So I think they need to put up a big $5 membership in the front of the store and as you walk in. There's some writing on some little door that is like a gate as you walk in, but I never paid attention to it because I have ADD and I don't usually pay attention to that kind of stuff. So anyways, I've been to the store probably about eight times and I have been with other people a few of those times and none of us have ever been told. There was a membership that you had to have. I do remember stopping as I walked in and even asking lady like is it OK to go through and she said oh yeah nobody's ever asked me for a card nobody's ever seen anything about a membership. Tonight when I was with my grandson, the gate thing was locked and I looked at the lady who was working there and she said oh I need your membership card and I was like oh I didn't know that you needed a membership . It was no big deal to me, but I was just like surprised. Anyway, she came back with a really rude Answer telling me it's all my fault, and I need to pay attention and all this . So I ended up leaving the store and then there was a guy that was walking in the store that saw her. She talked to me. He ended up leaving the store too. He was like oh I didn't even know there was a membership I've been here a ton of times . So here's the thing I looked it up and I was shocked to find it was only a five dollar membership . If the lady would've just been like oh yeah, it's only five dollars to join in a nice tone instead of saying well it's your fault you didn't pay attention to the sign on the gate in a really rude, crappy tone, I would have just been like oh yeah, sure I'll pay the five dollars no big deal. But now, because of the way that we were treated, I will never be back to the store. I mean it's not like it's easy to get you anyways for those of us who don't drive. But I just think the person they put at the front should be nicer because I wasn't rude to her at all. I was not at all disrespectful. And I think that they need to be a big $5 as you walk into the store and maybe right as you enter in the sliding doors just to keep people's attention. I generally love shopping at Bimart but... 3 days after Christmas and they are pulling all their winter items or not going to order more. in Cle Elum we still have 3 or 4 months of winter. also today every isle I tried getting down to get items had an employee pulling items and putting out new which is great but..none of them would let you get past them to get an item. if I can't get to an item I'm not gonna spend that money there. at one point I backed up and went over an isle to come up the other isle, by the time I got there the employ had moved her cart to that end and again would not let me by.. the same happened with multiple employees in multiple isles. I had a decent sized shopping list but walked out with only some yarn and if I could have gotten those colors elsewhere in ellensburg I'd have put them back and spent NO money there!!! read more

They've got a small selection of a large amount of items is the best way to put it, they don't have huge isles of stuff but they pack a lot of value into the store! Only place to get anything Embroidery related in town, they have a small selection of hoops and a decent thread section (Not DMC) next to the yarn and other crafting supplies. 4/5 stars for the few times I have been turned away for not having my member card or having to purchase a new one, a small nuisance that's all! read more

I have a huge soft spot for Bimart. First off, it's employee-owned and that's just cool. Second, it's significantly cheaper than other hardware and/or big-box stores. The selection and pricing does seem to be costco-like in that there are large display pallets of mostly cheap stuff. Finally, the product mix is pretty country; it's where I get my canning jars, sand paper, veggie starts, etc. The biggest downsides are that the quality is definitely buyer-beware and the selection varies as they seem to be pushing products which they found a massive deal on; but for me, that just makes it all that much more fun, like a flea market where everything's imported. For some reason and to my wife's dismay, I just really enjoy going here. read more

This store is a local favorite. Another establishment that can be judged by how many people frequent it. It is a membership store but the cost is really low. The prices are good as you might expect for a "Wal-Mart" type of store on a smaller scale. read more

Need a watch band? Don't go to Bi-Mart. I took a dive watch to this place to get new band and they dropped the watch on the concrete floor, directly on the crystal face. With not so much as an apology, the girl picked up the watch, and began looking for the wrong watch band size again although I tried to let her know that I needed a 22mm not an 18mm band. She ignored me. When I finally got frustrated with her lack of apolgoy for dropping my expensive dive watch I told her to stop helping me and was leaving. It was then that she apologized for the first time. With so many people needing work these days why can't common sense effect managements decision for hiring at Bi-Mart and them hire competent people. There was no reason for this incident to have occured and moreso no reason for ignoring what happened and not offer an apology. read more

Well Bimart has always been fairly priced, their customer service is above average. They have so many random things that you never know if they have what you want or not, so go in and check it out! The store itself is clean, the people are friendly, cant ask for much more! read more
