Terrible employees, no empathy or problem solving. Simply looking to up sale unwanted services and commit fraud when decline offers. Messed up simple phone order pick up and caused unnecessary charges to appear on bill. No resolution, just an SOL. Avoid all at&t stores. read more

Date: 10-10-2 recently switched and bundled all my devices. Part of the switch did not go well for me and I had many questions. I went to the store today and a young man named Alejandro assisted me. Sept 30, Sunday, 4pm. Waited for 20 mins for ATT Reps after signed in. 3 Reps chatting up front but wouldn't approach us. 2 other Reps assisting 1 customers. If I would have based this rating on my initial sales Experience it would have been a five even with the long wait because the Rep was great.. I was at the store 3 hours due to system issues and because it kept saying I owed when I didn't. After 3 hours at the store I had to com back the next day. The next day I got 3 new phones and 2 apple watches and was PROMISED waived activation fees but told to come back after my bill cycle. Went back last Wednesday and some other person with less customer service ability "helped" me and told me the credits would be applied by Friday of last week, and well an entire week as passed and nothing. I call ATT to get this resolved but billing can't help me because no one put a single note on my account to verify that my activation fees would be waived. I don't like my time being waisted and I despise poor customer management. Your store is based on revenue and revenue is up when you manage to master repeat customers and repeat customers are formed by trustworthy bonds built by honoring what you say. My iPhone 6 is starting to have battery trouble so I stopped by yesterday to check out the new iPhone 8. I was told the X would be out tomorrow and sometimes that means a price decrease in the latest model before it. I thanked the clerk and came back today. Not sure if they work on commission or not, but figured I'd go back to the clerk from yesterday. The guy at the door got me all checked in on his official looking iPad and let me know my rep was working a sale and he would be right with me, as soon as he wrapped things up with that customer. I took a seat and waited. There were other clerks that were not busy and a few folks came in were served and left, as I patiently waited. Finally, he completed his sale and by now there was only me and four clerks in the store. I sat all alone at a table near the back of the store. No one including the clerk I had made an appointment with came and asked what I was doing or if they could help me out. I waited a few minutes more then made my way to the door, where I was told they hoped I'd have a nice afternoon. To which I responded it can't be any worse than my treatment here. No one asked ohhh what happened can we try to fix this for you, how can we help. So I went to my car to write this up, now I'm going next door to T-Mobile to see how they treat their customers. read more

This place has begun to go downhill. It seems that the employees are less knowledgeable when it comes to technology and they oftentimes try to push new services on us e.g. WiFi and television services, even when we tell them that we're not interested. They also don't have a lot in stock; we've had to order most of the phones and accessories that we've wanted recently. It's not horrible service... it's just not great either. ‍ read more

My mother went in to today to pay a bill and cancel my dad's line since he passed away this week. Jose, the customer service representative that asked her what she needed told her she could use a self service kiosk or call. He seemed like he couldn't be bothered by her. Maybe because she didn't want to buy anything, I'm not sure. When someone tells you what they need and why, you help them. My mother worked for AT&T over 7 years and has been a loyal customer since 2000. I'm highly dissatisfied to be writing this review for a company that we have believed in and trusted for so long. He couldn't even say sorry to my mother, let alone help her with her needs. I highly recommend you take your phone needs elsewhere, even if that means driving to Turlock or Merced. Their employees need to learn compassion and a sense of decency because they absolutely have none. Thanks for nothing JOSE. read more

