I've been with AT&T for over five years now, and I have mixed feelings about their service. First, I'll start by saying that AT&T is somewhat expensive compared to its competitors. What's advertised and what you actually pay--with all the hidden costs and fees--are two completely different things. With the loyalty and thousands of dollars they've received from me, I would expect top-notch service. Unfortunately, not all of their employees are cross-trained properly on certain issues or policies, which can be frustrating when they bounce you from store to store or between phone support agents. Overall, I'd say I'm disappointed with the service I've received as a customer over the years, and once my contract is up, I do not plan on returning to or recommending AT&T to anyone. That said, I have to give a shoutout to Tony, who works at this location. He did everything he could to help me resolve my issue and was extremely patient and willing to go above and beyond. Although he was ultimately limited by the company's technical issues, I truly admired his dedication and effort to make sure I left satisfied. For context, I was there for two hours--which should tell you something about the quality of AT&T's phone support. Again, this isn't the employees' fault, but rather a reflection of the company as a whole. Tony is excellent at communication and troubleshooting, and I wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors. It was truly outstanding how dedicated and professional he was. Alright, AT&T, if that even is your real name. I came here to feel connected, to have my phone service work like it's supposed to. To dream of seamless data speeds and customer service that actually cares. But no. I walked into this establishment, hoping for relief from the chaos of the day. Instead, I was met with the cold, indifferent face of reality. Three employees, $200 on a new phone... and a promise of service that was pathetic. My call dropped within 5 minutes. I barely had enough bars to send a text, let alone stream a video, which--let's be honest--is the only reason I even have a phone. You failed me, AT&T. And what did I get in return? A hard reset and a bill I can't afford. The store was empty, but that didn't matter. They took forever. We waited, we asked questions, and they just stared at us like they had no clue what to do. I felt like I was trapped in an episode of Twin Peaks. And not the good kind. Service? Don't even get me started. I was left standing there for 30 minutes, only to be told, "We can't help you right now." You can't help me? I thought this was supposed to be a telecommunication company, not a telecommunication graveyard. My daughter was in tears, and at that moment, it felt like I was the only one who cared. The technician didn't even offer to check my account, like it was some twisted game. I've never seen a bigger lack of urgency in my life. The only solace? A 30 top came in, and I thought, "At least someone here is getting the service they deserve." In the end, I left feeling worse than when I walked in. No fix, no help, just a broken promise and a broken phone. AT&T, you have failed me, and for that, you get one star. Never coming here again. read more

Impossible to get hold of anyone at ATT, this store does not answer their phone. I finally drove there, 5 people waiting outside. The first person in line said she got there at 130 and was told to come back at 230, they were going to lunch. I got there about 245 and waited until 315. UNACCEPTABLE!! What company allows their only employees to close the store for lunch? Without a note on the door at least? And , saying they would return at 230 and not even back by 315?? And STILL not answering the phone, I finally got ATT corporate on the phone and they tried calling the store 3 times and no answer. That was at about 430. Time to switch? read more

AT&T. What can I say about this company. They are the worst, that is probably the first thing I would say. I've had a rough year. My brother-in-law had a heart attack. My sister is going through a form of chemotherapy and dialysis. and my son had surgery. My daughters phone broke or was defective. And I had been paying insurance for the phone. AT&T charged me $200 to get a new phone. Which I had to pay is my daughter could have her phone. Then what was the insurance that I was paying for. And Her old phone does not work, which is only worth 10 bucks. I forgot to turn in through AT&T. They charged me $500. I still have that damn phone. Spent 30 minutes online waiting to talk to somebody. To which the lady told me that I was shit out of luck. I have to pay the 500 bucks. I explain to her that my son was in the hospital for three weeks straight. And I was in the hospital prior to that. So now my bill is almost $800 AT&T the minute I get all my items paid off. I'll be leaving this company after 10 years. You guys suck. And I will never be returning. I rather have no freaking cell phone than one more week with you. And this was not the only time. I have been paying for a service on one of my iPads. I paid for cell service. I didn't notice that the iPad did not have cell service for one year. Although I was paying for it. I called AT&T. They would not help me nor would they give me credit for all the time I was paying into it. So my advice to anyone looking into AT&T. RUN! Run as fast as you can in the opposite direction of this freaking company. They will take advantage of you and rip you up all your money and spit you back out. Esmeralda was the person who assisted me in purchasing my iPhone 12. She was such a strange young woman. I stood there and watched her go through my text messages. I could not believe this was happening. I was so stunned at her behavior, I couldn't speak. I witnessed her boldly invade my privacy. After she skillfully read my texts, she tricked me into purchasing a charger I didn't need. She lied and said I could not use the charger to my iPhone 7 with the iPhone 12. I found out much later this was a lie. This experience left me feeling like I had been robbed. She should not be working with the public displaying this kind of insidious, diabolical, petulant behavior. You can do better than this AT&T. read more

