Instead, they: Suspended my line so I couldn't even call for help Forced me to pay $732.33 just to unlock access to support Ignored 6+ requests for employee IDs Told me "we can't help you until you pay," then refused a refund after payment Called my police report a "civil matter" and used it as the reason to deny my fraud claim Lied about escalation pathways, refused to issue a case number, and closed chats without resolution Sent me a discount offer to restore service for others -- but not me Claimed "your service appears to be on" even when I sent screenshots proving it wasn't They had the audacity to ask me when the hotspot was stolen after I had already provided the report multiple times. They violated their own terms, blocked access to fraud reporting, and now want me to pay an additional $1,339.87 to "move forward." I've filed with the FCC, CFPB, BBB, CPUC, and the California Attorney General, and I strongly encourage everyone else dealing with this company's negligence to do the same. DO NOT TRUST AT&T. The service was great, but I waited for over an hour to finally speak with someone. When you walk in, you enter your name and it tells you how many people are in front of you. I had five in front of me and waited about 90 minutes to eventually sign up for AT&T Internet service. David assisted me when I was there and he was fantastic. read more

Untrained staff, worst service, totally dysfunctional group. They ignore customers while two or three will stand in a little group and chat while customers are waiting. Strangely limited in what they can do at this store. Sold me package deal with internet, home phone (VOIP), cell phones, streaming, but can't cancel service or modify it, even after contract expired. Service was poor - 5G with unlimited data, but throttles down to unusable after 20 gigabytes used ( not much for 5 phones). Then AT&T is like dealing with the federal government. Very difficult to get straight answers from anyone. They had 2 different redundant installation crews working simultaneously initially. Then subcontractors did different parts of home install for fiberoptic, such as burying the cable, etc. Very confusing. During my visit, I had an awesome experience at AT&T with Niya. She was fast & efficient with getting me all set up with my new iPhone 13 Pro. I arrived & was instantly greeted with great customer service. HOWEVER, when I attempted to get internet service added to my account, the havoc began! Unfortunately, Niya was presented with an obstacle. (Not her fault.) I recently moved into my new apartment. The previous tenant did not pay their AT&T internet bill (is what was explained to me). This made it difficult for Niya to get me all set up with AT&T internet under my actual address. So, another gentleman/employee told Niya to input a different address (apartment unit) than what my apartment unit actually is. THIS has caused me such an INCONVENIENCE & DELAY in internet service. It's been quite frustrating. I really appreciate Niya & her team trying to hurry & get me into internet service. However, the gentleman, whom was sent out by AT&T, was UNABLE to install my internet due to the wrong address. I had to invest quite a bit of time (over 10 hours collectively) on the phone with AT&T Customer Service, on different days, explaining to them the issue, several times. ‍ They EVENTUALLY sent me a self set up box of Wi-Fi equipment several days later. Now that the equipment has arrived, I'm STILL having issues with set up, differing internet account numbers, and the AT&T wifi "Smart Home Manager" App-- all issues stemming from having the wrong address reported by this AT&T store at the initial internet purchase. ‍ Issues of which I've had to spend more time in various Customer Service chats & phone calls trying to get this issue resolved. In conclusion, this team was otherwise AWESOME, especially Niya, who has a great personality & was very professional. However, do NOT let an AT&T employee set your internet up under an incorrect address. It will do the very opposite of expediting your service! AT&T, please keep your customer's time & stress levels in mind next time. Please train your employees to handle these kinds of issues without causing customers inconvenience at later dates, just for a quick sell. End of the day, Meaghan - the manager - did what no one else could, including 2 AT&T reps I had spoken with via the customer service hot line. And I walked out very happy. Because of Meaghan, I will return to this store location when purchasing a new phone. I know that if there's an issue, she will be able to resolve it. I was trying to cancel service at a house we had sold. Not transfer; simply cancel. The account was in my mom's name, and we were missing an account password. There was some confusion when I arrived at the store as personnel told me only a manager could help me; she wasn't there and they were unsure when she would be there. I left and returned. When she did arrive, I could see the reps almost try to "hide" her from me (?) but she was not having it. She came right over, I explained my situation and in less than 2 minutes the service was cancelled. I would give 5 stars for her alone, except for the actions of the staff, especially with regard to knowing management's schedule. read more

