You can keep your old number, but if you want s new phone, you do need to buy it at a full price if you. Now, this part of Cricket services is inconvenient- they do not record your address on your statement. I needed a copy of a recent bill with my name and address. The lady at the store suggested to take a picture of my account off of the store computer screen. Thankfully, it worked for my purposes.
