We came in with baggage from our adventure with another AT&T store and the pathetic "service" AT&T is offering as "Enjoy" delivery... defective device... time wasted (2x)... and unhappiness with an unapproved add of a protection plan from the prior store's salesperson... He was able to get us squared away efficiently and seems to run a very solid ship (a lot of watching time while updates, etc. setup on our replacement phone). There's probably a sales aspect to his compensation and/or performance measures, but Eric is clearly someone who understands how to take care of customers and is willing to invest time to address issues that are not of his making and whose resolution probably has no positive incentive for him. My wife, 6 month old and I went on a Saturday. Not a customer or car around except the employees in the parking lot. Employee told me he can't have me parking my brand new truck and brand new utility trailer there like I am trash. We have a business account for a construction company with them. For some reason, every time I go into the store, I end up with the same RUDE agent. He's SO unfriendly, he NEVER smiles, he isn't helpful, he says things to make me feel stupid and he changed my plan without my consent and it raised my bill!! I NEVER want to deal with him again. Usually buying a new phone and switching providers is a bit of a hassle, but I had an amazing experience at this store yesterday. My family decided to switch from T Mobile to AT&T and I placed an order online for two phones for pickup at this location. I failed to provide some information (my fault) so I called the store to ask some questions. My sales rep was Yuni and she assured me that what I ordered was in stock and should would help me figure out my issue. She called and texted me with updates, and when I arrived at the store I was there for less than 10 minutes and Yuni was there to help me. Thank you Yuni! read more

The employee today, 4/14/24 at this location was incredibly rude and unprofessional! We went in for questions about screen protectors and he has not helpful at all! THIS is customer service. Was greeted at the door and treated like a person, not a number, not a sale - throughout the transaction. Vanessa is WONDERFUL, KIND, the ABSOLUTE BEST. She was super attentive and honest enough to admit it when she didn't know the answer off the top of her head, quick to find the answers to the questions I had. AND she addressed my son who wanted the phone upgrade. Even though they closed at 8 and I said it was ok to not finish file transfers, I never saw any frown/change in expressions (from her or the rest of the staff), she remained sweet and pleasant. This place is horrible. Luis and Max are the epitome of why business customer service is at an all time low. They are puppets carrying the att name. Do not go to this store! Even though the larger company AT&T gives you a 3-day graces period to return phones without a restocking fee at discretion of manager, the store will tell you that it is their policy and they cannot. They dont even take the ATT phone note recommendation from reps in your account. Apparently, policies are laws. They dont even have a discussion and don't even try to discount anything or accommodate. Then they will cite their own store policy over the larger organization. Apparently, as a customer I am suppose to know that the store functions differently. Then why in the heck carry the AT&T name??? This is something ATT shouldnt allow. They are awful. Max tried to make us leave the store because I told him that his store manager, Luis, was rude and Max acted like a child and said 'if you're going to talk about my store manager then Im going to ask you to leave." I told him that " I am not being inappropriate and I'm allowed to say that my interaction with his store manager was rude." This was after the fact that at 430ish, the store associate told us to return after 5pm as the manager is on break and I can discuss my issue. When I return at 7pm, Max tell me he is the manager but its the store manager that can do the reversal of the restocking fee but his store manager will say no. So the sales associate made me waste time returning to speak the someone that wasnt the store manager and he can't help me either. At the end of the day, they live on the mindset that everything is written in stone and to just say 'no.' They all lie and tell different 'policies' that favor them ( I say this cause I also went to a different ATT corporate store the same they who decided so speak on behalf of Apple charging restocking fees; I checked they dont. They dont need to) . Either deal with ATT over the phone or get your phone from the Apple store. Would never set foot in this store again. They sold my husband a phone that turned out to be incompatible, and charged him $55 restocking fee to return it. Also up sold us on a plan they said would save us $40 a month, came to find out it actually doubled our monthly bill. When returning to the store and requesting our old plan be reinstated, the manager Brandon promised that would be done. He never did it. If not for a very helpful customer service agent on the phone this morning, AT&T would've lost our business completely. Deceptive, duplicitous, unhelpful. The most disgusting sales traps and tactics I have ever witnessed. I brought my elderly friend to buy a new iPhone. Everything seemed fine at first, but after the sales rep brought back a different color and capacity phone without mentioning that he changed everything on us, I was getting uneasy. Then they convince us to renew her direct tv for a huge discount per month. Except they randomly upped the bill and opened a second line on her phone bill. My father went there to sort things out again. And he leaves with a complex roku that doesn't have the one show she watches and they stressed at the store. I don't know if this store is a representation of all AT&T stores, but taking advantage of two elderly people and lying for sales is utterly disgusting and unacceptable. I may be switching providers when I am ready to buy a new phone. For sure I will never suggest anyone buy direct tv or go to this store in particular. Run. They are going to screw you. read more