My husband lost his phone and I needed to get a new one, upgrade his plan to unlimited and start an insurance claim for my cracked iPhone (I have the protection plan). Who are these people?!?!? After "the letter" notification went out everyone needs to upgrade your phone to make a phone call from AT&T, my friend purchased another phone online that was compatible. Three trips to this store and a missing SIM card later, my friend STILL has no cellular service. The phone works fine with my SIM card (I called my sister on the new phone with my SIM) but she got a dud SIM card. Maybe because she didn't purchase the phone from AT&T or maybe they are not really concerned about keeping customers at the Central Expressway location. read more

I was excited today to get my iPhone 13 max set up with a trade-in of my iPhone X. Karlin was knowledgeable, patient, and conversational. There were many moving parts of my visit today: new case and screen protector, activating my new phone, and downloading backed up data from the cloud. Even though the process is tedious and he may have done this a couple times, Karlin remained professional and helpful, which made my store visit more enjoyable rather than a chore. The screen protector task was very delicate, involving tape to dab off the dust, wipe to get rid of hand oils, and carefully layering the protector on top. It was a difficult task that he handled very well. If I need any other assistance, I will definitely come back here and work with him! read more

Boy I wish I had read these reviews before engaging in business with AT&T and especially with this store. And also the store at 5618 East Mockingbird. I left the Park Ln/75 store today with no phone service and in tears. I signed up for AT&T internet when they knocked on my door. That's another story in itself needless to say I'm paying more than what I was quoted for that service. The day of internet install a so called customer service rep shows up supposedly to see if I was satisfied with everything, turns out it was just a sales call to get me to switch phone and tv. I ordered two phones and later found out I was told a bunch of lies when I got my invoice by email. I did not get the rewards visa gift cards as promised, the monthly rates that I was quoted was a lie, and they wanted me to literally trade in a IPhone 12 and make monthly payments of over $200 to get an upgrade IPhone 14. I was told the i phone 13 phones would be free for switching providers and if I upgrade phone to 14 instead of 13 it would be $25 per month for the upgrade not $200+ per month. Which was beyond ridiculous for a 3 year contract. I brought the phones in the store today and the first thing I said was I want to verify what the salesperson that came to my home promised is actually the truth. When I walked in the store - The phones were not activated. I had not agreed to terms and conditions. The phones were still in unopened boxes that I had for one day. The lines were in reserved mode and had not been activated. They phones were not listed in my AT&T accounts. Next thing I know - I was told they had just activated the new unopened- still in boxes phones. What why? When I told you that if I was not going to get what the rep that came to my house promised. Oh yes and my old phone service was turned off, and the service to my old provider was disconnected- and that account was closed. My old account that I had for 15 years with Sprint/TMobile closed down and my old phone numbers had been released. I was told that standing in middle of store. Left standing in store I was told to go home and call and get everything straightened out. How am I supposed to call -I don't have a phone to use? Why did you activate phones I clearly said I wanted to return since I had been lied to. I was offered no help. I asked for help multiple times. The young man did finally offer me the store phone to use and then everyone stood around no help- even when it was clear the young man Juan on his name tag did not know how to correct the error on their part. The lady that he originally asked to help him and who did this disappeared into the back. I stood in the store for two hours begging for help literally not an figuratively with multiple managers and the district manager there. No one offer to help, business as usual. The lady who activated the phone disappeared for an hour. No apology , no offer to help - very dismissive. I was told go TMobile store and see if they can help me. Lady who did this came from the back and setup the mobile device on myAT&T - so that she could get a transfer pin and she gave me my account number for the mobile phone. An hour and half later. I lost my 15 year account history with TMobile, lost my grandfathered rates and plans and I had to beg for them to call tech support to get my old numbers that that I have had forever that were in the wild to be reassigned. This took up my whole Saturday. I will tell anyone I know don't let AT&T sell you anything at your door - I normally don't buy from solicitors but they were already at my house installing internet and I was in a market for an upgrade on my phone at a fair price of course. Also the stores are not for customer service, they are for making sales. The guy at the Mockingbird store told me they told have wifi in his stores so he could not help me. I went their first and he recommended that I go to Park Lane and 75 Store. This is my first stop for leaving a review I will be posting others next I will be contacting corporate directly. Joseph was out standing on his attention to detail on helping out with my account and managing his team with in the store. Joseph is on track in my opinion to climb up the latter with