I was one of the many Sprint customers who transitioned over to T-Mobile several years ago. I have stopped by this location many times. Yesterday, I received a new cell phone and tried following the instructions T-Mobile gave me to transfer my phone number from my previous cell phone to the one one unsuccessfully. I tried using online resources before giving up and deciding to go into the store. In the past, I have always had quite a wait before an employee could see me to assist me. Today, I was one of the first customers in the store when they opened, and I had two employees assisting me until the transfer was completed. When I arrived today, Canyan quickly welcomed me and had me sit down and go over what I had done already for the transfer. He reset the process and started following through with the various steps. As other customers started showing up, he had Sebastian take over with assisting me while he helped others. Sebastian was able to help complete the process, and when I left, my new phone was now working and receiving calls and texts. While I previously wrote a review where I rated the service low, I would now consider the service of staff to be rather high though without appointments or an official sign-in process, customers do not initially feel valued upon their arrival. I do wish that appointments could be made for assistance the way that Sprint used to do before the merger. Now I know that If I show up just after opening, I can have a very positive experience though if I was showing up in the middle of a busy day, then I would rather consider looking for answers online or calling into customer service. I was very pleased to learn that a new iPhone 16 promotion allowed any iPhones from the 11 version onward to be worth $830 towards the cost of a new iPhone. Prior to this promotion, I could maybe get $110 give or take towards a new phone if I traded in my current phone. I appreciate this and other T-Mobile promotions relating to cell phones, Internet, and more. I look forward to see what I can get with T-Mobile in the future! read more

The worst service!!!! After wasting an hour on the phone trying to get a printed copy of my bill that included my home billing address and where payments go to so l could provide it in my cancer grant application, they sent me to this location where I was "greeted" by the rudest store employee. Really love how he blew off how easily he could just print it out and said it'd be another 45 minutes. This company and their employees are garbage. Getting help with something I should be able to get in my account has been a nightmare. Waited 15 minutes while the rep tried over and over to sign into their system but couldn't. He handed me over to another rep who could get into the system but felt compelled to work their hardest to push my buttons. Unprompted, "You know you won't be able to transfer anything" (e.g. contacts or texts), "call 611 and authorize your account (what the heck is 611?). To top it off, after 30 minutes of this torture, they pick that time to tell me they don't have any phones in the store for me. Lesson learned - if you're a Tmobile customer and need a phone, don't waste your time with Tmobile, get an unlocked one online. read more

We ended up spending 3 hours at the T-Mobile store last week. We had the most awesome,patient & very kind man helping us the whole time! His name is Canyan & he was incredible to work with. We had many many issues in regards to our previous addresses which caused multiple problems & phone calls. He did it all with the utmost professionalism we have seen ever! I just got back from this T Mobile which my go-to location mainly because of Giovanni who always provides options and good service. Unfortunately,When I got there Giovanni was out on a break or lunch, but there were 3 others in the store so I took my chances with CHRIS. Two other "workers" were seated at a round table staring into their phones and comparing the beauty of their respective dreadlocks. Mutual admiration society. So I explained to Chris that my phone was really heating up & wanted to swap my phone (I had been paying insurance forever. ) When he realized that I was not interested in purchasing a new phone, he made a call to their tech center and handed me the phone. I spoke to two persons on the phone which included giving me directions on how to move all my data to iCloud . Not being a techie I was skeptical about doing it myself so I told her that I was disappointed that despite being in a T MOBILE STORE with staff, that I had to do all these steps of myself. To which she answered: YES, CHRIS DIDN'T WANT TO HELP YOU WITH IT. Aha! That's what I thought ! Giovanni would have done the whole thing and I would be out the door. During my visit, an elderly lady walked in with her phone in hand while the workers at the round table stared at their phones while their legs opened and closed non stop in a nervous tick. How about getting up from your duffs, greeting the lady and ask her how you can help? Never occurred to you right? I don't know where T Mobile gets its people or who trains them but there is significant room for improvement. As a person who supervised over 500 people in 5 locations in an Urban city, I will tell you that whoever is training these powder puffs is NOT doing a good job. read more

I got a free iPhone 15 from this store because of a current promotion. When I wanted to trade it for an iPhone 15 Plus, I had nothing but issues with the majority of the staff at this location and I would not recommend this store to anyone. Because of the location, they have a lot of older customers and, one employee in particular, Gena, seems to find it amusing to make up things while dealing with those customers because she doesn't think they will know she is lying. You hear about younger people using the derogatory term "boomer" and the patronizing attitude that comes with it. Gena is a poster child for that attitude. Examples of what she told me when I went in to trade in my phone: *There would be a restocking fee of $95. (it's $75) *The phone I wanted had to be ordered but I would still have to turn in my iPhone 15 immediately and it would be wiped. *I wanted to see if I could forward my phone to my husband's iPhone 8. She said they would have to put my physical SIM card in his phone so he would have two SIM's in the same phone. (To forward my phone, all I had to do was follow the call forwarding steps. It's not even possible to put two physical SIM's in an iPhone 8. In fact the iPhone 15 doesn't have a physical SIM, it uses eSIM technology which is not compatible with an iPhone 8.) *When she realized that I had gotten the iPhone 15 for free as part of their current promotion, she said I could not trade it in and she wouldn't help me further. As an IT Manager, I have provided iPhone support in my job for years so I knew a lot of what Gena was telling me was obviously incorrect. In addition to the fabricated information Gena gave me, she was also incredibly condescending and rude. She seemed to think that she could tell me anything and, since I was older, I would believe her. It was obvious that this T-Mobile store was not going to help me so I ordered a refurbished phone from Amazon. When it came in, I used the eSIM technology to transfer everything from the iPhone 15 to the iPhone 15 Plus with no issues. My husband will be getting the iPhone 15. read more

