This place is just as bad as the s say. only here to sell you a phone and be rude about it. both staff and manager were rude. Went in because I couldn't use iMessage. Staff said the only fix was to buy a new phone. I did. Didn't fix anything. They told me to call Apple, which I did in store -- half the issue was Apple's, but the rest was clearly AT&T connectivity problems they tried to pin on Apple. I called apple in store , apple ran a diagnostic and proved it was not the brand new device. They then said I'd need to contact AT&T customer service myself. I spent an hour and a half on the phone with AT&T customer service in store before getting transferred to someone who could actually help -- then the call dropped. Instead of reconnecting me, in store staff said I'd have to call AT&T customer service again and repeat the entire hour-plus process. I never needed a new phone. my issue was unrelated. They will simply ask you to go in store to try to sell you a new phone. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. THIS IS A THIRD PARTY AT&T STORE AND THEY ARE AWFUL. I was on a Verizon phone plan and wanted to switch over to AT&T to match the WiFi of my new apartment, as I just moved to Austin. I came to the store to move to the new iPhone and bundle my phone and WiFi. I was at the store for over 6.5 hours while they were working on my phone. SIX AND A HALF HOURS. From 1pm-645pm. They said there was an issue transferring to the new phone and then another issue with the SIM card. The waiting was mainly due to waiting for software updates, waiting for the transfer, and them being on the phone with their own customer service. They let me leave the store at 645pm in the dark to drive home with two phones, neither of which with service, saying that there was a SIM delay and it would take up to 24 hours. I was furious. I waited over 24 hours and am now at another AT&T store which is not through a third party. I am writing this as I have been here for over 2 hours, trying to get them to fix whatever problem the other store created. There was an issue with them transferring me from Verizon to AT&T, so at this new store, they are saying that they may not be able to use my previous phone number and IF I WANT TO I HAVE TO GO BACK TO VERIZON. Still not done with this awful experience but please save yourselves by not going to this store. Miguel, the assistant manager, took over my problem 3 hours into me being at the store, and he was incredibly cold and did not share any information during my full day experience there. I understand that issues happen, but the lack of communication and customer service for someone who has no idea what is happening and getting increasingly frustrated, he should not be a manager and it explains why this store already has such bad reviews. I wish I had looked before. Just got told at this new store that the customer service rep that they are on the phone with troubleshooting this has now also suggested that I just go back to Verizon. At&t sucks a** they have cost me more money since I've switched over to them rather than save me money. They installed my internet, damaging my irrigation costing me $1,400 in repairs. Couldn't fit the entity of our phone call, but here is the most important part! Here's your first warning: DO NOT BUY SERVICES FROM THIS LOCATION. Sad to write this as the salesperson (Luke I believe) was incredibly friendly and helpful (so we thought) until being surprised by some of putting information today. Went into this location on 4/10/2025 for an iPhone upgrade for a promotion currently being ran. Was instructed in store that the Up Next Plan and the Insurance would be added to this new phone plan and that they were "unable to open the line without it," but ensured us it was an easy fix as we just needed to call AT&T customer service within the next 14 days to have both of these removed and ensure we are not billed for these undesired services. To my husband and I's surprise when we contacted AT&T today to be told the exact opposite! We were informed their service department has a block resulting in them not being able to remove the services within 14 days of purchasing the product. Notice the irony? We then called the riverside location and got an employee verifying that when purchasing a phone/line through this particular location, you will be forced to pay for a service that is unwanted, not needed and will be unable to remove it. I had an excellent experience in this store this past spring after my husband passed away. I went in today to close the account for my deceased husband with the death certificate (as ATT Corporate told me to do on the phone) and was told to call ATT - the moment I stepped into the front door. I said, but ATT told me to come to your store and was told again by MARCO - to call ATT. I called ATT. They told me I was correct in taking the death certificate into the store to close the account as the ATT Pin on needed to be reset and I had to do this in-person. I went back to the store and told MARCO, the assistance store manager that I had the death certificate and needed to close my belated husband's account. He said he couldn't do it (because he wasn't making a sale/money off of me) and I had to call ATT. I was upset and frustrated at this point and said look- you were able to put the account on my credit card this spring, so why are you unable to cancel it? He said I would need legal documents to reset the pin. I said I had them. When I showed him the death certificate AND the legal documents - he then told me I had to go to another store because he didn't like my attitude. When I said - all I am doing is trying to close this account and stop paying for it? He kept telling me to have a great day. I told him he had no idea what he was doing. And, he told me to have a great day. In almost 1 year of dealing with the aftermath of my husband's death, I have NEVER had anyone be so arrogant, conceited, and unprofessional. All I was doing- was to stop paying for the account for someone WHO IS DEAD. And, after reading other reviews, I'm not alone in feeling Marco is a terrible representation of ATT - especially when I've been a loyal customer since 2007! read more

Nicky was tied up with other customers so we were helped by Steve until she was done. Steve was great as well. We still were not able to complete everything, due to the issue with Xfinity, and Nicky was so great to follow up with us the next day when we were traveling. Ethernet box took 7 days instead of the predicted "2". Was reassured on the 4th & 6th day that I would have the box that day. After the box came in I called to have a technician come set it up. That expected 2 day wait turned out to be 4. 3-4 hours on the phone, and a 2 day task completed in 13 days. read more

