AT&T internet service (to be polite) stinks. They sent letters to us to us saying we had to upgrade to fiber or they would cancel us. So, on two separate occasions, we waited around for them to come and upgrade us and both times they got here and said they couldn't do it. Why? Because they didn't have fiber available in our area. So we called AT&T and they explained that we were on a hold list and would not be terminated. This was several weeks ago. This morning, without warning, we are without service because they terminated us. When we called and found this out we said we'll have to find a different service. They said "you do what's best for you." We aren't even sure we can be reinstated. Nice. No internet. read more

You will not get the speed you pay for. Experienced several outages and wifi would often only work intermittently. Stayed on the phone all the time with customer service which I think is from an overseas call center, always a foreigner. Service request are always slow with a 4 hour window for arrival. You pay cheap prices and that's what you get, and cheap product. read more

Got rid of that awful Spectrum today. I will gladly drop off the equipment and tell them where they can put it!!!. No more having to program 3 DVRS just to be able to see a recorded show where I want in my house. No more paying extra for wifi. No more having to reset that old tech stuff they use. Even the speed of the internet gave me a problem. Tech that did the install was on time. Cared about making sure everything thing was working and connected to WiFi before he left. ( Unlike the install with Spectrum) ONE DVR to program and if I am done in the bedroom, I can just pick up the dvred show in the kitchen where I left off. A remote that came with instructions unlike the one left by the other company. I have had UVerse for years in Michigan and so happy to be back as a customer. I just wonder why the apartment complex I live pushed Spectrum so much. Kick backs, friend sells it, or don't understand that ATT updated the lines so it comes out of the wall like cable. I don't stream shows, use on demand, or apps. Call me old fashion, I just want to see documentaries, news, and sports. Get to my email and info on the net. If I had the choice with Star Ratings I would give AT&T Internet and Streaming Services a minus 5 star rating. I tried AT&T internet and Direct Streaming and within 3 months the service was so awful that I decided to cancel service. Not only was their service unreliable and over priced but their Customer Service Departments are even worse. Representatives don't know how to handle calls and when they don't and customers ask for the calls to be escalated 9 out of 10 times the calls are not even sent to the correct department. The worst part of the experience with them is the fact that they have known for years that there is a compatibility issue with Samsung technology. Three different Representatives from the company confirmed the issue and that there was no resolution to it to this day. The company then wants to point blame at the customer for not escalating the call to the right person or department to help resolve the issue. I moved recently and they did not supply me with a new broadband cable. I haven't had WiFi for 2 weeks now and every time I call they talk over me when I'm trying to speak and all I need it 1 cable. They have sent me many packages with the wrong cable and random power cords. Also, every time I call they ask me for my address and each support member says that my current address isn't my new address so they can't even put my address in correctly. I have Spectrum at a higher price and worth every penny! I Was sold and convinced that having ATT service was best. So I signed up. Boy was I WRONG!!!! Got the installation completed and they left without doing a speed test. As soon as I completed said test, I realized that "what they sold, it's NOT the best". So I immediately cancelled and got stuck with bill on of $106 (for installation). Was advised would receive $100 Gift Card to offset the installation (which was never received). Thank God I kept my provider. Personally I'm better off paying more for higher speed 400 vs the 100 that they offer. I made the mistake of signing up for AT & T internet service. The sales person seem to try her best to understand English so I repeated, SEVERAL TIMES, that I was busy and only wanted the self-install internet so I could do it when it was convenient for me. I ALSO REPEATED MY PHONE NUMBER SEVERAL TIMES - until seemed to finally get it right. There did appear to be a very LOUD party going on in the bakground of wherever she was. It made listening to her more difficult and sometimes even impossible. After alot of time and effort, I got signed up for service....I walked out my house one day and saw AT &T at my neighbor's house. It turned out that they were looking for my house to come inside for an installation. I explained that my service was a self-install and that I was busy at that time. I also noticed that my phone number was wrong and gave them my correct phone number - AGAIN!... On the day of the solar eclipse, I took a short break to watch the eclipse from my front yard. AT &T salesman interrupted me to sell me AT&T. I explained that I was already signed up and had wanted to peacefully watch the eclipse. He finalky left, but returned two more times that day....I finally had time this past weekend to install the equipment. Directions said to scan the QR code on the equipment to install it. It wouldn't scan. I contacted AT & T for Tech Support. I gave my phone number associated with my account and