I know better than to download cr@p to my computer, but for some odd reason I thought downloading…read moreto my phone would be safer...crazy right? So I downloaded one of those stupid Facebook quizzes (who were you in a past life) and shortly thereafter got a message in RED that I had 13 serious viruses on my phone and I needed protection NOW. And even thought I knew better and immediately regretted it, I downloaded CleanSweep (blue background/white broom). BAD move. Then I get messages my rams is at 90 % usage and I could get more for "only" $20 a bucks or so. I felt like a real dumb@$their but no I didn't purchase the ram. I never do financial things on my phone. So I head here and asked if they could help me. They were so nice, and since I did have insurance they loaded cleaning softwear on my phone for free and taught me how to remove all the stuff I didn't need from my phone. They even made me feel better saying people come in all the time with that CleanSweep. It made me feel better cause misery loves company. . (and this program continually runs and was the ram problem....removing it was all that was necessary for the ram to have plenty of room left) . And while I was there they checked my account and were able to save me $10 !!! Who doesn't want to save money? I'm done being an @$$clown with my phone. So remember...don't load cr@p to your phone, and If you get messages trying to scare you into it, just say NO. Class dismissed.

I've tried restoring the phone and running a software repair program. Nothing has worked so far. It shuts off and comes back on when it wants to. Never had an issue until I had the screen replaced.

I had no idea that that was an issue so I didn't mention it when I dropped my phone off. Not only that, when I did drop my phone off, they didn't even ask for my name OR a number to reach me at. I found this to be REALLY sketchy. I told them my name anyway and they put a small sticker on my phone with my last name on it. They told me it'd cost $75, that was considerably cheaper than the first time I got the screen replaced so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. They told me to come back for my phone in an hour. I went shopping for an hour and half and came back. When I came back, they told me they couldn't fix the screen because it was already fixed before. Since it was apparently replaced with a screen that isn't authentic (which I was not aware of, it says "Samsung" on it....), they told me that it would cost $129 because they would need to replace the LCD screen as well. They guaranteed that they would crack the screen if they pulled the replaced screen off. I'm going to assume that replacing the LCD screen is some sort of liability... Which is funny since not getting any of my information sounds like that could have been a liability, could it not? I decided to look for more estimates because that is ridiculous. Especially since they didn't get a number to contact me on. My screen is also a lot looser than it was before I brought it in. I was considering not fixing the screen and just living with the crack but now it's mandatory that I get the screen replaced. I found another store that estimated me at the same price, if I can't find anything better (though I may be able to get it replaced for $89 at a location farther away, feel free to ask me about it), I will be taking my business there. I am visiting from Los Angeles and back home, they always ask for some contact information to let you know that they are done fixing your phone. The cell phone repair store I normally go to even checks in while he's repairing.

The Genius Bar use to be able to repair and replace products- that apparently is a thing of the past. Now you turn it in and wait 7-10 business days to get your item repaired or replaced. That is disappointing- but also not my main reason for reviewing. It's about safety. While being sat at a table full of people- I was asked all my personal details. Full name, full address, phone number etc. I asked if I could type it in he said no. I said that I wasn't comfortable giving all this info at a table full of strangers and he actually giggled. The gentleman across from me said- "honestly it's not safe to do". So he said - give me your drivers license if it's current. I was ok with this. I gave it to him, he laid it out on the table and proceeded to READ IT OUT-LOUD as he typed it in. I said "are you serious" he said "oh... my bad".. It was petulant, intentional and meant to make those of us at the table feel like they don't care. One of the women got up and left to go speak to a different associate because even she was upset by this and told him he was being rude to me and the table. It is a bad practice to have your associates ask for private information at a table full of people. I witnessed it happening to the table directly behind us and the one to the right of us.. this isn't a singular employee- this is your training standard and it needs to not happen.

Was the gentleman who was condescending and flat out rude. Thick braided African-American gentleman. It's because Saints may be obvious to him, does not mean that they're obvious to the novice. Condescension and negative attitude are not necessary. Nor are they appreciated. Personally, I feel that he does not want to deal with the public. As soon as he was rude with me, he took off behind the scenes again. I agree that Apple is worth it's price. But that does not entitle their employees to treat you poorly.
