I still like Bresco but they require a 30 day notice to stop service. I wish I knew that. It is costing me $49. We had been used to WOW and when I put a vacation hold with WOW for a future date, they stopped service immediately. I didn't want that and only gave Bresco a week notice. Bresco service was decent for the area but another company has just put in fiber for about the same charge. They do not seem to outsource customer service. I did need to reboot my router alot perhaps because of the more rural service area. read more

This company advertises high speed internet and while their prices look great on the surface, their services are TERRIBLE. I have tested the internet speeds many times and they are never as fast as what they are advertised. You definitely do NOT get what you pay for with this company. I finally went with a different provider and when I asked for a refund for the amount they owed me, the agreed to give it to me minus a five dollar in(convenience) fee. Further, I was transferred to three different people in order to get to this point. I now have Time Warner Cable and their service is much faster and not much more costly. I would definitely avoid using this company if you're looking to do anything other than watch the spinning icon on your computer while your internet refuses to load. read more

I would NOT recommend Bresco Broadband at 423 E. Town St. Columbus, Ohio. They charged me 2,064.00 to wire my 12 unit apartment building, never were able to provide service to the building and installed wiring not compatible with other providers such as Spectrum. I sent a Certified Letter to the company giving them 30 days to response and got 0 response by the deadline. After hounding them, the CEO, Brent Beatty, finally e-mailed me and refuses to reimburse me for the unuseable lines and appeared irritated that I was being such a pest. This is the worst wifi I have ever used. It's free and it's not even worth it. It takes AT LEAST 3 minutes for any page to fully load if you only have one tab open and streaming a 30 minute show can take up to an hour. Plus you have to log in again every time you get on your device and the log in screen takes minutes to load. I'm in the process of purchasing new internet and I've only been with Bresco for 3 days. read more

When the internet service that I had was SkyWirez High-Speed Internet it was great. Now when Bresco Broadband took over my internet service went form great to suckssss over night. I called them a couple of times in 3 weeks and their repair techs suck worse than the company. When they were at my house and could not get a better reception, the the techs said that they would be back with something to try to make it better (TRY!!). So I asked them what options were available and I was told that they could not tell me because of the company. I am looking for something better if they don't man up. I have been calling for 2 and a half weeks telling them my internet is out. I've gotten multiple "we are fixing it" "our level 2 team is on it" "scheduling will be calling you to come out" responses. The lady then told me it was fixed, then after investigating further said it was not because of the weather, and therefore was pushed back 2 more weeks. What? They literally put me on hold for 17 minutes until the scheduling office officially closed, then apologized that the office was closed and I could call back the next day. The next day, they weren't in, Ive not gotten one call back from scheduling, they blame the company that they bought the contract from, but sky wirez always had amazing customer service. Absolute garbage. If you ever need to download something, good luck. Took two days, 48 hours, to download a 60gb file. My family lives 3 hours away from me and it would've been faster to drive to their house, use their internet, and drive back. On top of that it cuts out every 30 minute so. The experience we have had at our business with Bresco over the last couple of years has been downright upsetting. Bresco could not present the contract for review until 8 months after it had expired. Also changed internet service from 30 mbps up and down to 10 mbps general wifi, yet still charged $950 for it. And we are a 501(c)19 organization. Absolutely terrible. Stay very far away from this business. read more

Slow internet service that has slow downs causing it to be basically in-usable every few weeks. Add a lack of 24 hour support in to the mix for a really horrible internet experience. If you have other choices take them. I'd even deal with century link over this. If moving and this is your only provider stay away. We had great, fast service when we first started service with Bresco... however in the past couple years the speed is 80% slower than what it is supposed to be (per their speed test). I understand things happen, but numerous people in the area have called in, and they have known for some time that there is a problem. Yet, all they say is they're looking into it. Must not have the "A team" on that project! Meanwhile, we've had to up our Verizon plan to unlimited, and use that instead because it's so much faster. We can no longer stream movies on our TV, which is annoying, especially since we're paying Bresco $80/month, and also have to pay over $80 extra to Verizon bc Bresco is so slow. Still waiting for 2 call backs regarding our bill, and also one from a manager...good luck to me! If we were not in a rural area and had any other choice...we would not be using Bresco based on the lack of customer service in the last year or so. They were great before that!! read more

The absolute worst. I live in a 14-unit apartment building and get this wifi for free. Well, you get what you pay for. First of all, you have to log in to your account every time you want to use the wifi, and it's not like a regular password login; no you have to wait for the Bresco pop-up window to show up to type in your info. And this only shows up like 40% of the time so my phone/laptop will say I'm connected to wifi but really I'm just sitting in limbo somewhere waiting to log in and nothing will load. Because of this, you're screwed if you want to connect most wireless devices like a printer, DVD player, PS4 ect. because there is no way for this login pop-up to open on these devices. Not only that but when you are finally connected it's the slowest wifi ever. I have to sit and wait for minutes at a time for any of my phone apps to load, Netflix is terrible quality, video streaming is horrible. It disconnects itself randomly throughout the day or won't even connect in the first place- my devices will say "reset your router" but I do not have access to that since I live in an apartment complex. I appreciated not having an internet bill for a few months, but I think I'll switch and fork over the money to save myself the anger. read more

From Lima to Jacksonville to Columbus, I have used the same devices with TWC, Comcast, AT&T and WOW! Now, I have Bresco because they're cheaper but it is the worst service I have ever had. Do not do business with them if you can't use your own router - if you use their WIFI, you will have frequent disruptions in service. read more

I've been using this company for roughly two months, and not one day have I not had a problem. First of all, the Internet goes out about once a week, and when the Internet is up I get about 1mbps, which is rediculous. With TWC for $21 a month (my current rate) you get Internet that actually does something. I can't even use snapchat. This month, they charged my 5 times for the monthly Internet fee and it took me 4 phone calls and an email just to get them to credit me back 4 of them. The first time they only credited 3, and even when they credited the fourth charge it was $17 and not $21. This company is unbelievable. Would NOT recommend. read more

The worst internet I have ever had. It's not just the speed to load a page on the internet but also the dependability of the servers. The ping has constantly fluctuated between 50 and 100. It is rare that I actually receive the Mbps i signed up for both downloading and uploading content. The customer service and attention is awful. I have changed my Mbps several times but in order for the transaction to actually be changed or charged correctly I have to call the store and remind them I did it. The responsibility and attention to customer satisfaction is bad, I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more