After 10 days without cell phone service with AT&T and numerous calls to customer service via their web site, with each "promising" to fix my problem, and a visit to a retail facility where a new sim card was installed and I was told my phone needed replacement (NOT), I was in the vicinity of Cactus & Tatum and decided to try one more time before springing for a new $1000 Apple. Upon entering I was warmly greeted by Jacob who treated me respectfully and asked what he could do for me. Wow! What a difference! I explained my phone would not make or receive calls to which he offered his help. Within seconds my phone was ringing. It was unbelievable! No high pressure sales, no rude comments about my not so new phone, just professional help and consideration. How often do we encounter that? I asked if I could meet his manager to tell him of my very positive experience. John greeted me warmly with extended hand and we chatted for several minutes. What a team, they restored my lost confidence in AT&T as I was about to switch due to their complete lack of care and empathy. John & Jacob and this AT&T location are worthy of my highest praise and appreciation and will be getting that next phone purchase from me and my wife. Thank you gentlemen!!!!! read more

A while back, I was bamboozled into signing as "bundled" Wireless/Direct TV plan that was suppossed to lower my overall wireless pricing. It did not. Returning to the Store, I was then put on yet another "reduced pricing" plan. However, without being informed, the newer plan eliminated a key feature of my previous plans, Personal Hotspot. After adding Personal Hotsport online, I am now paying more than ever. No surprise here.. Additionally, I cracked the screen on my phone and submitted an claim to Asurion as I had paid for phone insurance over many years. Was informed that they could not repair my screen for the advertised deductible price of $49. However, they would be happy to send me a refurbished phone for $149. This AFTER having to fill out a mountain of online forms and actual Sworn Affidavit that must be mailed or faxed in. Moral of story? Do NOT pay for the phone insurance. It is not worth the money or effort if you actually need to use it read more

I came in at 10:30 am to simply get help filing a claim for my damaged phone since it is next to impossible to do it through their insurance providers. There was one person working and I waited for 15+ min, I had to leave without getting any help. This store needs to have additional help and they need to be trained better since this is the 2nd time I've gone in for this same issue and they just told me to go online and do it myself. read more

WARNING DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE!!! Opened a bundled account iPad/phone for $135.00 s month for my brother who is ill with brain cancer.. Entered incorrectly in computer by employee at this store. First bill $305. another bill 3 weeks later $205.00 9 phone calls to level 2 customer support, told by 1 supervisor would fix it, AT & T's fault at Shea Blvd store by original employee who entered contract., 2nd supervisor told couldn't help me go to store. Made 9 phone calls, on hold for 1 1/2 hrs at a time. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. WOULD NEVER DEAL WITH AT & T OR THE PHOENIX SHEA BLVD STORE. It's been 2 1/2 months. Still not fixed, still charging me unbundled rate and threatening now to cut off service & effect my credit. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. Worse service ever!!! Two managers, three associates and 15 contacts without resolution . Four months waiting on credit for signing up iPads on contract. No one follows through, no return call from current Manager Jena . Rick told me he resolved and would post within 48 hours, it's a week later, nothing! To top it off, told yesterday Manager will be in at 9:30 and store doesn't even open until 10. Plenty of opportunity to fix the issue everyone lies. Don't trust then. read more

