So anyways, I've been to the store probably about eight times and I have been with other people a few of those times and none of us have ever been told. There was a membership that you had to have. I do remember stopping as I walked in and even asking lady like is it OK to go through and she said oh yeah nobody's ever asked me for a card nobody's ever seen anything about a membership. Tonight when I was with my grandson, the gate thing was locked and I looked at the lady who was working there and she said oh I need your membership card and I was like oh I didn't know that you needed a membership . It was no big deal to me, but I was just like surprised. Anyway, she came back with a really rude Answer telling me it's all my fault, and I need to pay attention and all this . So I ended up leaving the store and then there was a guy that was walking in the store that saw her. She talked to me. He ended up leaving the store too. He was like oh I didn't even know there was a membership I've been here a ton of times . So here's the thing I looked it up and I was shocked to find it was only a five dollar membership . If the lady would've just been like oh yeah, it's only five dollars to join in a nice tone instead of saying well it's your fault you didn't pay attention to the sign on the gate in a really rude, crappy tone, I would have just been like oh yeah, sure I'll pay the five dollars no big deal. But now, because of the way that we were treated, I will never be back to the store. I mean it's not like it's easy to get you anyways for those of us who don't drive. I had a decent sized shopping list but walked out with only some yarn and if I could have gotten those colors elsewhere in ellensburg I'd have put them back and spent NO money there!!!

Talk with the salesman who is the only person who is genuine in this experience and he sells us on a Maytag for $2700 and have installed same day. Long story short, the water line was not installed properly and leaked massive amount of water behind the drywall, under the wood floor and heavily saturated the carpet and the owner is hesitant to do anything about it. He gives me "this happened at our house and everything was fine, I've been around a long time and have had my own experiences" BS. He send over fans and a carpet cleaner.......4 days later.......i have known the Shaws a long time and when it wasn't the sons running it was a great business. Instead I get "what do you want me to do?" Ummmmm. If you have had so many experiences you should know what to do. Instead I had to tell him to send someone other then an employee "contractor or someone in construction field" to take care of it. Kudos to the salesman, the only asset at Shaws. Otherwise stay clear of this place. The only and last thing we buy from this establishment.

It's a hardware store and we stopped because we actually needed some things but it's worth just looking around. Taxidermy and odd artifacts from the surrounding area are all hanging from the ceiling. The back wall is full of pennants and photos from rodeo activities. You are asked if you need any help but never by being pushy, they just want to help. I'm from Maine and this place reminded me of "husseys" where you can get guns, wedding gowns and cold beer. True value also sells what you would wear working a rodeo. Such a cool place. So much more interesting than the trips to Home Depot that we've been doing as we work on our sprinter van.
