Once again I am stunned to see prior negative reviews. but I note that the negative ones are a minimum of 8+ years ago. So - to "reiterate" my review of last September - this is my absolute go to store for all things AT&T. what I love in general about their service people - very very knowledgeable, courteous, highly professional - and they stay with me until a question is fully answered or a problem is solved. Most recently I had Luna work with me - and she was as great - even greater - than those in the past. This young woman has a totally professional demeanor - I really believe it would behoove AT&T to sneak in a "Secret Shopper" camera / microphone and record her as she does her work. That could be used in a training program. All corporate AT&T would have to do is let the tape run for 15 minutes - or even better 30 - and when done all the Trainer would have to say is "and THAT IS HOW ITS DONE!" Thanks Luna! read more

Avoid this place at all costs. I've been here twice. First time when my S7 died under warranty wasn't great, but didn't realize that they wouldn't update the IMEI on my device installment plan. The second time was trying to resolve this issue when I upgraded because I was supposed to return a phone AT&T had already replaced 9 months earlier. This visit would later set me off on an expletive-filled rant with AT&T customer service about my issue remaining unresolved. One employee in particular was a real piece of work. This guy interjected constantly, first to blame me, then other AT&T reps, but never accepting the terrifying possibility of spending literally 2 minutes to LISTEN to the customer and another 5 minutes to FIX the problem. To that charming employee, know that nobody is impressed that you landed a prestigious gig selling phones, you condescending POS. Not even your mother. read more

Will not do business with this store again, rude, sarcastic and hang up phone in your face wanted to sell me a phone that was not compatible with my new car, and not offer to call for me to order the color I wanted in my phone, had to take what they had. Hey just so people know. I reported this store to the CT Attorney Gerneral, and I actually got a response from them, and my issue was corrected by AT&T corporate, not Customer Service, actually AT&T corporate. This store practices predatory practices, and it is unfair how they take advantage of you. I do have to say though, that EVERYONE else I had to deal with internally at AT&T (Customer Service and Corporate) were absolutely amazing. Their customer service people are some of the best I have run in to. If you have a problem with this store, report them. read more

I could not be more disappointed with the customer service I received at this facility. First, my account was altered without my consent. When I brought this to the attention of the service clerk I was disrespected verbally and put at fault for their own error. Furthermore, when asked to speak to management, the manager began to partake in the rude, inappropriate behavior toward me and found it humorous. You can assume that the employees' rationale to behave this way stems from management and their poor, unprofessional actions toward customers. I hope a manger reads these. Let me tell you about my experience.. So i walked into this store on Sunday, July 12th at about 35 mins before closing time. I went in with the hopes of trading in my iPhone 5S for a $50 fee and taking on a new balance for an iPhone6. Which was great until this salesman asked to see my iphone. I knew my iphone was in great condition, I had kept it in its case most of its life. No cracks or major scratches on the screen. The only minor flaw was a slight warp from being in a pocket (Which all iphones do, even apple will tell you). This salesman starts doing his analysis in his tablet and then tells me its not in good enough condition. Of course i was surprised, anybody would tell you different in my opinion, It was simply a used iphone in good condition. So i asked, why, and he tells me that its because his questionnaire says so. So i shook my head and asked for a second opinion. He told me, No, anybody else that fills out the questionnaire will get the same answer. meanwhile, i was the only customer in the store, and all i wanted was for someone else to look at it. You can imagine i frustrated at this point, for someone who takes care of their phone and then gets turned down as if my phone was a piece of crap, I felt appalled. I left with my phone, and as i left i deeply considered changing carries, thats how upset i was. Well, determined to get my iphone 6, and confident enough in the condition of my phone, I rushed over to the Branford location before they closed. Well, My experience there was the complete opposite! The man there gave me no issues,inspected the phone, filled out the same questionnaire on the tablet, and what do ya know! He gave me my brand new iPhone. simple and quick, just the way it should have been. I will never go to the North Haven, Universal drive location again! The salesperson, made me feel horrible, and i walked out ready to cry, and i am a grown man! He was rude, denied me after every comment i made, and refused to give me that second opinion. Quite possibly the worst cell phone experience of my life. Went to buy an iPhone they didn't have in stock. Ordered it and requested delivery to the store and promised arrival within in three days. At day 5 I called to cancel the order and buy it somewhere else because it hadn't arrived, as promised. On the phone, I was told I would be charged a $35 restocking fee, despite it being shipped to the store and being unopened or even seen by me. I decided just to wait for it. They told me over the phone to come in and pick it up once it says it has arrived on the AT&T Website. Once the site said it was in, I drove to the store and they told me it wasn't in yet - despite the website saying otherwise. I went in a week later once it (actually) arrived (took nearly two weeks), and asked to speak to the manager to tell him how awful this experience was. The manager took no accountability for the fiasco and didn't apologize. I asked for the phone to be refunded so I can buy it at a place that actually cares. I went to Best Buy, and it turns out, they processed the return incorrectly at the AT&T Store. I had to go BACK to AT&T for them to do it again. Again, the manager took no accountability and didn't apologize. On my way back to Best Buy, the manager that I worked with 'accidentally' turned off my data. I was able to call and text, but nothing else worked. So then I headed BACK to the AT&T Store for them to turn it back on. Yet again, the manager (who refused to give me his name) took no accountability, and didn't apologize for the problems he single-handedly caused. Quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever encountered. This store needs to restructure, or hire people who are less incompetent and less rude. I wouldn't even send my worst enemies to this store. AVOID AT&T North Haven at all costs! read more

Excellent customer service, excellent product knowledge, prompt service. I had a bad experience with an AT&T store in another town and in the staff in North Haven made everything right! Will definitely use the store as my go to AT&T store in the future. read more

I had been absolutely shafted by the incompetent guy in the A T & T store in Cheshire who sold me a phone (promising a rebate that evaporated just as I was paying, after the data transfer had been done, and just before the store was closing) but he didn't activate it properly. Then this guy, Kyle, didn't even open the store at all the next day, having said he would be there if I had any issues. After spending hours returning to the store to find it still dark, I went to the North Haven store, where my problems were solved by kind, thoughtful people. The large corporate stores are the only place to go, not the small independently-owned retail stores. I see other negative reviews but my experience was outstanding. read more

This place doesn't even deserve a one star. They are scam artist looking just to make a buck. My husband and I switched from Verizon to AT&T, biggest mistake we ever made. We did the buy one get one free deal. He said the next 3 to 4 bills will have us pay full price and then we will be reimbursed for what is owed to us. After arguing with them in store and on the phone they have told us that we were past the buy one get one free deal by two days. WHY WOULD YOU SELL PHONES IN A PROMOTION THAT ENDED. We will be canceling with AT&T as soon as possible. read more

EXTREMELY RUDE, belligerent and aggressive manager. He basically kicked me out of the store because I stated the fact that Verizon has better coverage (and they're not even my carrier). He was making snide, sarcastic comments. I didn't ask this degenerate to approach me but he did and I gave the typical "just browsing for a few minutes" remark but he wouldn't stop hassling me. I had a good experience purchasing a phone at the North Haven store, it was when the phone didn't work well with phone calls that I brought the phone back I was told they don't take iPhones back and that I had to take the phone to an Apple store. They said it was a contractual agreement they had with Apple. This seemed odd to me but off I went to the Apple store (New Haven). As I said, I owned the phone for two days. I was told by two different customer service people at Apple that what the AT&T guy told me was false but they would be happy to help me. Apple was great. AT&T was terrible. My recommendation is that you go to Apple and buy your phone to begin with. North Haven AT&T doesn't deserve your business. read more