The worst experience ever! The store was empty yet I waited 10 minutes for an AT&T associate; one was helping a customer, one was texting on his phone while the other was watching TV. I was certain they were customers also - I was shocked to learn they were employees. That was just the beginning, I had purchased a new IPhone7 two days earlier and the home key was sticking so I needed to exchange. They said their diagnostic didn't show a problem so they could not help me, I needed to go to Apple for any exchange. That is certainly frustrating however, I do understand store policies (even though I don't agree). Anyhow, the policy is not my complaint, the lack of professionalism is what I found SHOCKING! Initially a woman helped me (after she finished watching TV) and was very argumentative! Finally I asked to speak with her manager, she argued that he was only going to tell me the same thing. This went on for some time when she finally said she would check to see if he would be "willing" to talk with me. After less than a minute she returned to say he was at lunch and would be gone for an hour. I told her I would wait- after 5 minutes he magically appeared from the back office and was very upset that I was "bothering" him and I quickly realized that a team is just a good (or in this case bad as their leader). His lack of professionalism and argumentative demeanor far exceeded hers! In the end, he said that "everyone" is complaining about the iPhone 7 home key and that is why he hasn't bought one yet. He further confirmed there was nothing he could do (or would do) and when I said but I just bought this phone 2 days ago he shrugged his shoulders and said "oh well" as he walked away. Wow. Sooo unprofessional his name is Jav and I didn't notice her name. I left the store feeling very upset and drove to another ATT store on Tatum and Cactus and the experience was a million times better. They were so professional, helpful and understanding. Seth worked with me and while I did not exchange the phone he took time to explain the problem with the phone and said please go home and try it for 24 hours and I will be here if you need to come back for an exchange. The end result in both locations was the same but the experience was night and day. I give 0 stars to the Scottsdale and Camelback location - the worse manager (and team) I have EVER experienced - and give 10 stars to Cactus and Tatum -specifically Seth. Job well done!! read more

Each time I have gone in, I have to wait at least an hour. The employees are very nice. However, they move slow and do not seem respectful of my/our time. There is little room to sit and even when something is available I'm not offered it if I'm not next on the list (nevermind my recent hip surgery - no one likes to stand and wait an hour). I'm not asked if I'd like a water (an hour wait in Arizona - thirsty perhaps?). I had no phone so I had to stay and wait the whole hour and a half today. I saw at least 10 people come in and leave because of the wait time. I saw another man, waiting for 2 hours because he needed one particular guy who was busy - this man had been in yesterday for three hours waiting and only took 5 minutes with the employee. Another man pacing and trying to be nice. Asked employees why it was taking so long. Ridiculous. I told the manager I was not happy with the wait times and she said "because we are understaffed?" They are ALWAYS understaffed and this is the problem. They had to apologize to every individual who walked in. Again, this is not my first time experiencing this at this store. It is not my first time experiencing this at other ATT stores either. I find it very disrespectful. Not only are they slow, they will interrupt my conversation to discuss other matters. My gal was the manager and they interrupted her at least 5 times to ask questions while I was just trying to switch phones over (already had the new phone). She would get up to leave and greet people who entered. Their prices are outrageous, service mediocre, plans change often, sometimes given incorrect information (especially concerning hotspot, insurance, and directv), and on top of all of that I have to wait. I am certain they have no clue or genuine concern how this affects my day or what I have to give up (time with family, one day off a week) to wait in their store. I'll honestly tell people that my least favorite thing to do is go to an ATT store. read more

just now Had major headaches trying to change my phone service with this store. They put me on a new pre-pay plan that I was told would save me money but it didn't work with Wi-Fi calling for my phone (I was told that it would) so within two hours I switched back to my original plan. A few days later I noticed they charged my credit card $32 to switch to the new plan then another $32 to switch back to my old plan when I discovered the new plan didn't work. I'm not used to paying for my vendors mistakes so last week so after over 15 years with AT&T I moved to Consumer Cellular. They are less than half the price and use the same cell network so the call quality is the same and my phone works with WiFi calling with Consumer Cellular. Also when I call in for support I get U.S. based support, not India. . Update to review. I cancelled AT&T last month and was told that I would receive a refund on my final bill. I just received my final bill and they charged me over $175. It looks like they charged me for a full month for each of the 3 plans that they had me on over a single day because of their mistakes. They also charged me for two plan change fees and for two new phone number fees. I ended up spending another two hours of my time on the phone with AT&T over the last three days trying to get this resolved. I was told it would be taken care of but I'll have to wait a few days to find out. I've never experienced this level of disfunction from a large corporation in my life. If you decide to go with AT&T I recommend you first watch a Three Stooges movie so you have an idea of what to expect. read more
