I called and filed a claim, was told I would hear back in 10 days, no one called, of course, so I filed a complaint with BBB and found out AT&T doesn't care that they damage your property, they will not fix it and basically call you a liar. The so called executive office that called me even said they do not fix tire ruts in yards......like idiot your lost employee parked in my yard , damaged it and I wasn't even the one that was getting the service and now you won't fix it. AT&T has like most large companies gone the way of robo response to solve problems. It generally leaves more than a lot to be desired. A one hour wait is not uncommon, an a call back from an unknown number that you won't recognize in an age when you don't answer calls from unknown numbers. Beyond dumb. Most devices are fine for 5g connections but occasionally not. Normally you have the option for a 2.4 g connection apparently AT&T decided to merge them making this impossible unless they intervene. Which means days attempting to contact them and no response. Has to be a better solution. Like a human/ humane one. read more

I don't write many reviews. Their customer service is THE WORST I have ever experienced with any company. Absolutely indifferent to our nearly two weeks of no Internet. Their team is incompetent and ill equipped. They have no idea when it will be restored and have zero intention to do anything right for the customer for the inconvenience. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. We are continuously told it is an area outage, yet our neighbors have AT&T internet with no problems. When you have issues, and you will, you will be on hold for hours, forced to use their AI assistants that fail at troubleshooting and repeatedly disconnect you. We swapped out all the hardware based on their direction, and I repeat, our neighbors AT&T works, yet they refuse to send a technician or anyone to troubleshoot. Absolutely atrocious. On Saturday an AT&T crew worked to make a repair to their cable on my property. The crew left having torn up our front garden and not reporting it to us. Today I tried for more than an hour and a half to contact AT&T to make a claim for damage. I was put on hold three times without anyone picking up and I talked to two agents who were unable to give a number to call to make a claim. If you are looking for an internet provider or cable company, please remember this. They will NEVER be responsive to to your problems and will never provide decent service. read more

My modem had to be switched out due to an ongoing internet issue. James was prompt, polite, and professional. After he finished the repair, James made sure that everything was working properly. I was pleasantly surprised when he made sure the area where my new modem is kept in my home was as clean as when he started the repair/replacement. Had someone install the fiber optic! It was installed incorrectly per tech support 5 days after installation. Large tv with main box works fine, smaller tv freezes 1-7 times a day then cuts off. Tech support says "but you can reset it right" should not have to get up 5 times in 30 minutes to do so!!!! I pay way too much for that. Sent us out equipment for my "husband" to hook up. An ATT employee created an account in my name complete with a fake email, password, and security question unbeknownst to me. I could never login to pay my bills, and I was charged tons in late fees. After finally getting autopay set up through many phone calls, my internet was shutoff one day. I was told there was a glitch in the system and my payment would not go through. I had to pay a fee to be reconnected. This was an organized scam by AT&T!!! I cancelled my internet today and will never be using AT&T again. read more

Terrible, terrible. I can write story after story on these con artist. They sold me 1000mbps come to find out that 1000 mbps is not in my area. They never even showed up the first 2 times then 3 hours the 3rd time. Then drilled holes in my hardwood floor where there is NO tv. I would sue them but they probably wouldnt show for that either!! AT&T U-Verse TV is completely worthless. In the three weeks we have had it, it has been down a total of five days. When we call, we get the typical run around, and many times the call is disconnected. The internet service is fine, but TV is a train wreck! Also, we signed up for the $49.00 one-year special package, and the first bill we received was for $118.00. When my husband called to dispute it he was passed from department to department, only to be cut off in the middle of a conversation because Customer Service closes at 7:00. I kid you not - he was speaking with a lady who informed him that she was not feeling well. As he was explaining something to her at 7:00 on the hour, she cut the call off. When he called back, he got a message that Customer Service (which is no service at all) closes at 7:00 p.m. It would have been funny if it had not been so frustrating. Customer service for ATT TV lies and lies. Waited for a month for a large credit and never received. Meanwhile they tried hitting the card for a payment on a daily basis. Now that the service is canceled they gave me the credit and took it back for early cancellation charge. I'm over them they are horrible! Customer Service and policies has great deteriorated over the past two years. I called to end my services since I became unemployed , but they offered services at a great price. The next month price had increased so I told them to cancel the uverse. It was at that time they told me I was in a 12 month contract and would have to pay a penalty. Well, I was never informed of that during my first call and every month my bill has been increasing. I can say that I would not recommend AT&T to anyone, you cannot trust anything that is said to you one month to the next. And once my so called contract is up, it will be bye, bye for me. I was very disappointed that I could not get DIRECTV at my location so the technician tried to hook up AT&T U-verse for me (internet TV). He said it was not available although someone a mile from me was able to get it. I did not know any better so I got a local cable company and pretty got disgusted by their offering. I came back and and asked AT&T to check again for service in my area. They did and I was very glad that they were able to get me service the second time around. A lot of pros: -Great pricing. Beat the competitor whom I left by many miles. For $100/month I get both internet and TV. You can get a lesser channel line up than mine and go even cheaper. -HBO & Showtime all channels for three months free of charge. -Numerous combined discount for bundling internet and TV. You get even more discount if you bundle that with your cell phone service. -Good internet from my experience.Not at the speed of Verizon Fios yet but acceptable. More on that in the Cons section. -Professional installation and expertise. -Fantastic hardware. Industry standard channel offers. -No tv signal issue. I lost signal once in three weeks and even then, the signal came back right away. -Great DVR. Can record four shows simultaneously. 1TB storage. They managed to beat Verizon in this department. Cons: -Should not have taken them twice to connect service to me -Internet has it instabilities the first week. My speed slowed down significantly and I did not know what was going on. Luckily, they have fix it tool that restarted the router remotely for me. I have not had any problem ever since. I could not get satelite TV at my location so I had two options: to go with Northland Cable who was completely incompetent or AT&T Uverse. AT&T really came to the rescue because I would have been miserable with Northland. Competitive pricing. Industry standard promotions. Good quality and service. I am very satisfied. I know AT&T is pushing DIRECTV but I hope they maintain the quality of their internet TV service in the area. read more