explained that the QR code would not scan. I was informed that since the QR code wasn't working, I would have to return everything, but Tech Support would not guve me any information about when I wouls get the equipment replaced and hung up on me. I contacted Tech Support again. This time when I gave my phone number, I was told it was not in the system, so she asked for mt account number and found my service account. She said the system was down and there was an error on their part, but I would have to call their 800 number to fix it. I knew that my data had been breached between when I signed up and 4/14/24 when I was talking to Tech Support. So, I called the 800 number to talk with Tech Support there. After giving the apprpriate respobses to all the verification questions and explaining the problem, he told me to call tbe 800 number AGAIN and talk to the sales dept because they had done something wrong with the sale and my service order got canceled... I have spent way TOO MANY HOURS - and Days- on this. And, the first Tech Support person wanted me to drive an HOUR each way and wait in line at the post office to return equipment because AT&T screwed up my order somehow - apparently, related to not gettung my phine number right during the sales call. If this is how bad sales and support service is, I don't want to know how bad their internet service i! My data has already been breached, my time attempting to watch the eclipse - whuch I will never see again - disturbed, and many HOURS of my valuable time has been wasted. About two weeks ago our AT&T internet (and U-verse) started acting up/ I've had four technicians out. The first one did nothing more than move our gateway from the floor to a desk. Problem not solved. Tech 2 replaced the modem (at my suggestion he found a problem with our old modem). Worked for a couple days. Problem recurred and Tech 3 came out two days ago, followed yesterday by someone working on the outside line. Today? Internet and U-verse don't work). Typing this while on hold with AT&T yet again. I'd give no stars if it let me... I've tried AT&T Internet twice now, and both times the speed of the internet I was getting was misrepresented by the salesman, and the speeds I did get were inconsistent. First time was when I moved into my Condo 3 years ago, I was setting up utilities and automatically got transferred to AT&T when I said I wanted to set up internet. I figured I'd see what they had to say since I'd planned on keeping my cable internet. The gentleman on the phone said that AT&T had Fiber Optic internet lines layed in my community, and enhanced speeds were available. He quoted 18MBps download, yes MegaBytes, not Megabits.. I even asked to double check, is that big "B" as in Bytes? The gentleman answered yes, MegaBytes, and he had it himself, and he could do anything with his internet speeds.. Fast forward to installation, and the tech says it's Fiber to the node, then regular phone lines into the house.. I'm A+ and Net+ certified, so as soon as he said phone lines I knew there was no way it could be MB. The install confirmed my suspicions with a quick speedtest. 18Mbps down, 1.5Mbps up. That's AT&T Fiber three years ago. Fast forward again to Dec 2017, an AT&T salesman shows up at my front door, saying that AT&T was now hooking up direct Fiber lines to your house, and I could get 100Mbps down and up. I get 100 down with my current service, but only 12 up. I do video editing at home, and upload quite a bit, so getting 10 times my current upload with the prospect of within a year (according to the salesman) gigabit internet.. was too much to pass up. I even asked him if it was hooking the node to the house with a fiber line because I'd had this issue before, he said yes, it's a direct line to the house. Fast forward again to install, and the tech again goes.. It's fiber to the node, copper to the house *FACEPALM* then adds and I quote,"We don't guarantee our speeds" :-o ... He hooks it up, and my speedtests showed 20Mbps upload, and I never saw 100Mbps down. It varied between 40 and the highest I recorded was 80Mbps download, and that was hooked directly into the modem/router with an ethernet cable. 2 times AT&T has misrepresented their product to me, and stuck me with an install for a service I barely used. This last one they charged me $100 for install and $60 for a month of service when it was hooked up for less than a week. It's criminal.. I even tried to call their customer service and talk to them to see if we could work it out, and just got transferred between departments for 45 minutes before I finally ended up with a lady that could barely speak English (nothing against her, but she was very difficult to understand over the phone) and she had trouble understanding what I was trying to explain to her. I tried, then she kept asking me a question and I couldn't understand and she disconnected. That was that. I don't care if AT&T knocked on my door and offered me the best internet on the planet.. I will never buy, support, or use their products knowingly ever again. I've had WOW cable internet for 2 years now, and get consistent speeds. Usually above what the plan is for (100 down, 10 up), I usually get around 110 down and 12 up. AT&T would have been cheaper for the first year, but another thing the salesman failed to mention was that after the first year it doubled.. to more than I pay now. If I got the Fiber internet line to my home, and got the speeds advertised, I probably would have lived with it.. especially with the prospect of 500Mb and even Gb in the near future. They're crooks, don't give them your money or time. read more