in this company, his positive direction for his team. Had a bit of a wait, but well worth it, the team was handing all of the customers that entered the store with great ease as it would appear to the normal customer. Nice job Joseph, your interaction with your team and handling my account was top notch! Late in setting up my account, it was turned over to a fellow team mate, do not recall her name, but she followed up and closed the setup of my account with full success and very pleasant to boot. Okay, so, sit back and let me tell you a story about crappy customer service. I go in on a Saturday to buy a new phone because the one I've had for almost 6 years has finally bit the dust. A saleswoman named Amy Jones (full title The Magically Disappearing Amy Jones, although I didn't know it at the time) showed me some phones I might be interested in. When I finally settled on a pretty red one (comparing colors is also the method I use to pick football teams to cheer for), she went back to the storeroom to get it. She shortly re-emerged to say that they were out of the red color, but the black was in stock, and I could take it for now and then come back in two weeks to trade it for the red one. I was VERY careful to make sure that there would be no extra charges for this; she assured me it would be a piece of cake. A free piece of cake. A la mode. It sounded wonderful. She EVEN gave me her business card and wrote her private cell phone on it. She promised (multiple times, because I didn't believe her and made her repeat it multiple times) that she would call me the minute the red ones were in stock. So, I leave the store with a substantially lighter wallet and a phone I don't really want...but happy anyway because I know I'll be getting the right one in two weeks, no strings attached. Life lesson: if it sounds too good to be true, it is. Two weeks go by -- no phone call. I start calling The Magically Disappearing Amy Jones on her private cell number. I leave messages. My calls are never returned. Finally, I call the store and ask if they've gotten any of the red ones in stock. Oh, of course they have, weeks ago. Great. I drop everything and book it to the store since I have a very narrow timeframe for replacing the phone free of charge, and I don't want them to run out again. It's a Thursday. There's hardly anyone in the store. No one greets me when I walk in, so I put my name on the automated wait list. Around that time, two employees wander over to the front of the store (near where I'm standing) and start chatting with each other. I walk up to them and ask if they're free to help me. "No, we're in charge of the front of the store right now." Um. Wow. Okay. See, cuz it looked like you were just chatting with each other and totally ignoring everyone who walks in, just like you ignored me. And you know, is the store REALLY that busy in the middle of a Thursday afternoon that they need TWO employees greeting people? (Answer: no.) Whatever. I start playing games on one of the display phones until my name finally reaches the top of the wait list and someone comes over to help me. I explain my situation. He goes to get the red phone. "That'll be a $20 restocking fee." As Will Smith would say, awww HELL NO. Of course, The Magically Disappearing Amy Jones is nowhere to be found and is not answering her phone; the employee helping me today hasn't even heard of her. He says it doesn't matter anyway because there's no way she could have promised me to switch out a phone for free; apparently the $20 fee is in the fine print on the back of the receipt. I'm so annoyed at this point by the crappy customer service that I just want to get out of there. I pay the $20, take my new phone, and drive across 75 to the Northpark food court for a therapeutic cherry limeade at Sonic. And then my new phone rings. It's not anyone from my address book. I answer it (only then remembering that curiosity killed the cat). "Hi, Anne? This is QueenBitch at AT&T [can't you hear it in my voice?]. When StupidEmployee was helping you, he accidentally put your old phone back in the box with the new one. We need you to bring it back to the store sometime today." AWWW HELL NO. I haven't even gotten my limeade yet. In fact, I've just barely found a parking spot and made it through the doors at Northpark. I am so pissed, I seriously contemplate stealing that second phone. Then I remember they know how to track me down, so reason prevails and I -- grumblingly -- turn around, go back outside, walk all the way back to my car, and prepare to head back to the AT&T store. Before I give up my parking spot, however, I open the box to check for the phone. I don't remember the guy putting the old one back in there. Sure enough, he didn't. Now I am REALLY pissed. I call the lady back. I tell her there is no such phone in the box. She puts me on hold. Then she comes back and apologizes, saying that there was a mistake in the inventory. I miraculously refrain from biting her head off. I get BACK out of my car. I go BACK inside Northpark. I order my cherry limeade, Mammoth-Size. I shop for voodoo dolls. read more

