't check my bill every month. -I should've come in earlier so he could have given me some money back (well sorry dude, some people have to work). -I should've kept my service until the end of the billing cycle. Again, I thought Spectrum would prorate like any other decent company, but they are out for money, so that was my misunderstanding. This worker then tells me that it's "only" $75, it's not that big of a deal. This is what got me... I am a teacher, $75 is a big deal to me. Yeah I should have done a lot of things, one including NOT signing up for Spectrum. I will not be recommending this business to anyone.

When my husband died they were very kind and understanding when I couldn't find a piece of equipment. When I noticed my bill going up they brought it down which I appreciated. Their service is impeccable. I have lost service three times in over five years and for short periods of time. Working from home service without disruption is imperative. Whenever I call customer service they are friendly and helpful. I am actually looking to move and not that my internet service would keep me from buying but I would be disappointed if I couldn't have them as my internet provider. I did call and gave them the address of where I am considering and they are going to help me get Alta Fiber since it's a new build neighborhood.

Service was off and on all weekend. Couldn't get an answer from customer service. It was a major outage. It was my box. It was an act of god (kidding on that one). They were going to send a technician out on Monday but then cancelled the appointment when they told me it was a system wide thing. Then internet goes out again for a couple of hours. They say it's a major outage, but it wasn't. Came back on the middle of the night. Then Tuesday morning, while I'm working from home, it goes out again. Call them. They want to send another technician out but thankfully I've got reliable Spectrum coming out tomorrow to end this travesty. Don't switch. It's not worth. If you want to pay peanuts, then you'll get monkeys. We got monkeys and a whole lot of headaches.

I had been with DirecTV for 7 years and hated having to hassle with them every year to lower my…read morebill to a price I was willing to pay. It was the same thing every year, call them up and tell them that my bill was too high and then they would enact some discounts that would save me about $30 a month but were only good for a year. So the next year I'd have to call them up and do it all over again. Well last November when I called to complain about my bill they refused to lower the rate. I guess that now they're a part of AT&T they are unwilling to negotiate on price. So I decided to try switching to DISH. BIG MISTAKE!!!!! DISH suckers you in with their low initial rate but then once you add in extra packages to get what you want it ends up costing MUCH more. I believe their current introductory package starts off at $39. Sounds pretty good right? But wait, you want local channels? Well that's not included. You have to pay an extra $10 a month for that. Who the hell doesn't want local channels?!?! You want a DVR? That's extra also. You have 2 TV's? Yep there's an extra charge for that too. So my monthly bill ended up being $70 a month. That's quite a jump from $39 but still better than I was getting with DirecTV so I decided to go for it. The phone operator told me about the 2 year contract and I told him, "Hey wait a minute. I'm not signing up for 2 years when I haven't even tried your service out yet." I forget what he told me exactly but he definitely gave me the impression that I could cancel if I didn't like the service. When the DISH installer came out to set up my equipment I also asked him about a trial period and he told me I had 30 days to cancel. So everything was going OK until the day of the Super Bowl. We missed the end of the game so I tried to find highlights on ESPN only to find out the package I had did not include ESPN!!!! I called up DISH and was told, "If you want sports channels, that's an extra $10 a month." Gimme a break. What a scam! So now I'd have to pay $80 a month for pretty much basic cable. No pay channels like HBO. I just wanted the standard stuff like Food Network, HGTV, ESPN. So the next higher package was $84 a month and included ESPN but took away DIY and Cooking Channel!!!!! How frickin lame!!! So now I wasn't saving money over DirecTV anymore and decided to cancel the service. I had DISH send out the installer to remove their DISH and take their boxes back. To top it all off now they're trying to charge me a $500 early termination fee even though 2 people at their company told me their was a trial period!! I have filed a complaint with the Denver Better Business Buereau and I will be taking DISH to small claims court if they refuse the waive the fee. Stay far away from this company people. Their channel packages are completely predatory and set up so that the only way you can get the channels you want is to pay for the expensive plans.

I was quoted a certain price and offered a discount for auto pay. When I set up autopay, it offered another discount for using a debit card or bank account (or so I thought). I am a senior in OH and our ACP discount funding for internet and phone recently ran out. I was also offered a $200.00 virtual Mastercard for signing up. I just got my first bill and it was higher than I calculated. I called customer service which is a call center in the Phillipines. Very poor customer service as the first agent went to check for any promotions and the line disconnected. The second agent just kept repeating the same thing over and over and never tried to help me or keep me as a customer. I had researched the offers for their virtual cards and found many customers have trouble finding where to redeem the offer online. This agent was not familiar with the process and kept leaving the line to ask someone. I had tried to use the promotions site online and it would not process my info. I made this agent stay on the line to walk me thru. It took so long that the agent said he would call me back in an hour. I had already been on the phone for almost an hour, it was late, so I declined and ended the call. The same agent called back in five minutes with a code to use to process the promotion. I finally got it processed. BUT it states it would take up to TEN weeks to receive an email on how to use the virtual card. The agent agreed with me that this was not a good process and no way to treat a new customer. The dilemma here is I have only ten more days to disconnect service without penalty, but not sure if I will ever get that $200.00 virtual card which I understand can be used toward my bill. I also have to be a customer for a certain length of time to use it toward my bill. T-M, this is no way to treat your customers by making them go thru hoops and hurdles as you dangle discounts and promotions in front of their face. Be aware as you choose your next ISP or phone provider that all is not open or transparent as you are mumbled a lot of info by a person just trying to buy you in. You will later be told that you misunderstood and apologized to over and over by a customer service agent who you cannot understand.