They came out to upgrade the fiber in less than a day of scheduling the service but once it stopped working only a few hours later AT&T now says it will be days before someone can come out and fix it !! NO STARS: I was a customer of 18 months until recently, thanks to an installation service fiasco. To wit: the technician was a no-show. When I called in to customer service a few hours after the service window had expired, they were unable to determine the technician's status. Over the course of two hours, I spoke to four different representatives, all of whom told me the same thing: "We don't know." One of them offered to reschedule my service installation two weeks out. Since I work from home a lot, that wasn't feasible. While attempting to cancel my service, I went to my account portal to review my final bill and discovered that I was receiving a slower service than the one I had originally purchased, yet I was still being billed at the higher rate. AT&T has yet to complete the installation of the landline telephone. The explanation is the there is a problem with the the wiring but no one seems to know if it is inside or outside. I was promised to be charged a $100 fee if the wiring inside my home needs replaced. I fail to understand why I have to pay for new wiring if I am installing a new telephone service, that should be part of the package. The new 50/10 Uverse internet Service worked for nine hours but then went down. I have a service appointment to have it repaired or rigged to make it look like it is working. It appears this service will be as reliable as the 12/18 MBPS Uverse service. It boils down to if I have a signal AT&T is doing their due diligence. I had an absolutely terrible experience. After selecting the date and time for installation, which is already inconvenient due to the fact that they only offer 2 hour windows in the middle of the work week, I was randomly assigned a different day with very little attention given to this other than in 1 of the 4 emails I was sent immediately following the sign up. I took off work in the middle of the day to meet the tech, but only to discover after calling that they had automatically changed the time. I was asking for them to wave the $100 installation fee, but they would not. I spent over an hour dealing with them and repeating my story and all of my information multiple times. They said they would go ahead and send me the equipment so that I would not have to pay the installation fee or miss work to meet the installation tech. Only to realize they were attempting to trick me into paying the same monthly price for SLOWER INTERNET! I could only get the speed I wanted if a technician came out to do the install, but if I had not asked that question they would have just simply tricked me into it. This company is an absolute joke and I could not have had a worse experience! read more

