I found my current phone of 2 years wouldn't download an app that I needed. Ola was the customer service person at the counter, helping a woman with her account. She couldn't remember passwords, and Ola very patiently helped her retrieve her information. I was next in line and proceeded to tell Ola my issue. He looked at my phone, consulted a computer, and revealed that the app in question wouldn't be supported on my 4G phone. I decided to purchase a new phone. He did his magic to have the apps and information on my old phone to transfer to my new phone. He said I could leave as long as I have the two phones close to one another. I decided to stay to make sure the new app would transfer, which was about 45 minutes. While I was there, I observed customers coming in to purchase a phone plan, another wanting to pay his bill, and another coming in to make several inquiries. Ola was above and beyond patient, calm, and helpful. He checked with me several times to make sure my phones were transferring properly. I salute Ola as a stellar employee. I can see his being very successful in whatever career path he chooses. I also commend those who raised him. I rarely write reviews, but I was so impressed with Ola.

Now I know what you are thinking, I didn't have a choice of locations. I did. Three years ago for a different phone, they took care of me. With that said, I am happy to say this was my second satisfied experience. This location is north of HYW494 in a court of shops, businesses, and restaurants on Lyndale Avenue. My phone is complicated, so normally these questions are asked. Did you drop your phone? No. Was it dropped in a liquid? No. Was there anything you did to break your phone? No. It was simple, my screen cracked about 1 inch from the bottom of the fold of the phone. After filing my claim and taking it to be fixed, the uBreakiFix team confirmed the status of my phone and said this would be taken care of. I know this was a long-winded story to make sure John and Christian (uBreakiFix experts) are taken care of. Because of them, my experience was spectacular. They were kind, patient, thorough, experienced, etc. Also, they sent me a personal text with the status of my phone and when it was fixed. When I arrived to pick up my phone, they were happy to see me and explained what they did to fix my screen. I know this sounds unreal. Why would they show so much care? I don't know. I was hesitant but thought since it was in the ghetto, people probably take off without paying so I went ahead and paid with cash. After an hour of watching him struggle with my phone, he hands me my phone and I leave. I get in my car and nothing worked. I go back in and the tech acted surprised to see me. By this point, I was upset so I just told him to get it fixed and I went back to wait in my car. About 20 minutes later he came out to my car. I had my window down from smoking a cigarette and he hands me my phone and said, "it's fixed." I tell him to wait while I examine my phone and of course, nothing worked. I hand him the phone again and he went back inside. 30 minutes later he comes out and tells me he needs more time to fix my phone and asked me to return tomorrow afternoon. I said no, just give me my phone and I'll take it somewhere else. He pleaded with me and said his manager was on his way over to help him fix my phone and promised me that the phone would be fixed by 7:30 PM the latest. BIG MISTAKE! I arrived back at the shop at 7:25. As I entered the store i can see that the manager has another phone screen attached to my red iPhone. He tells me that the home button is broken and they are attempting to somehow install the digital home screen button on my phone. Confused and at a lost for words, I asked why are you doing that? Just fix it. The manager, a Nigerian dude proceeded to tell me he cannot fix the broken home button that I broke and I stopped him and told him, No. My phone was working just fine when I brought it in. I told him to put my phone back together and return my money. He got aggressive and said I was not getting a refund after all the time they spent on my phone. I laughted and told him he was crazy because I brought in a working phone and i am not leaving with a broken phone. He then got out from behind the service stand and tried to fight me. I didn't have any way to call for help so I went outside and stopped a lady walking by to call the police for me and the manager ran up and locked the doors. With all the ICE protesting happening, the police never showed up so I drove to the police station and filed a theft report. See you in court.

Somewhere in the middle of that, my service was cancelled. So now I not only don't have a phone, but I can't get a refund on my payment. The lady that waited on me this morning promised that she would call me back as soon as she heard back from customer service (who said they would call back within an hour). No phone call. And when I called the store, I was told she had left for the day. Totally unprofessional and they don't appear to want to help their customers. I am angry, I have no phone, and they don't want to give me my $50 back. Would never go back there again, nor would I EVER recommend Boost Mobile to anyone.

But before I could say sign me up, he said he had a deal whereby I could get my phone for free. A "savings" of $149.99. Well, "Hook me up" I said. So, he performed his magic and in about an hour, I had the phone I wanted and my plan out the door. All for $147.75. Or so I thought. What he actually did was falsify a phone number so he could "port" me in as a customer of Metro PCS switching to Boost. Then he put me on a "Family Plan" (which I didn`t order) for $44.00 more per month than the plan I thought I had signed up for. Plus $7.00 per month per phone for insurance on two phones (which I didn`t order). I never received any 2nd phone, though I was assigned a phone number for it. Since I was there during work hours, I hustled back to work where, as I was setting up my new phone, I discovered what had actually happened. I returned to the store immediately and asked the "Manager" about making things right and his attitude was that I was ungrateful for the wonderful thing he had done for me in giving me a free phone. And that I was being unreasonable in asking for what I had ordered. All this in spite of the fact that he sold me something I had not requested and, to top it off, he didn`t even give me what he had sold me. So, I am out $147.75. Boost Mobile has lost a RETURNING customer. And I am strongly recommending that NO ONE do business with the thieves at this location or any of the other locations (including Metro PCS) run by this retailer and his brother as it turns out. This review is being posted everywhere I can post it. Including the Boost Mobile Corporate sites.
