Useuslly this store is very helpful My issue lies with the company in general. If you call the 800 Mumford help it's just an automated system. You can never talk to a live representative to get help with anything!!! I deactivated a phone off of my account weeks ago paid the final bill off on the phone and I still cannot unlock it for someone else to use even though everything has cleared my bank etc. And Lord knows the people at the store cannot help you because you have to do everything online.!!! Unfortunately, using the online option is bullshit because it does not help you either!!! Gone are the days of actual person to person customer service now it's all computerized crap!!! I for one when this fall and I have now dies on me I will go back to a landline, rotary phone or a pay phone in my damn house because I refuse to own another damn cell phone especially from AT&T!!! If I call for help, I want to speak to a live person not somebody in India not somebody in China but somebody that speaks English!!! First thing first I brought my 78 year old grandmother to this store to pay her Bill. She comes out and i can tell she was upset. She said those Men in there was so rude , she said the guy asked her how May I help you and she said I'm here to pay my phone bill she said the guy said you can pay it at the machine. She said she then told him well , I don't know how to use the machine and the guy went over angrily and told her here now put your money in. She then told him I need a receipt and he yells over the from the other side of the room while he's dealing with someone else given her the instructions with frustration in his voice! She said she felt so upset and like the young men didn't care to help because she wasnt buying a phone. Now from someone who works in Customer Service , while my grandmother is telling me this in the car I immediately told her did you get his name and she didn't even wanna go back in. So I went in and as I go in all the men are at a table laughing which lets me know they were having an unrelated work conversation or a conversation about my grandmother in which she said she told one of the gentleman that the other worker wasn't nice to her. She stated the two other guy said he's the nicest man here! So I feel like my grandmother was not treated as a paying customer ! They should understand that even though getting sales are important that you should also focus on all customers who come and pay there bill! Every person should feel special. You should also understand that you have customers of all age groups so you should no how to deal with them all! Learn that when you show lack of empathy or you not showing interest in helping a senior citizen it is a form of Discrimination! No one should ever feel the way my grandmother did. My fiancé and I have been having trouble with our bill for months and months at a different AT&T. We were advised to come to this one on Union to talk about our issues. So, we took the time to drive to this particular store and spoke with an employee named Larry, who was very professional and very helpful. He really knew the ins and outs and suggested that we speak to his store manager, Joy. Joy knew that we would be by sometime and she is/was aware of the things going on with our account and our bill. We tried to come up here last week but when we got there, it turns out Joy left early and didn't finish her shift. So we get back in the car and drive 30 minutes BACK home. So today, Saturday, we take off work and go back to the store because we were told that Joy would be there. We get inside, ask for Joy, the employee went to let her know and told us she would be right out, just a couple of minutes. So 10-15 minutes go by and I ask the employee if she knows about how much longer. The employee goes back to check, 3 minutes later, here comes Joy. This manager never sat down to talk with us or to listen to make sure she understood our main issues/problems. She stood over us and said "there's nothing I can do here, you'll have to go back to that other store". We spent more time waiting for her to come out than she did talking to us. She had our phone number, she could've called and let us know that before we took the time to come to the store. Literally had 5 days to do that. As a manager, she was very rude and unprofessional. If she would have shown us more respect while we were there and acted like she cared about her customers rather than making us feel like we interrupted her doing whatever she was doing (there was nobody else in the store when we came in), maybe my review would've been a little bit different. As for Larry, AT&T needs more of him. He is the ONLY reason we haven't canceled our plan with AT&T yet. Maybe they should promote him to store manager instead. read more

This location is great. I stopped in to a get a phone case for my parents iPhone and wanted to add a line. They had a good amount of people working and I did not have to wait for someone to help me. Overall, I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. I will definitely go back to this location. read more

Slimeballs. Comcast may be more dramatic in how much of a rip-off they are, but ATT is right behind them in promising you things and then not delivering, making customer service a pain, and having the stupidest way of logging into your account that I've ever seen. I was promised, when I signed up with ATT U-Verse, two "rewards" cards for $100 and $20 that would be good for a year. After a month of service, these cards never arrived. So I had to go through a painful process of calling ATT, emailing ATT, etc. until someone recognized this and claimed to send the cards. Finally, a single card--ostensibly for $100--arrived in the mail. I then had to go through the arduous process of getting this card "activated" to make it work, which was also a pain, but finally it seemed like I had that and some time to make it work (note that the promised 2nd card never arrived, but I didn't feel like $20 was worth spending more hours in phone hell). Fast forward several months and I decide I want to use the card. Big mistake. Apparently the card expired after 90 days. I call to get this resolved, get sent around to 5-6 different people, and they all say they can't do anything. Wow. In addition, their website is atrocious and very difficult to log in to--you have to set up a weird unique password but you couldn't use many common symbols and it got to the point where I just had to change passwords every time I logged in. So pick your poison with ATT or Comcast. Both are scum. Don't buy the "rewards card" card--assume that they'll find some way to rip you out of it. At least Comcast seems a bit faster for what you pay. read more