Not sure why there are such poor reviews, I actually like U-verse One thing that people may not understand about U-verse, is it's not cable, it is IPTV, VoIP and DSL internet over VDSL (Very-fast Digital Subscriber Line), and as such, it has limitations over Cable (but also has improvements over Cable), and given how VDSL works, everybody will have a different experience VDSL is limited distance from the VRAD (Video Ready Access Device, similar to ADSL's DSLAM or Digital Subscriber Line Access Module), Fiber is ran to the VRAD, then delivered to the crossbox (the neighborhood phone connection box) via twisted pair phone cable (similar to what an Ethernet cable is made out of, just less twists per foot), you then have a dedicated pair (or pairs depending on how many lines) that runs to the NID or phone box on the back or side of your residence, it then uses either CAT3, or more typically CAT5 (AKA Ethernet cable) to an RJ11 phone jack (typical phone jack) which is then connected to your Residential Gateway/VDSL Modem (Coax can replace the phone cable, but phone cable is preferred) The reason why some people may be having bad service is because they are too far away from the VRAD, the longer your "loop length" the more your signal will degrade, meaning less signal the further you are, with less signal, you get less services, say maybe only 2 or 1 HD channels at a time IF YOU HAVE LIMITED SERVICE, TRY TO REQUEST PAIR BONDING, pair bonding uses two pairs (4 wires) instead of just one pair (2 wires), this should increase your signal, and possibly give you more HD channels Personally, when compared to TWC, I find U-verse to be leaps and bounds better, being a former TWC customer, I had a horrible experience with their DVR, Cable modems and overall service, not to mention I have a huge distrust for TWC's installers (both in house and contractors) Now like I said, U-verse does have limitations compared to Cable, and I have issues with my connection time by time as well, but the channels and features I get out of it way outweigh the limitations I have I believe that most complaints for U-verse stems from the inexperience and lack of knowledge of how VDSL and IPTV works, and people expect it to work like Cable, thinking it is Cable That said, WOW! does give at&t a run for it's money, so for those who can't stand U-verse, WOW! may be a viable option read more

What a bummer. We had to bundle with them for phone and Internet when we had directtv. Now we moved and can't get directtv so we got their whole u verse thing. We got a crazy cheap promotion for the year and are paying half the price so I'm loving that. Also paying for the second highest internet speed they have as I work from home. It's either the service or something with the equipment, but this is the worst internet I have ever had. It's like living out in the country again with how slow and unreliable this can be. And the installation...I'm leaving s picture of what the guy did. Not happy at all. Update 12/26. After several mystery bills where they charged us several hundred dollars and the same crappy internet with no resolution at all, we've decided to cut our losses here. Had several techs out concerning the Internet since this first review in November. Still not much satisfaction. The one manager told me that 30 Mbps is within the 40 range I pay for. I've never gotten over 30--I've checked all times during day and night. At night we typically go down to 2-5. I told him I will be paying my bill according to that same range--anywhere from 15-75% of the range of what I should be getting and this paying. I've spent hours--literally--on the phone with them over mysterious billing issues and over internet issues. I'll never do att again. Ever! PS: one of my favorite troubleshooting moments was when the guy had no other suggestions to try and my internet was still about 2/3 of what I should be getting. He tells me it must be my laptop. I was getting the same speeds hard wired as I was with wifi. Still, he said it must be my laptop though and could send a tech out to look at this for $60 or so. First, I have a MacBook Pro--one of the finest computing machines available. Second, no att rep is going to look at my computer. And he was going to charge me!!!!! When I spoke to a manager later that day they said they could not believe he would say that--this call is recorded for quality assurance, so you can check, which is what I told them. My issue still hasn't been resolved...my internet was still running about 20-15 Mbps throughout the day with no troubleshooting from them working. Finally after the third call that day they guy offers to comp me the usage for the day. Really?! $5. My internet still isn't fixed. I spent 3 phone calls and two and half hours on the phone with you today, and for all of that you are going to give me $5 and still not fix the problem. That was the final straw for me. They did end up comping $20 or something like that. But for this level of service from the Internet and from customer service, I'd pay them to not have to have this in my life anymore. read more

The worst customer service I have ever had the nightmare of dealing with. I only had there service for 4 months and had to cancel it. In the first two weeks alone they had to come out twice to fix the service and then a week later it goes out again and then they say it will be two weeks before they can get a tech out to me. So for the first month i was only able to use about a week and a half of their internet. When i finally was able to get somebody on the phone he told me he would waive the first months bill which I was cool with. A month goes by and i receive a bill with late charges. So i call and explain the situation to them about I was supposed to get the first month free. She waives the late fee and the first months bill and I pay my bill everything's good so I thought. The next months bill comes and what do you know more late fees. So I call back again pissed off. An all the person can say is no one left any notes on your account about the first months bill being waived and there's nothing they can do about that or the late fee's. The bill was over $220. At this point I am so angry. I told them to turn off my service and i'll go find another provider that won't dick me around. The experience I had with AT&T was a complete nightmare and I do not recommend them to anybody. read more