Every time I come into the store the associates pretend to look busy and stare into their tablets. Every question I ask they tell me the answers are on the website and don't even offer to help. My famiy experienced a very unpleasant, unhelpful and extremely rushed experience yesterday evening (3/19/2022) at your store. We walked in barely noticed more as a nusance because it was almost closing time. Crystal called us over from back of the store to walk over if we needed help. As we're speaking to her she's constantly looking at her watch , scoffing and just rushing our questions. We came in looking to replace a lost device natrually theres alot of questions involved. When asked if she could check another stores inventory she simply said " No but you can call." I mentioned she seemed upset and we felt rushed she got extremely defensive and completely lost buisness ettiquite. We both got upset and I mentioned her being rude and her response was " Oh , I can be rude." She then proceeded to walk away mumbling remarks. I then asked for her name or business card she refused and walked away. There was a second employee finishing up with a customer who actually provided the information to me. Crystal is very unprofessional and should be retrained on customer servicd ettiqute. She clearly doesnt understand how to treat customers. Also when management information has been requested its pretty comman company policy to provide said information to the person requesting. She could have provided us the option of scheduling an appointment in order to resolve the time crunch. Or mentioned another location that was open and willing to make a sale. AT&T gave me a good deal last year for cable and internet for 12 months. After the 12 months, my bill went up. I called them to cancel my cable and just keep internet. They said well what if we just keep your bundle price the same and just lower your internet speed by a little. I said ok, I'll keep the cable and internet bundle for the price staying the same. The following month, I noticed my bill was still way over the same price I was promised, then they charged me for not returning equipment when I never cancelled service. Then they had me also pay the higher price for the following month even after I cancelled. My bill was over $500. The escalations department said they no longer prorate. I've had to go in and out of this AT&T retail on Riverside Dr several times, and he never fails to be professional, knowledgeable, and a gentleman. He literally saved me from taking my cell phone service elsewhere. I had one other person help me, and she was nice, but could not help me with my situation at all. I doubt that anyone will think to check Yelp reviews before going to an AT&T store, but just in case, this review is here to let you know this is THE worst AT&T store in the area. Since A&TT (the company) and all their stores are usually pretty bad, this is saying something. Feel free to even just try to call this store up directly. Their line is almost always a busy tone (they're a PHONE company that doesn't have call waiting) or it will try to transfer you to the general AT&T corporate line instead of allowing you to talk to a person at the store. I traded in a perfect iPhone 6s in July for a $300 credit. I thought that $300 seemed like a fair price for the phone, since that is how much they are going for on craigslist, and it was working perfectly/had no cosmetic damage. The $300 credit never showed up on my bill. Here is a list of the excuses AT&T has provided me with so far: -You hadn't actually paid off that old phone and still owed $250 on it (Not true. I paid off the last $75 a month before I came in.) -You were only supposed to get $150 for it. -The $300 was only for accessories/store credit. -You were only supposed to get $100 for it. -When the phone arrived at our facility, it was cracked and they dropped the value to $38. -That amount went to tax on your new phone. -We can't find that you traded in a phone at all. -There's no record that this promotion existed. -We're checking the CCTVs and will get back to you (They never did.) I opened up 2 investigations and one "urgent" investigation with AT&T corporate. Every single time it was shot down without any notice to me that my claim had been rejected, and when I called back, nobody could give me an answer of why the case had been closed or my claim had been rejected. They refuse to make me whole, even though I have been an AT&T customer for close to 15 years. The store manager was rude and dismissive and did not offer to help. I am going later this week to switch to Verizon. I have been seeing articles for years that say Verizon's customer service is better. I only regret not switching sooner. read more

Every time I have to visit this store I leave extremely unhappy. It's not that hard to greet guests and sign them in. I am almost always ignored buy the associates when I am in the store and especially by management. It also feels like you're talking to a brick wall trying to explain whatever issue I'm having. I am not the one to start an issue in the store, but when you're not acknowledging me and you're helping other people instead I seriously cannot help but get frustrated. Writing this review as a warning to people who go in here. I went (less than two months ago, fresh in my memory) in to purchase a new phone that was stolen, the sales associate Jeffrey offered me the insurance that is $8/month. I kept going over the terms with him and he made it seem as though the $8/month covers absolutely anything and that is it. It seemed a little too good to be true so I kept asking about it and he confirmed yes $8 a month and that is it. Because I did not say the word "deductible" or ask about, he did not mention it. I am sure this is what they are trained to do. Sure enough I break my screen two months later and try to make a claim and the is deductible $225 on top of the $8 a month(that does not even go towards the deductible). Also the phone's they replace yours with are refurbished ones that people send in for the insurance. After returning to the store I spoke to the same person and he acted completely different. He was all of a sudden very matter of fact about said deductible, saying "of course insurance would have a deductible" and became very knowledgeable about the deductibles terms and even corrected, to the dollar, the amount that I said I was going to have to pay for the replacement phone. After doing some research online I have found that this is a very common practice and that it is happening all the time. "Because you didn't read the fine print or ask about a deductible" is NOT a relevant response to this situation because when you go into a store and are being "helped" by a representative of the company, they should be helping you understand the full terms of anything they are selling you. Not mentioning deductible's because you don't specifically say that word is completely deceptive. I will be contacting AT&T corporate, the manager of that location, and filing a claim with the better business bureau because they definitely know what they are doing and it is not right. read more

