I am using the AT&T store located in 755 State Highway 18 South, Space 420, East Brunswick, NJ 08816 for over 15 years. I befriended employees in this store. They very friendly, knowledgeable and always ready to help people with any problems with the phones and/or any other equipment and accessories. There are two people most helpful: one is Trevor, who I know for a very long time, and store manager Tyler. Saturday 3/19/22 i went in around 4:15pm. The store was empty and I was looking to upgrade my phone. We started the process with the Manager Daryl and a nice young lady whos name i didnt get. It. Took almost a 1hr and 1/2 to get my new phone activated and was told its bc the store was having issues with there setup devices. At 540pm when i finally left i didnt get 2 lights away when i the phone starts notifying me that there is no sim card or network detected. I turned around and went right back. The 2 people who helped me were gone but there was another guy there who saw me there b4 i explained the situation and said right away there was a issue with the sim card and they should call the mgr. His response is he wasnt gonna waste anyones time. Then proceeds to go get involved with another worker who has his own customer and just ignoring me telling me i will have to just wait. I have already waited over a hr and 1/2 i had my 2 children with me and my husband and now its past dinner time. I said i already waited and this was the companys oversight and i should be seen right away. He hands me my old phone that is now disconnected and the new one that is broken and tells my husband to wait until 8pm so he can fight him in the parking lot. Needless to say that didnt go well. The manager finally showed back up at 650pm and GUESS WHAT he just never bothered to put in the sim card and it turned out to be defective anyway so i needed a complete new one. The other work who the manager refused to give me his first name continued to threaten my husband even when the manager asked him to stop. I have been a customer for 18+years. NEVER have i received such service or had it take 4 hours to get a phone. I will be contacting corporate as well. The tall, heavy set, light skin , african American man was the one who wanted to fight my husband and continued to disrespect me. I had to have my brother come just to take the kids out of the situation. So disrespected and disappointed. NO ONE DESERVES treatment like that. Updating from my last experience at the store which was wayyyy better!! 1. Paul the manager called me & texted me to apologize about my experience even though it was totally my fault-- did not read the return policy - 15 days not 30. Lol 2 Paul was so nice & he put a cover on my new phone, gave me a phone case... wait on it..... went to the back & got me a body super super case ALL for FREE!! 3 I would definitely recommend this store for future purchases & for me EDUcation.. He schooled me in a nice way. 4 Shahad was also really nice & helpful and let's not forget how sweet Lauren was!! 5 Overall a great team & great customer service read more

Anu was awesome . She really took care of us even during these rough times . The central AT&T network was experiencing issues processing us for a new activation and she stuck it out and was very calm, polite and made this work despite they themselves having system access issues. She also got in their ass cuz rep after rep couldn't give specific details . We even stayed after closing . read more

This is the worst store. Every time I go in, it's packed which would be fine if somebody acknowledged my existence. In addition I just stood there for a half an hour before somebody decided to sign me in only to find out I just needed to call. It's so simple to ask customers to summarize what they need so that you can let them know whether or not they're wasting their time. AT&T always had a crappy rep. We had a problem with wi-fi on an iPhone, an Apple bug not a problem with our service, and we came in to switch phone numbers between phones and Laurie was just a wonderful help. She had a great depth of knowledge of store products and promotions and helped us to learn what options we had. We had some quirky requests and she took them in stride and was able to find creative options to give us some awesome solutions. She was very friendly and was an excellent person to interact with. If everyone talked to her before getting a new phone or service then everyone would be AT&T customers forever! read more

This is the worst store for customer service! We purchased phones under a BOGO offer in June 2019. We contacted the sales person the next day to advise that our receipt did not have both phones entered as BOGO. We were told this could take 2 billing cycles to be reflected. Four months and many texts and phone calls later and this still has not been corrected. I do not believe the manager exists since he is never in the store when we go and has never returned phone calls. We were finally told last week that the paperwork to correct this was being filed. As of today we still have not received the credit or any contact from the store. This location does not stand by their promises. The salesperson was nice enough when selling us the phones but when there was a problem, she avoided it like the plague. When i confronted her in the store recently she said she made "management" aware of the situation and had been waiting for them to do something. 4 months waiting for management??? I have no trust in this location. Had the salesperson taken the time to listen to us 4 months ago we would not be having this problem now. This is the worst cell phone store I ever came across. The Salesman as well as the manager are totally unmindful of the customer's needs. I went to this store last week asking for help in transporting my Verizon phone to the new At&T phone as the At&T customer support told me to do this at a local store so that thay can verify if the Verizon phone is genuine and do the transfer. But when I reached there, the salesman was saying that what the customer support told me was not correct and that Verizon phone numbers cannot be transported to AT&T. I came to know that what he told me was a total lie because I went another store in the same street and got the number transported. I am not sure why he will tell a lie to me. During that time there were no other customers also. I think they just wanted to pass the time without doing any work. read more

This store is really good with service. My salesperson gave me a new new sim card for free, when in other stores, they said it was not possible. A few months later when I needed a new phone, the same employee sold me a phone for discounted price. read more

Horrible experience !! The Chinese employee and the black manager (I don't remember their name) were the most unhelpful AT&T employees ever . I wanted to get on my sons family plan and went ther 3 times as an authorized user of my sons account and they still wouldn't let me get on the plan. 2 times my son called AT&T customer service requesting that I be put on the account as an authorized user so that I could go to the store and get put on the plan and they did but not to the satisfaction of these two moronic employees. AT&T should be happy that they are getting extra more money paying customers but not these idiots. If I was their general manager I would fire them in a heartbeat. read more

A friend of mine was at the mall shopping the other day, when her AT&T iPhone got stuck and pretty much just stopped working. She went into the AT&T store to ask them for help, and they pretty much blew her off and told her that she would have to go to an Apple store for help. Fortunately, she stopped at a kiosk that was selling protector screens for iPhones and the guy there was able to reset her phone for free. Shame on you AT&T!!! This was a 30 second fix, but they would not even speak to her. read more

The retail associate, Dell, that I dealt with at this AT&T location was incompetent and lazy! Instead of investigating my account further, he prematurely decided to write me off as trying to pull a fraudulent transaction. I spoke with business care and they took a look at my account and could not see why this retail associate would deem my addition of a line to our family plan as fraudulent. The business care rep stated that it could have been because the retail associate did not fully log out of the prior person's account before logging into mine. I tried to clear this misunderstanding with the store manager, Kim or Kimya, and she informed me that Dell already called her about this the previous night. Not only did she not want to hear what I had to say, she pretty much cut me off then proceeded to hang up after smugly saying "Thank you, have a nice day" in a sarcastic tone. Needless to say, this store manager was VERY unprofessional and was not objective at all in the matter. I thought that if you work in retail, you need to have a certain level of professionalism and kindness to customers. I guess they didn't receive this memo. Go to the AT&T in East Brunswick Mall instead. The representatives are much more friendly and helpful! A tip to everyone out there, if you don't like your job, get the necessary education to be able to obtain one that you actually like. Then maybe, valuable customers wouldn't have to experience this lack of professionalism from retail workers. read more