I was offered to switch from Time Warner and promised a certain price and to top it off, a $250 gift card, just for switching. I called about the price when I got my bill and they said there was no way to promise the price quoted by their representative. They also said I was not eligible for the $250 gift card also promised by their rep. I called several times to complain and always got a rep from the Philippines, who hardly spoke English. They said they would review the security tapes, since all calls are recorded. They said it would take 10 days and they would be back with me. We've had AT&T for internet and television for 5 years now. They hooked us up even before they had truly expanded into our area and I was happy with them for a long time. Lately though they have been acting up too much. Television loses the signal (and it's just one TV) right in the middle of a show and the internet has been dropping too. Their customer service has been great but this dropping signal is a pain in the butt! Plus they are pricey.... If they were available where we're moving too we'd probably continue with them but alas we will have to find a new provider. read more

This third time just got rescheduled again, the day before the install! Good thing I didn't have to modify my work hours beforehand so I could be there for the install! The manager is clueless. It's infuriating, that you can't understand half the things that are being said or done. My dvr was not working properly, so I called tech support to help setup my new box. Tech support informed me that I had a weak signal and a tech needed to come out. He even stated, he knew that was not the reason I was calling. Long story short, the tech came out and I was charged a $99 tech fee. WTH.... I only called to get help on a setup and it cost $99. I moved so I wanted to change cable and internet service. Called At&t set up installation for 3|5|2018. Later I received a call and and email stating that installation had been changed to 3/13. This is did not work for me, I called to reschedule. Could not understand the employee after being so frustrated I just cancelled all together. Later I received an email stating that if I changed my mind to let them know. I decided that maybe I should give them another chance. Called again after being on hold for 20 minutes and asked to be in hold for another 5 mins I hung up. Later I called again 3hours, 15 calls later, being put on hold, transferred, calls dropped. While I was on hold the trying to cancel my daughter set me up with Wow. They will be out tomorrow after work. HORRIBLE customer service!!! Run Away! I had the Uverse U300 package installed and less than 24 hours later, canceled it. We've been long time TIme Warner/Spectrum customers and the ATT package sounded great. Better price, more channels with even 3 premium channels free. The deal they offered would save me about $50 per month over Spectrum. ATT's internet was a bit slower than Spectrum, (25 Mbps vs 30), but the sales guys assured me that wouldn't be a problem since the ATT internet featured dedicated fiber-optic lines while the Spectrum internet line is shared by several people which can affect the speed. The sales guy failed to mention that ATT 's system is all WiFi based, meaning that all devices have to share that 25 Mbps bandwidth.... The installation was supposed to take 3 to 4 hours at most. They showed up at the proper time, but didn't have the right parts and had to come back the following day. The second day they spent another 3 hours and completed the installation around 6 pm. All 4 TVs in my house seemed to be fine and the internet was working on my main computer. After the installation was complete and the techs left, the first thing that I noticed was that my son's computer in my basement had a weak signal and couldn't pick up the internet and my upstairs computer had an average speed of about 8x0.03. During the course of the next hour or so, my TV Uverse signal was lost 4 times! I called ATT about an hour after the tech left and spent over an hour on the phone with the Tech Support department while he troubleshot all sorts of things. His final conclusion was that they needed to send out another tech the following morning. He arranged the service call and yesterday morning the technician arrived. When I explained the situation, his first words were to apologize as he explained that he was an "outside" Tech and I needed an "premises" (inside) technician. He tried to help but was unsuccessful. So, to recap, in the first 18 hours that we had the service, the TV lost the Uverse signal 4 times and the computer lost the internet completely twice. I had techs in my house for 3 days running and spent over an hour on the phone with the technical support department. At that point, I decided to cut my losses and called to cancel the service. The operator asked for one more chance to send out the "right" technician to correct the problem. I agreed and spent a lot of time on hold as they were trying to schedule the service call. The tech department operator came back on and asked if we could try troubleshooting the system as we waited. I respectfully