Super sad because I received great customer service when I traded in my phone that day BUT then the rep started a Directv account for us after I said NO and used someone else's phone # to do it so we were never notified. Directv said this happens with some stores because the reps have sales quotas to meet so they get sneaky about it. Terrible service. I understand the queue system which was fine when we were added to the list upon arrival. Only wanting to purchase a screen protector and waiting about 30 minutes it was our turn. Unfortunately the gentleman employee decides to stop attending to our name which was up on the queue and help all the people that came in to pay their bill at the self pay machine. Finally another female employee came out to help us. To top it off the gentleman employee started laughing at us when we left thinking it was funny he didn't help us. I've been with AT&T for over 30 years. If your not buying a new phone and ask for help with your existing account, they have absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! They are not the same as they use to be!! The new manager was one of their old sales guys - definitely not manager material the way he treated me!!! Customer service is what makes a store exist and brings in more customers. Well after I walked out of the store extremely angry, I walked over to the restaurant next door and announced my horrible service and the girls all chimed in and said yeah they're not the same anymore and a girl there told me she was changing her service with them today also because of the horrible service!!! The others said they already left AT&T. I was livid when I left the store and they couldn't give a rats ass about keeping my (6) lines. I have with them for over (30 +) years. I would never recommend anyone to go to AT&T here in Atwater worst store to deal with. My phone was returned to they're store and yet its been pasted 14 days for them to charge the credit back to my card. I had to contact the store and they said they are not willing to help me over the phone. I had to tell my bank, unfortunately that's how this company works like any huge retail, besides the point this was pretty ridiculous having to wait I can see why but the deal with the way I was treated and how the manager was very uncaring with the situations and how he handled his customers. There needs to be less than one star for a company like this. Here is the saga: Phone drowned in a cup of coffee and we needed a replacement, no worries because it's a Thursday, we're in Vegas and it can be done quickly with all the stores around right? Um, no. So the number was on an account under the "primary account holder" who won't release the password, but was willing to release the phone. Friday morning he walks into an AT&T store in Pennsylvania and releases the phone. That evening we go into a store in Vegas and try to gain access, but their records show the account wasn't accessed (we were on the phone with him when he was in the store, he told the AT&T minion what he needed). So we sit on the phone again that evening in the corporate store (3rd store we visited that day since we got referred to two incorrect locations to start) and again he goes through the process of releasing the phone - done! Now she should be able to buy her own plan or control her number how she wants, right? Nope. Saturday afternoon we are back in the store trying to figure out how to add her to an existing FamilyTalk plan, we are told it will be $18 and we can either make the "primary account holder" in CA walk into a store over there and do it, or we can do it online. That sounds way better, we'll take time to research replacement phones then do it online since it's so simple. Come Sunday morning we get online and start the process, only it isn't simple. The online chat people are all unavailable. Can't even cue for them, just simply grayed out icons. Then I call... 40 mins and 5 transfers later I'm talking to customer service representative who tells me we still can't transfer her phone to the FamilyTalk plan and keep her number because we don't have the password (remember how releasing the phone was supposed to give her the power to manage her number? turns out that isn't quite true). Oh, and the people over the phone can't help me (at a price of $18) because the FamilyTalk plan has a discount through work and the very separate and highly specialized business department at AT&T doesn't work or can't be bothered with client issues on Sundays. That's exactly what you'd expect to hear from a multi-national corporation right? And you want to file an official complaint, you expect an online, email, or call-in option for a TECH company? Nope, I'm told to mail a letter to: AT&T Mobility Customer Care PO BOX 755 Atwater, CA 95301 Sure, that makes sense. That's exactly what every tech-savy multi-national, multi-billion dollar corporation corporation should be doing demonstrate their commitment to customer care. This needs a very, very hard re-think by AT&T. It's really no wonder that they rank at the bottom of customer care in every region of the country. The cell service is fine, but taking 3 days to jump through all of their hoops, get conflicting information about what needs to be done, and ultimately end up with nothing is disrespectful to their client base. read more

I recently had the unfortunate experience of breaking my cellphone so I went to the AT&T store in Atwater to get a new one. I spoke to sales associate who determined that although it was not going to be cheap I would be able to get a new phone. The sales associate I was dealing with confirmed the transaction with the manager and we began the process. A few minutes later the associate began to have problems with the transaction and was told by the manager that I would not be able to get a phone at the price he had originally told me. Needless to say I was very irritated and later purchased the phone from another AT&T store. I returned to the Atwater store the following morning to purchase a Lifeproof case. I purchased the phone case and upon getting it home I found that the case was used which forced me to drive back to the store to get what I had paid for. Bottom line this store is more about volume than customer service. Go somewhere else where they do what they say they will do and give you what you pay for the first time. read more