I went into this store and spent a lot of time with two amazing girls. They were so patient and answered all our questions totally un-biased and "un-salesly "-- in a good way. They were pleasant and very informative as if they were good friends. One girl who was helping us was marienne (sp?) and the other was her manager or someone who was helping train her on our very random cellular phone needs ... anyway-- we were pleasantly surprised. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE STORE!!! My husband ordered me an iphone online for a gift and no one at this store would give me my order or help me in any way! He was in Orange County and I was at our house in La Quinta at the time. He chose the option for me to pick it up in the La Quinta store as they were offering "expert set up" and transfer of data from old phone. Well...I called ahead to see if I needed to make an appointment for the pick up and they told me they no longer helped customers with set up which is NOT what they tell you online or at the customer service center. I was upset as it was part of the reason we ordered the phone and chose to pick it up instead of have it shipped. The manager was a real jerk on the phone so I just ended the call and decided to go pick it up anyway. SATURDAY: We arrived at the store at 5:30 pm to find all the employee's in the back room. We stood at the door knocking as they didn't close until 8:00pm. All of a sudden the manager and 4 employee's came marching out of the back room and filed right out the front door and told us they were closed and could not help us. I was just left standing there like a fool! I was pretty upset...again...so I called the store right down the street. They said the La Quinta store should not be closing as they just sent 2 employees over to that location to help for the night. SUNDAY: I decided to call customer service to file a complaint against the store and see it I could change the pick up location for the phone. No, they could not change the pick up location at the store but they could have the phone delivered and have the expert set up done at my house! They scheduled a delivery for the following day at 1:00 pm. MONDAY: Well, I wait all day for 1:00pm and sure enough, no one shows up with a phone. I call customer service and they have no record of my previous call and complaint or a scheduled delivery. Even though I hate the La Quinta location I have no choice but to go pick up my phone there as is is paid for and sitting there waiting for me. I go back to the store AGAIN and this time they won't give me the phone because I did not have the credit card that my husband used to pay for it online. I am an authorized user on the account and provided identification and even though the people at the customer service center said they should give me the phone...they refused. TUESDAY: The only way to get this thing resolved was going to be to cancel the order and place a new one and have it shipped to me so I call customer service...again to try and cancel. They cannot cancel my order because now they say that it is supposed to be delivered on Wednesday. What??? They give me a number to call to reach the department that does deliveries and it just routed me to the general line again. At this point I just can't take it anymore and call my husband and he has to spend all day fixing it, cancelling it, reordering it. What a shame. It really spoiled the fact that it was a gift. ATT is the WORST company I have EVER dealt with. NO customer service at all and you really get the run around from everyone you talk to. If you happen to order online, the people in the retail store REFUSE to help you at all because they have not made any commission off your order. The workers in the La Quinta store are a bunch of rude, minimum wage losers who could care less about customer service and getting customers what they want and need. I would NEVER go in this store again under ANY circumstances!! I am also beginning to wonder if doing business with ATT in any form is something we want to continue?? read more

Terrible customer service! The staff was not knowledgeable and always tried to up sell me on both the phone and my data plans. The person helping me would frequently go to his manager to figure out how to do something. When the manager finally came over to help she was very rude and had a "I'm right - your wrong attitude." I spent one hour trying to get my iPhone to give me voicemails I can hear and or read. Then I spent half an hour on the phone with ATt and still no luck. Out of desperation I went to the ATT store and Julie was my service person. She is young and very positive. She had the SiIM card out in no time and then put it back in and we created a new password for voicemails and the problem was solved. Julie was great and there was no waiting to see her. I think she is a college student and works weekends at the store. Don't miss her. Thanks ATT. read more

Made an appointment ahead of time, Verizon and AT&T get very busy so expect to wait if you don't make an appointment! People assume they are the only person that visits the store. I walked right in and was helped right away. They tried to up sell me on the plan I wanted and pitch extra services, but that's to be expected. It is a business and they are doing their job! After getting my services setup they put my screen protector on for me and transferred all my data between phones. They do a good job here, if you want to have that good customer service experience call ahead of time and make an appointment! That way you walk in and you are guaranteed help at your appointment time. read more

I interacted with the ATT street team while attending the Lyft driver pit stop for Coachella. The team is super rad- really chill, friendly, & funny. They told me about a deal they have this weekend for Lyft drivers, & I had a blast spinning the wheel to win a prize! It's not often you find a company that isn't snooty all the time - I appreciate when I can really relate on a human level with the employees. I went in early yesterday. The store manager directed me to a young lady. I told her I bought a new IPHONE a couple of weeks ago from Adam, but they had several people outside waiting to get in ... so I told Adam I would come back to get help in downloading my old information to the new IPHONE. After I told her, she told me that due to the COVID situation, they NO LONGER offer this service. So I asked her if they had an new IPAD in inventory and she said she did not know. The Store Manager who was sitting next to her, said they were out of stock. I asked about what inventory they had of the New IPhone and she gave me a smart ass response. A real attitude issue. So I informed both of them she had a bad attitude and got up and left. I suggest everyone should go to another ATT store, where the staff does not have a attitude and understanding what providing a service is all about. read more

He was very approachable and made you feel comfortable. He let me know about all the great deals they had to offer and he was also able to get me a cheaper unlimited plan. When I went into the La Quinta AT&T Store, Adam greeted me & proceeded to help me solve all of my problems. He is so knowledgeable, kind, concerned and went way beyond what you would expect by spending a few hours with me. He turned sour lemons into lemonade!!! I came out of the store whole again! I can't believe the outstanding service we received at this store. First, let me tell me you we are seniors, in our 70's and not very tech savvy. We could not reset the password on our IPAD because we couldn't remember which one it was (senior moment). Christian was so patient with us even though this was not a sale for him he was very professional and most courteous and patient! Next day I called the Manager Salvador to let him know what a great experience we had he really stands behind his staff and was grateful for the feedback.