declined, explaining that the night before I had spent over an hour on the phone while they performed troubleshooting and didn't see the point of repeating the process. She said she understood and put me back on hold. The straw that broke the camel's back came when she then came back on the line and informed me that I would be charged $149.00 for the "on demand" service call since I wouldn't let them troubleshoot again! I nearly dropped the phone! They wanted me to pay for a service call to fix their system problems with the botched installation job!! Not to mention the fact that they sent out the wrong kind of service technician yesterday morning!! I then even spoke with a manager who seemed to be just perfunctorily reciting their policy with no sympathy for my plight. At that point, it was the principle of the situation and I'd had enough. I disconnected all the ATT equipment and returned it. I guess the old adage is right-- if it sounds too good to be true it is! If ATT contacts you, run away, hang up or close your door!!!! Don't believe anything they say! Postscript: It is now a week later and I received a bill for 1 day of service! To top everything off, they were billing me for the second day of the three-day installation nightmare. We didn't even have service turned on yet at that point!!! this prompted yet another phone call to AT&T which I just made and got them to cancel it. It might have been my imagination but since they could see that I cancelled the service (I also confirmed that they had actually cancelled it), they sure seemed to be even less friendly. I've read other reviews where people have complained of additional new charges being added to their bills. I really don't like to write bad reviews, but this company has pulled the final straw. I wish I could give them a negative star. The company tries to change your billing rate when you call in to ask questions, (when I first signed up). On chat, a service representative was helping with a support question, then went into a sales pitch about how he could get me a better package for the same money. I asked him if it was going to add any charges to my monthly bill and he said no. I did screen shot of the conversation, just in case. Sure enough when the bill came in, there was an additional charge of $20. per month. I called to have it removed and met with opposition from the representative on the line. She was refusing to adjust the bill stating it was my word against his. I finally owned up to making the screen shots and then she agreed to adjust my bill. However, she was incompetent and it required another lengthy phone call to straighten out her mess. I have had nothing but problems with the hardware and the internet signal goes down all the time. It was necessary to change boxes in the first 24 hours of installation, because they stopped working. The wireless boxes, which I did not ask to have installed but were used for the technicians convenience, lock up and drop the signal at least once a week. The internet is so slow, I am constantly waiting for my computer to buffer. When I call ATT, they tell me we have the fastest service they offer in this area. I finally changed to another service provider this week and called to cancel my account with ATT. I knew was going to be fun. The first rep told me I couldn't cancel until I paid my bill that was just mailed out a few days ago, and mind you I am paid in advance. I asked him to go ahead and take my payment, he said he had to transfer me to another department. When that person came on the line, I was disconnected. I went to the website to look up my account and pay the bill and the system is down. So, I call back again and this time the lady said she could cancel my account (without payment, because I am paid up in advance) but then tells me that I am in contract until November 3. I said I am on a month to month contract, and she proceeds to argue. Finally she says it will be a $15. fee to cancel. I told her no matter what the cost I just want to never to do business with ATT again. This company is not reputable and will try to over charge any way they can. Not honest. Terrible service. One of the worst experiences ive had with any company that claims to have customer service. During my direct tv and att internet service a customer service rep came to my home and approached me with an offer to change my cell phone service. I was not unhappy with my service with sprint, but was offered a cheaper plan with a new phone for free to sweeten the deal. I decided to take the leap for the free phone and $15 off of my direct tv bill per month for bundling. After 2 months I found out I was being charged an extra $31.25 per month for the phone on a payment plan and I wasn't getting the $15 credit. That's $46.25 per month more than what I was told I would pay. I will be changing my service immediately. The worst part is that these people will lie to your face in your own living room. Their customer service says that deal never existed and they can't do anything about it. I feel violated as a customer!!!!!! I will be getting rid of every att device and service in my home. read more

