AT&T store located at 2160 N Coit, Richardson Tx. Manager Jeremy refused to transfer an existing phone number off my account to my ex-wife to open her own account. I went to AT&T store located at 5109 82nd Street Lubbock Tx. I Contacted Manager and she opened my account and placed comments under notes giving permission to have my ex-wife open her new account with preexisting number. I contacted the Manager Jeremy and informed him the notes under my account authorized my ex-wife to open her own account. Manager told me he was not going to do it and hung up on me. read more

Third Time's Not the Charm I've visited this AT&T store three times over the past few years, and unfortunately, today will be the last. After nearly 30 years as an AT&T customer, I've decided to take my business elsewhere - - and I strongly recommend that others do the same. Each visit to this location has been consistently disappointing. Every time I came in seeking help with my accounts, the staff were unable (or unwilling) to provide any meaningful assistance or accurate information. It's frustrating that a company of AT&T's size continues to tolerate such poor in-person customer service. There is an upside, however. These repeated negative experiences finally pushed me to explore other options - - and I'm so glad I did. I switched my entire family's mobile service to US Mobile, and the process has been painless, affordable, and surprisingly enjoyable. The level of customer support and transparency I've received from US Mobile has been a refreshing change. If you're considering your mobile carrier options, I highly recommend giving US Mobile a try - - and strongly discourage entrusting your business to AT&T. Sometimes, bad experiences lead to better choices, and this was certainly one of them. read more

This location needs more staff!! I've been waiting close to an hour, there's 3 people ahead of me and only 1 employee!

Would not recommend this location. The staff isn't even knowledgeable about their own services. I was eligible for an upgrade so I went in to trade in my phone. The employee that helped me ensured that because my phone was in perfect condition, I had a "credit", making two different iPhone's essentially free. "All you have to pay is sales tax", she told me. I decided which phone I wanted and I ended up taking my new phone home with my trade-in so that I could transfer everything. She said I had 14 days to bring my trade-in back in to the store. A few days later I took my trade-in phone back in to this store to drop it off. A different staff member informed me that the initial information I received about the "credit" making my new phone free, was incorrect. The manager came out and after about 10 minutes of conversation, they essentially told me that I now had to pay for my new phone, after one of THEIR employees ensured me it would be no cost to me, just the sales tax (which I paid when I got the phone). The manager was NOT helpful in the slightest and told me "because it was a mistake, we can't honor the mistake." That shouldn't matter. What your employee told me was incorrect but I made a decision based on what your employee told me and now I have to pay out of my own pocket because of it. Will not return to this location ever again and do not recommend at ALL. read more

Very disappointing experience. As a lifelong AT&T customer I expect more from the staff. First, I watched a woman come in to return a new iPhone she had purchased just a few days earlier that was not functioning only to be told to go to the APPLE STORE!?!? This woman had a receipt and everything and was clearly entitled to a refund or replacement (unless the phone had water damage), but she was summarily dismissed. I immediately knew I had come to the WRONG place. Still, I asked about adding a new line with a locked iphone I had purchased recently and she just passed the buck again. GO TO THE APPLE STORE, she said. Honestly, I don't understand why anyone would ever come back to this useless place that offers zero customer service. This is the absolute worst branch I have been to. Not enough staffing ever. There is also zero respect for peoples time as if "if you want it then you'll wait". Quick reminder that we pay for this service monthly and pay upwards of $1,000 per phone. To have this much of a lack of help or caring is nothing short of offensive. read more

When I called the store, no one answers the phone. When I showed up at the store, I had to wait over 40 minutes to be the next in line. I bought a new i phone 12 pro max and a new Android for my son from a young man named Austin in 11/2020. For the past 3 years I visited the store, he was the only person actually nice & honest about pricing & features. However, he left shortly 3 months after that. So, I am reluctant to post this because this AT&T location is my little secret. It is never packed and i rarely have to wait to be helped, and that is a rarity when it comes to these places. But i have to give these guys props because i consistently get excellent service here. I am a phone dummy so i need my hand held when i'm in there and they are always patient and thorough in their explanations and i don't ever feel rushed. I've never had a bad experience here. Went in on the 16th to buy an iPhone 7. Before letting them upload my phone I told the guy I wanted to make sure I did not have a problem with credit and wanted no surprises. He checked my credit and found I owed AT &T a past due bill from about 10 yeas ago. The management discussed it and talked to AT&T and said if I paid the bill, I would be fine. So I did and after spending 2 hours which I was told would be about 20 minutes waiting to get my old phone switched over because they only had one computer to do it and others were waiting I left the store. 5 days later I received a call from them saying AT&T wanted a security deposit of $195.00 and asked me to come in and take care of it. They said the salesman just forgot to add it on the bill. I told them no, and I would not pay it and had I know about it to begin with I never would have done it. I called AT&T and they said they don't know anything about it, and did not ask for a security deposit and would not have unless I had owed them maybe $1,000. Makes me wonder now if they are maybe doing this with a lot of people hoping they will "just come in" and pay them another $195.00. Sounds like they are scamming the public. Be aware. This place is great. Alex is my preferred ATnT sales associate. Every time I have had an issue, she is quick to give me my options. She is very fast and extremely professional, as is Moe and the rest of their crew. Alex was also a top provider at another cellular company and has been part of the cellular community for years. I have come to know the people in this store because of their speed and professional service every time I walk in. I like that they don't hound customers. This place is great! Had a great experience in the store, but was promised certain actions from the Assistant Manager, who shortly left thereafter, and never followed through. Upon bringing this to the attention of the store employees, they said the only person who could help me was the District Manger, Denis, who they would not provide a phone number for, but only an email, and he has yet to communicate with my husband or myself after 4 days of leaving messages and emailing him. We can't get a response, other than he has to request it through his manager, again, which no one will provide the name and contact information for. Sounds like the Asst Manager promised something he couldn't deliver, and now the store is dragging their feet, and will not provide helpful communication, or any communication on the part of the District Manager to keep us updated on the progress and to honor what their employees promise to customers. My husband and I walk in this AT&T at 12:30p.m on Wednesday October 14,2015. We were interested in upgrading or purchasing a new iPhone. As soon as we walked in, one employee was on the phone while the other sales associate just sat behind her desk top waiting for us to come to her. No kind of greeting welcome, How can I help you? nothing. When she finally acknowledged that we were in the store was rude and annoyed with every question we had. I dont even think she looked up our account she told us we didnt have any insurance when we knew that indeed we did have insurance! She tried to tell us we had to pay $700.00 to purchase a new phone and nothing else could be done! She was real short and quick to get us out of the store. After a few moments of this extremely rude service we decided go to the next closest AT&T. It was at this other location where they confirmed we were insured and all we had to do was file a claim online. Really? She was too busy being rude that she couldn't just tell us that! We decided to call this location back to get her name to do exactly this and after we did that same phone number mysteriously dialed us back 2 minutes later! When we answered no one responded. Most likely they were prank calling us. My husband said hello 5x and it was just quite on the other end. Long story short, AT&T customers beware of sales associate name ALEX. I rarely write reviews....mostly because I am very picky and I have high expectations that are rarely met much less exceeded. The manager at this store, Daniel, was amazing. Most people in retail these days have almost no customer service skills and even fewer "people" skills. Daniel is a rare exception, he helped me upgrade my phone and made sure everything from my old phone transferred. He helped me make changes to my uverse and home phone service and happily answered every question I had. I will never go to another store and I HIGHLY recommend this location in general and its manager, Daniel, in particular. read more