We all have enough reasons to hate this corporate giant, but here's s'more! We walked in with an international guest to get a good pre-paid connection. Of course, the huge store had 5-6 sales representatives "hanging out" and there was no one. Just makes you think, how much profit and money these big companies are making to be able to stand up such a fancy store in downtown, hire so many sales folks in pretty clothes, fancy hairstyles with bunch of ipads. Seemed like a huge waste of energy and shareholder dollars to me. Not to mention, that the store had numerous TVs and displays unnecessarily running where there was no other customer in the store. Now, AT&T already knows that there is no point of buying a connection without data, yet they sell a $30 prepaid plan with just call & text - so that is simply an advertising price point. We were greeted by a young sales guy with an ipad. He offerred us a $45 plan with 2GB data (unlimited talk & text of course) - BUT - its lasts for only 1 month. I asked him, if everything is unlimited, how does my pre-paid balance reduce? He said, it doesnt - its just the price of the plan and you pay again next month. Wow - a prepaid plan that needs a monthly payment - how innovative? Anyways.. we know they are greedy & un-regulated - so in dire need, we bought the plan. Next, the guy took the phone, sim and disappears for about 30 mins. A simple pre-paid connection should not take over 5mins to process and activate. Moreover, he was about to throw away the old sim which was clearly functional, despite us telling him that we were on international travel and will need it again. Thankfully we stopped him from throwing it away. We activated the service and paid $50 (of course tax). We got a bunch of texts, saw LTE symbol and we tried a call - so we thought everything was working. We left the store and it closed. After few minutes we noticed, that data wasn't working - AT ALL. Spent about 2 hrs with customer care and tech support on the phone, with no luck. They just asked us to reset/restart. The best part was customer care, sends us a text - "if your internet connection doesn't work, please go to http://troubleshoot.att.com" - of course, online help for no connection. Genius, thanks AT&T! Later, we googled and figured out that Apple and AT&T have a bug in Iphone-6 to work with prepaid connections, which needs manual entry in AT&t database. We lost entire evening just toubleshooting and could not use the data/connection. Now, this sort of an issue - I would expect the store reps to be experts, preempt, troubleshoot and avoid. Instead, they are just interested in looking pretty and wasting time. Later, next day we just moved the sim into an android phone and it worked. I am not cribbing about technical issues, they happen - I understand that, but the sales rep was clearly just interested in making small talk and didn't check if everything was working before letting us go. Clearly they are just interested in taking our money. We wasted about 3 hrs on this effort and still couldn't use data. Buying and activating a prepaid connection is about a 15min job, even in developing countries. One more disappointing experience goes into the AT&T books. Of course, we are in a oligopoly and telecom companies don't care, they continue to get greedier and more adverse to customer issues. We really need telecom regulation in USA. read more

This is one of the biggest AT&T stores I have seen and nicely setup with the exception of the entrance. The entrance is a mini maze. Pretty cool displays to view. I worked with Heather the sales associate to look into the unlimited data plan and also ask some questions regarding my new Direct TV service. They told me about everything else AT&T has to offer as well like Digital Life and even showed me the app via the phone. Looks cool but still a bit pricey in my mind. They did have a deal with Direct TV customers going on right now. Mike the manager was questioned about my Direct TV question since he is a Direct TV customer as well. He had some what of an answer but still was going to check and verify, then get back in touch with me about my question. Now that I like. There was no guessing going on and they were pretty straight forward with. I still have Digital Life on the back of mind but I am waiting for that great special again to come out. Patience is what I keep telling myself. Plenty of places to sit down and wait if had to. I never been to an AT&T store that had plenty of comfortable seating to wait. read more

He was super knowledgable and provided me with several options, as to how to each address problem. I was there for about 40 minutes and left with all of my issues resolved! read more

I stopped by the riverside location to pay my bill in cash at the kiosk inside, however when I checked my account 2 days later, my payment never went though. I stopped by immediately to find out what was going on. To my surprise, and everyone's there, I paid someone else's bill by accident, hitting the PAY AND GO button instead of putting in my pin code (harsh lesson learned). Opie took the time to check the kiosks' time stamps, payments, and numbers of customers to confirm it was me that paid $120 in cash. I then had to call the customer service to inform them of what was going on after he updated my account since it only the customer service can transfer the money back to my account. I spent almost an hour on the phone with them, but Opie and Jeremy (I think) kept me in conversation and entertained the whole time. After spending almost 2 HOURS in the AT&T store because of my mistake, I can actually say the whole experience was quite pleasant and worked itself out! I had dealt with an authorized retailer that completely took advantage of my ignorance and Kenny was able to rectify the situation and correct all the damage that had been done.