This company is pure b.s.! I called to receive their service last June 2014 and they no called no showed on me 3 separate times! I then had to transfer out of my apartment in the LC community to a new apartment due to a facility issue and when I called to transfer my service, they scheduled a time to be to my new location to do an installation transfer. That date comes they no call no show again!! So I called and spoke with 2 separate people, both of whom were equally useless, and explained that their company has no called no showed on me 4 times now in less than a year! I asked to speak to a manager, they don't do that. I asked to speak to a local area manager, they don't do that. They keep giving me a run around. Then, they tell me the next available appointment isn't until 3 days later!!!! I have to now take a 5th day of time off to compensate for them?!?! I explained that and all they offered was a $25 credit... B.S.! And the last person I spoke with could not guarantee someone would actually arrive on a new date because SHE ISNT WITH THE SCHEDULE DEPARTMENT! Asked to speak to that group, they don't do that. I also explained to them that the last resident of my apartment had their product and left it in my apartment! It is still hooked up even and everything so my installation should be a breeze and they still don't care! Only answer you receive from them is "I'm sorry to hear that." Spoke with 2 of my neighbors and they gave me the same story about AT&T before I told my story! This constant delay hurts my job and my ability to contact my customers for the business I am in. This company does not value anyone's time nor do they even begin to be honest with you. You get a constant run around. It's a pure shame that AT&T service level doesn't match their product level. Product is great... service is garbage. My recommendation to anyone reading this is NEVER go with AT&T U-verse. They simply don't value anyone as a customer and they don't have the decency to call and tell you their about to screw you over. read more

One star is too many. I had service installed about twelve days ago and so far I am totally disgusted. AT&T cares nothing about customer service. They were suppose to bury a cable in my back yard within five days after installation. They installed the cable but never buried it which makes yard work more difficult than necessary. All I get is a run around. Most of the time the representative on the end of the line has no clue about how to help me with this issue. I was told that paperwork shows that the cable has been buried. Bull crap!. I am looking at the cable lying on the ground daily. AT&T is full of crap. They talk a good game to get your business then they abandon their customers. read more

We have used uverse since it first became available. We used to love it, but as with every cable/ISP provider the price always goes up. We hate that go through changing and losing our DVR'd shows, we for the last year, we have put changing off. We even got all new equipment late last year to make us feel like we are getting our monies worth... It now has disruptions and needs to restart almost daily. We come back from vacation and it has been out for 5 days and they knew it and didn't fix the outdoor when it broke. It can be fixed without entering the house. read more

My box wouldn't connect and I called customer service and set up a technician to come out on friday 1/25 between 4-6 (5 days after I was supposed to have service). I got a text confirmation stating it was scheduled for Thursday 1/24 so I tried to cancel online and couldn't. I spoke to sheldon bell g who stated twice that he rescheduled my appt to friday 1/25. On friday at 5:30 I chatted with Alisha who informed me there was no appt scheduled and then Walter who blamed my order being self install for no technician being sent. I waited on hold for 20 minutes for a supervisor, Sara, who then told me the same thing also essentially blaming me for the lack of appt even though I was told by 2 different people that a technician was scheduled to check the broken box I was sent for Friday 1/25. I opted to cancel. I was then put on hold for another 10 minutes while I was transferred to cancel. Awful experience. read more

This horrid company calls me 15 times per week every week trying to get me to buy U-Verse since I switched from it to WOW! Consumer: beware! They do not stop their harassing calls no matter what you do. I registered for FTC's Do Not Call, I filed Better Business Bureau complaints, and so forth. I called them repeatedly. Nothing -- and I mean nothing -- makes it stop. If you are not getting these calls but are thinking of using AT&T, just remember that if you ever make the mistake I did, you will pay.