Wow...I'm on my way to the pharmacy to get some blood pressure medication for my newly acquired high blood pressure thanks to this store. I've bought my last 4 new iPhones for our account from this store, but I missed the 14 day return policy to return an unused case that they hard-sold us on but which my son didn't actually want. Were they understanding? I mean I've only been an AT&T customer for 13 years, and had Uverse for something like 6 years. I guess none of that means shit so they basically told me to F off with a smile on their face. Seriously? I was inside one month on the return but hell, the policy is 14 days, and "they won't let us do anything about that". Deep breath...at least my immediate call to AT&T's customer service line and a REASONABLE human being got me a bill credit for the $54 the case cost and solved my problem, but if you go here be prepared for a hard sell on the phone case and a glass screen cover so decide in advance if you want it or be prepared to return that stuff stat if you don't. Whew...I feel better venting but what a bunch of inflexible smiling A holes they have who don't give a damn about customer service. Maybe I'm being a petulant jerk myself- they have a policy and it is what it is. I frequently wish that AT&T was a physical entity; something with substance and a face so that I could punch it in said face. I would have switched to Verizon, or T-Mobile, or even Sprint a long time ago, but there's always been some issue such as lack of coverage where I reside, or the fact that everyone uses AT&T and I'm going to run out of day-time minutes talking to friends if I was to switch to another network. So for now, I'm just another lemming (at least I'm not a "constantly running off to buy the newest iPhone" lemming) stuck with this horrible company while I wonder if I would really run out of minutes that quickly if I switch over to Verizon. Went to the Park Lane store this morning after being sent here by Asurion. I was greeted promptly by an employee. Unfortunately I didn't get his name. After explaining that I was there to get my screen fixed, he went to the back to find the technician. He then stated that the technician was not there and he had no idea where he was, and when he would be at work. He confirmed that technicians do work Monday through Sunday. So I guess the technician has gone rogue and can show up to work whenever they please without consequence. He seemed like he couldn't care less, so this must be a common occurrence here. He had no other information to provide other than he's not here and there's nothing that can be done. Clearly the reviews about horrible customer service are true. I guess employees don't have to show up to work and customer service is not a priority at this location. Do yourself a favor and do not select this location when dealing with Asurion. I had the joy of my BlackBerry Bold crashing on Saturday morning. Never mind that I am now on phone tres (that's three in Spanish)...I have to say I had a pretty pleasant experience at this store. For one, I haven't been here in years and they have expanded the store. Whoa nelly that place is hug now. As soon as I walked in there were several employees at the door, and one of them helped me immediately. This was not my first BlackBerry rodeo so I knew the drill, and knew there was probably nothing the store could do for me other than look up my warranty. Thankfully I was still covered! He printed a receipt for me to take down the street to get my replacement phone (or I could have called the warranty center to mail a new phone), and sent me on my way. I'm really shocked at the reviews of this place. However, I am not one Of those people who have a good experience and decide to bash everyone else that said something bad. I really don't care that much, I dont have stock or ownership in AT&T,and People who do this look suspicious as if they actually work for the company. Also, in a environment like this, the sales rep that's working with you can definitely make or break your experience. And I can only speak on the person that I worked with. But anyway, I personally had an awesome experience at this store yesterday working with Jada. She took the time to explain everything. And I even got set up with directv. At&t Customers get $15 off Whatever package they choose. So now I pay $20 a month for the most basic directv package that they have after the $15 discount. I think that's a great deal. Now I can record and watch Current live TV shows. Prior to this all I had was a fire stick, Netflix and movies on Amazon. And she told me I can contact her if I decided to use AT&T for Internet in the future. She was does very friendly, made small talk and helped buying a phone to be a good experience. I went in last week to trade 12 Pro Max for 15 Pro Max and receive $1,000 in bill credits. The representative greeted with a less than welcoming look on his face and snacking on some chips. He looked at my phone and his I-pad and said $830. I said that doesn't seem right let me look up on my phone. He said I work here I know what it is. I went across the street to store in North Park Center. Oh, they closed that store. I called AT&T corporate, they said $1,000. I went to AT&T website and put in my serial#. It said $1,000. I went back to store with this information. Unfortunately got the same representative. He said not at this store you only get $830. I left and called corporate to get another location. I went to Preston and Royal store where I was greeted professionally and confirmed the $1,000 bill credit trade in. I got the 15 Pro Max with all data transferred and a few accessories....... It is baffling to me that AT&T spends a Gazillion $$$ on Advertising, Sponsorships, Stadium Naming rights etc yet when it gets down to the direct customer contact they allow this store 9100 N Central Expy to exist. read more