I received terrible customer service at this location. I bought a go phone to use until the new iPhone was released. Four hours after purchasing, the phone was malfunctioning and had a big black spot on the screen. I took the phone back and was told they would not refund it (even though within the 14 day return window) because it looked like I had damaged the phone. There were no visible signs of damage and I did not drop the phone. Long story short, I took the phone and returned it to another location no problem where they asked me about what happened rather than accuse me of trying to rip them off. Literally the only thing you can do here is buy something. Any valid questions or concerns about your account? Be prepared to spend 3 hours on the phone with someone in an Indian call center, because you ain't gonna find your answers at this store. Every single question I had (and there were many), I was told that I had to call the 1800 number. Apparently the only thing the lackluster sales team is trained to do here is take your money and run. After 15 years of being with AT&T, I made the switch to Verizon today. Good customer greeting when you enter the store but that is where the fun stops. The sales people then turn into sharks throwing company policies at you time after time. I was there for a replacement modem (at&t equipment that broke via normal wear after 7 years) and I was told I had to pay for it. This is crap considering I have paid outrageous Internet fees for 7 years. I then left went to another store and got the part for free (as I should have). When you want to deal with real people don't go to this store go to the one on Poplar by Mendenhall. They are much nicer and will take care of you without trying to make a buck off you. read more

So, the review previous to mine is a little jaded, I think. I've been here several times, and never have I felt berated and beaten down by company policies. This location is easily one of the best and most efficient AT&T stores I've ever been to. I was pleasantly surprised, given the neighborhoods that surround it. However, I don't go into stores expecting anything for free, especially if I've owned it for several years. A business is a business and they all have rules and regulations. So long as you realize this, this is an exceptional store. The staff are knowledgable, friendly, and extremely helpful. They even have thwarted attempts at identity theft when I've been there. They have a well stocked store with lots of good people on staff. Defintely a location I'll continue to return to while I live in the area. No complaints whatsoever. read more

Dumb as a bag of hammers, Didn't know answer, so they made up a story to get rid of me. Last Friday, I needed assistance because my 1 year old cell (Galaxy S8+) would not show my contact information, it would only show the phone number. The issue started that morning. I made an online appointment -Union Store. I arrived early. There were three ATT employees standing on the wall. A middle aged white employee, explained that it was a "Samsung Issue" there must be a problem with their software. The guy that just left had the same problem. I asked well what can I do to fix it. I was told "nothing" you just wait and keep your phone updated. The next morning I went to the ATT Store in W. Memphis, AR. I explained to a blond white gentleman and was told, I don't know the answer but I will have our Tech Dept call you to help. He placed the request, I received a call, he explained that it was the "ATT Call Protect App" that was causing the problem. When uninstalled, my issue was resolved. The employees at the Union location were very abrupt and impolite with there made up lies. If you don't know, don't lie to the customer. There actions clearly indicated that they didn't want to be there and was making up stories that didn't make any sense. I would give them no stars if I could. I have all my wireless service and internet with AT&T and looked forward to the day I could have my TV service with them as well, all one bill. Big mistake! After 5 technicians each saying the other didn't hook it up correctly and numerous calls to India or wherever the calls go, resetting the modem, lengthy waits on the phone I threw in the towel and am back with Comcast. Now I have to wait a week with no TV service as U-Verse did something to the wiring and there is a one week wait with Comcast until they can come back out. When we took the U-Verse equipment to UPS the man commented he knew what we were in for, he has at least one return per day. The old adage holds, if it ain't broke don't fix it. read more

This review is specifically about this store. Some reviews appear to be about ATT in general, but this is about the Union Ave location. I went online to pick up a SIM card for my new iPhone, which I was informed was free by the customer service personnel at the 800 number. The store sales rep told me it was $5; when I disputed that fact and asked for the manager, a Ms. Johnson I believe, she also said there was a $5 charge for the SIM card because they've been "ripped off". Ripped off? On SIM cards? At that particular store? When I protested, the gentleman that was helping me said "it's just $5," as if that is an acceptable reason for him to deceive a customer. It was obvious that this is a practiced scam that normally works on customers because it IS just $5, but the small amount of money certainly doesn't impact the negative feelings that accompany being taken advantage of. I left and called the 800# again and was told that indeed the SIM card was supposed to be free, although there is an optional $5 card available for purchase. The representative on the phone was flabbergasted that they tried to charge me $5 in the store and overnighted the card to me. For free. At no time did the store offer the complimentary SIM card option. The employees in this store are apparently all practicing sanctioned deception and are not willing to offer any service or assistance if it does not correlate with whatever bonus program the national office is running at the time. I think it's appalling that even the manager was complicit in the deception. The culture at that store needs a thorough overhaul and management should be replaced or retrained. Do not go to this store expecting anyone to be honest about their products or services. read more

Had the worst experience returning a phone. I just purchased it 3 hours before, never used it, and returned it still in plastic. Instead of just taking the phone back, the rep and manager decided they wanted to argue with me about whether the phone was working. I didn't say the phone didn't work, I said it never finished setup and I didn't want it and wanted to return it but they didn't listen and continued to argue. Horrible customer service!!! read more

Switched to ATT from Xfinity and I wished I had just dealt with Xfinity. I have received incorrect bills for the past 6 months. I have requested and was promised credits that were never processed and all the while, I continue to receive accumulating bills. I've called numerous agents on the phone and all they do is type down what my request and state that changes will be made within 48 hours. Nothing! I spoke with someone in the store to resolve the confusion and the promises haven't come to pass from them either. The surveys aren't asking the right question. They need to send those surveys out 2 weeks after the call and not within 5 days. That way if the request aren't met, you can state that. I would gladly provide information that my request wasn't followed through Also, I've received crappy internet service at my house. Technical service ask me to unplug and plug it in before calling to see if that works. I don't mind doing that but why am I doing that. The device should work if it's an ATT product. Technical service does follow through. They will call back. Put some of them in Billings. read more

My problem comes when they have awful broadband access. They're usually adequate, but if an issue arises, they are painfully inadequate. The phone menu has a way of kicking you when you're down, too. Nothing but recommendations to go online to seek assistance...which I would gladly do if the f'ing system would work! (plus angry exclamation points!) read more