Usually walking into a phone store puts you on defense immediately , not here , Chris greeted us as well as a few others , they were all very very welcoming and helpful as we seen with other customers during our visit . Now we were getting help changing companies to T-Mobile as well as getting a new phone added to plan . Chris talked us through the whole process , never once rolling his eyes when we had no idea of what we were doing loL . He spent a lot of time and was so thorough that by the time we left , I was blown away with this location and all of the employees there that I raced home to post tHis review . I would give "0" if I could. I am not complaining about the service across the country, although much improvement is necessary even on Interstates Freeways. Instead, I am complaining about false advertisements for deals and rates. As a senior citizen I chose to go with T-Mobile for its over 55 rates and I also chose to upgrade our phones because we were long overdue for new phones. We went through Costco because not only were they giving $400 dollars per trade-in for each of our phones, but a Costco gift card on top of that (which they did). One year and seven months later, we are still paying for the phones, and it turns out to be FULL PRICE without the $400 trade-in. Their Customer Service is useless because I called about the bill within the first six months, and they said that our bills would reflect the $800 for the two trade-ins in due time. Well, the bills continue at full rate. How dare they take advantage of seniors. read more

Just wanted to give this location a positive review. We started out at the location on cactus and cave creek and it was an AWFUL experience on so many different levels, so we left and headed over to this location on Paradise Village PKWY. As soon as we walked in there was a huge difference. Alex helped us right away. He got my dad set up with a new phone and was very informative about everything. The customer service was spectacular and they took their time to make sure all questions were answered and we had everything we needed. I recently purchased new iPhones from Cactus Road T-Mobile. This was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Canyon was incredibly helpful, making the whole process very easy. He was able to answer all my family's questions and transfer all our phones quickly and painlessly. Canyon went above and beyond to make sure everyone in my family got all their questions answered. Mobile phone purchasing and transfers can sometimes be an unpleasant and even painful experience, but T-Mobile and Canyon specifically made the experience easy, fast, and even fun. Feel free to do business here if you like being disrespected and treated like a second class citizen by Gena, a sales rep. I walked in today when only 2 other customers were there and being helped. I stood there for 7 minutes without a single acknowledgement from any employee. Another customer being helped said "I'm sorry I'll be done in a couple minutes." I said "no problem, I just wish the employees would have acknowledged me by now." One minute later a lady walked in and employee Gena loudly stated to her "WELCOME TO T-MOBILE, WE WILL BE RIGHT WITH YOU!" Then looked right at me. That was it, that's when I wasn't going to stay silent. I voiced my issue and said "This is not how you treat customers." Gena then said "I know customer service, I've been doing it for 1.5 years. I'm sorry you're having a bad day." This employee was trying to bait me into saying or doing something to cross the line, which I would not oblige. Don't bother going in, just do everything online yourself. Employees don't take the time to listen to what you need, they just make assumptions and only focus on that. I wanted a new phone yesterday but the sales rep was only wanting to help me submit an insurance claim to replace my current phone. I wasn't looking to trade in my old phone and didn't care that it was damaged, I just needed a functioning phone that day and wanted something different than what I had. I think T-Mobile is a great phone company for the price and very helpful, but here's my story at this location. I got a OnePlus 3 which required a new nano-SIM card. In the past, I received a new card for free, but these guys told me it would be $20. The rep I was with told me I could call T-Mobile to cover it, so I did. The rep I talked to said this store should be able take care of it, but they would cover it anyways since I've been with Tmo for 16 years! The rep at this store still made me pay for the card even though T-Mo support said they were covering it. He said that I received a credit to cover it but the difference was around $4.50. This location need to figure out how to work with corporate in situations like this. The GM needs to know this is an issue and stop training his employees to be so aggressive towards customers. read more

BEWARE. I went in yesterday 12/1/18 to upgrade my phone. Come to find out the associate added $15/month insurance to my phone WITHOUT my consent. They didn't ask if I wanted it, they didn't even mention insurance once. Luckily I caught it within 24 hours so hopefully I won't be charged. Unfortunately I did not notice until after I filled out the customer feedback questionnaire. My advice to anyone reading this is either go to a different location or do your business online. Went to the store met Adam and Noah. Terrible employees. Way to aggressive about how much I should spend and very uninformed about the plans. They gave me a ton of incorrect information and lost the sale. Went to another T-Mobile and was given exactly what I wanted. Its partly ignorance, but more so overly aggressive sales guys like these, who don't know the product, but want to project a cocky assurance and they just say whatever they want. They lied. Outright. Have an issue with my prepaid data plan. Apparently they've changed things, making it difficult to use. I went into the store to explain that I'd added a credit balance to my account for future use. I was unable to see the balance anywhere. They were unable to resolve the issue as the changes are not even understood by T-Mobile staff, whether in-store or online or on the phone. The problem is, the store rep, frustrated by his inability to resolve my issue or even figure it out himself, became defensive about TMobile and kind of snippy. Geez, I wonder how this wimp would have handled a RUDE customer. I was simply explaining my frustrations, not angry or anything else, just clearly frustrated. This staff member is ill-equipped to handle anything but simple straightforward sales. Well, my dad switched us to T-mobile, so I had to go and switch over my service. The guys here really helped me, and worked with me to figure everything out. Although the process was pretty painful, the customer service guys here really did their best to help. Noah is the guy who helped me and he's great.