Don't use this company!!! This is the worst company in the country. They all lie. The internet never works right. The Direct TV is all infomercials. They never show up when they say they are going to. The only reason we used them was because they were the only ones available in our area. I guess that is why their service SUCKS is because they know you can't go any place else. I was told I was going to get a $200.00 rebate and that never happened. Greenville, SC needs to get an internet and cable company that will do what they promise. I can't believe that in today's market GREENVILLE SC can't find a decent internet provider. AT&T are out to rip you off! We recently changed internet and tv services. The service was slow and the channel line up was losing channels. We disconnected on Sept 9, because the service charges a month in ADVANCE, we are now told that we must pay the FULL charge ($185) for service from Sept 4-Sept 9. They "no longer " pro-rate their bills. This is totally absurd and we will not recommend ATT to anyone. Their products are cheap, their internet is SLOW, and they are always dropping channels. I moved to the area and called AT&T to get phone, internet and direct tv. They installed the internet connection. Only AFTER I got direct TV installed, I found out that AT&T can only provide internet service at 1.5 Mbps, and Direct TV requires at least 2.0 for the basic uses such as on demand. AT&T never told me that I would be unable to use many of direct TV's functions because the internet was too slow. I feel that they misrepresented the sale from the beginning and then kept me on hold for two days for an hour + at a time. Given my previous experience with AT&T cellphone service, I was Pensive about my encounter with AT&T for cable and Internet. Business associates had recommended AT&T because of their high speed fiberoptic Internet service. I made an appointment for the following morning. The technician called on time and said that he could be there a little early and got my permission .The technicians name was Jesse who was very professional. He was able to quickly hook up the service because the previous owners had the service. He was able to get my TV cable service up and the Internet Service as well in a short period of time. He gave me a quick tutorial about the Service. He also discovered that I had signed up for only the basic cable service and he quickly installed an update. He made sure all the connections were good to my TV and answered my questions. The Internet service is fast and smooth. The clarity of the signal on my admittedly 10 year old television is phenomenal. I had service in another city for the last 10 years and the picture clarity was nowhere near as good is it is here. The technician gave me his number and the connectuon codes and asked me to call him if I had any difficulty at all. Thank you to Jesse and AT&T for their excellent customer service. read more

U-verse does not honor their end of the contract. My bill after only 3 months went up by $60 making it almost $200 a month. Spent 2 hours on the phone with them today to try and fix bill, was not resolved to my satisfaction. Promised a gift card for signing up, guess what? no gift card yet. They use Direct TV which sucks. If it rain, the wind blows or a squirrel farts, the tv goes out. Totally not worth it. If you like what you have, take my advice, DO NOT GET U-VERSE. Just moved and had no other choice for high speed internet. Started at 45 mb, but not stable at all. Then got moved to a slower speed of 24mbs and still horrible internet. This is the worst connection I've had in over 10 years. It is the most inconsistent connection ever. The speeds are all over the place. I've contacting tech support for over a month now, and it is still garbage. The worst part is that ATT is the only one offering DSL in my area. I'm already to move again. For starters, AT&T u verse is not even worth a penny. The people are rude for one and it is slower than internet explorer on it's bad days. The wifi barely works and it has jammed up my phone one by one. It takes forever with loading things and other stuff on your phone and on netflix. Slowest Internet. Telephone service is least flexible and goes up in price after some unknown time. Of all providers I suggest you check out Vonage or Ooma. Picture quality (what they consider to be HD is not even close to Charter) is awful especially if you have spent money on a large flat screen TV. The worst thing about AT&T is their service. Trying to get answers is very frustrating, tremendously time consuming. (I have had several 2+ hour sessions). They often do not do what they say they will do. Billing is totally screwed up and impossible to understand. AFTER OVER A YEAR OF PUNISHMENT, I cancelled my service and ended up with a $300 dollar credit, which they ultimately reduced to $200. I think their reasons were totally bogus. Now after agreeing on their $200 number it is going into the third month that even though they acknowledge the credit that I can not get a refund check. This is not how a responsible US corporation conducts business. They are in fact borrowing this money from me at 0% interest. If you have any dealings with them document everything - - time, date, and name of the party, AND THE DIVISION WHERE THEY WORK. My sincere advice - Run the other way!
