Hah. My family has had nothing but horrible experience after horrible experience here. It did not surprise me to see the other extremely horrible reviews. The workers clearly work off commission, and unless you're there to buy something - they don't want to help you. I came in because I could not make or receive phone calls on a phone I *JUST* purchased two days prior.... I was told it was an issue on Apple's end (before they even looked at the phone at all) and I would have to call Apple... They said if I wanted to replace the *BRAND NEW* phone I would have to pay a restocking fee of over 50$... uhm. No. Turns out the only thing that was wrong with it was that it needed a new SIM card. They did eventually fix it, but I was very irritated because it was clear to me that since they weren't making money off of me they didn't care. Zero customer service skills. If I can give this At&t store a ZERO review I would. Super unprofessional place I went in to buy a wireless charger and nobody seemed to acknowledge me at all, there were two workers who finished helping clients and then ran off to the back not even acknowledging I was there. I literally had to say out loud this is crazy I just need to buy this accessory and this girl finally acknowledge and said I can help ring that out and then this girl in the front who I didn't even know was there because she was just sitting in front of computer lifted up her finger and said Oh no you don't help her she has to wait. Mind you she could have been professional enough to walk up to me and say hey since I'm not helping anyone I can quickly ring you out but she didn't because thats how unprofessional they are. They definitely need to get a better management personnel because apparently the one who is currently working doesn't seem to care all she did was sit in front of a computer acknowledging that I wasn't important enough to be helped. I will agree with all the other reviewers that this place sucks!!!! 2 reasons why I was not greeted at all or even considered....I'm white, and I was wearing a Desert Storm/Iraqi Freedom Veteran ballcap. Visalia and Tulare stores are the same way so I finally gave up on at&t completely! Came all the way from Visalia to Porterville's store for nothing! They lost a damn good customer with impeccable credit! Mexicans and Proud White Miltary Veterans just don't mix! They must think I'm immigration I guess. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! My brother-in-law [BIL] went to this store to "Transfer service" and take over an existing account! Sales rep Alfred or Alfredo was very happy-go-lucky getting my uncle to apply for an account & got him approved!, but as soon as he learned this would be a line transfer & not a new sale, no more Mr. Nice guy. I spoke to sales rep on the phone and he told me in order to transfer, I "had to cancel" my line, pay $250 early termination fee and have BIL open a brand new account with him, as he was unable to "transfer" any service. I asked him to hold while I called 611 and verify, as they had told me this WAS possible without paying $250 fee... His response: " I'M ON THE CLOCK and I cannot hold for you, I have to help other people here, you talk to BIL and decide what you want to do". I asked for his name and he just ignored me and handed the phone back to BIL... I asked BIL to put sales rep back on the phone, BIL told rep I wanted to speak with him again, but sales rep said he didn't need to talk to me again & refused to take the phone!! I then called AT&T, they informed me this WAS possible to do at the store free of charge, but the rep would have to call AT&T from the store! I told them what had happened @ store. AT&T rep said the store sales person gets no commission for doing this, it would just be a courtesy service! This is very sad, if the sales rep is "ON THE CLOCK", isn't he "ON THE CLOCK" to help consumers??? why wouldn't he spend 10 min. To take care of an existing customer???? No commission should not equal to terrible customer service! If anything, get a darn manager and have HIM help the customer and do the leg work!! It's really sad to know you'll gamble to have either Mr. Jakyll or Dr. Hyde assisting you.. Depending on whether they'll make commission off of you or not. Never setting foot here again!!! This place has the worst customer service ever! I walked in and was greeted by 3 door greeters. I sit and wait to buy a new Iphone. The place has 3 door greeters, 1 person helping with payments and 1 person who can only sell phones. I sat there for 30 minutes until I got up and walked out. They have plenty of staff why cant they train the others on the sales floor? Walked in to Target and bought my phone, walked out of the place within 30 minutes! read more

Tried to get an updated SIM card for a member on the plan who works 12+ hour days and who can't easily make it into the store. They wouldn't even lift a finger to help. I bet if I wanted to buy a new phone they would have bent over backwards, but they don't want us recycling old phones so they didn't want to update an old SIM card, without selling a new phone. Very dismissive employees who just stood by their policy. read more

I visited this location with what i thought would be a complex issue and make a change to my plan. I was helped right away even though they were very busy. The issue took 2 hours to resolve because it was relotively comex, but i am convinced that it would have taken longer at a different location. The emloyee and the manager that helped me went above and beyond to ensure that the issue was resolved. read more

Although they greet you at the door with a smile, that is the only thing pleasant about this particular store. The seating areas look nice but are impractical. The service is slower than molasses. Every employee looks busy, but no one seems to be getting helped. You will never wait less that an hour, and that's before you get to the counter and have to sit there and have a store employee try to get you to buy everything but what you went in for. I would suggest just staying home and suffering with your old phone. Even the frustration of your crappy and outdated device is less stressful than being in that store for more than 5 minutes. read more

I've lived in Porterville my entire life, and yesterday at the att store was the first time I have been ignored by the sales employees in one of our local businesses. I was so taken back by the employees attitude that I called the store owner, and low and behold it was obvious by the owners response, why the employees acted the way they did. The owner was rude, and defensive and at the end of the conversation he called me a racist!!!!. So if your looking for our welcoming hometown attitude I would not recommend the AT&T STORE on Henderson Ave. read more

This store deserves no stars really. Its always packed, beyond stressful when you wait a minimum of 30 min. Its dirty, and the customer service isn't completely terrible, but could definitely use some improvements. read more
