I only stopped by after seeing a sign for a farmer's market on Saturday morning while I was at Bommarito Bakery. This is a cute neighborhood garden nursery. You will find garden supplies inside and a nice selection of plants outside. It is worth the stop if you are in St. Clair Shores, especially on the weekend when there is the small "farmer's market" with very fresh-looking fruits and vegetables.

I come here weekly during the summer and fall months to get all of my produce. The prices are competitive with local chain groceries stores and I love to support this friendly, small family owned business. They are open daily from 9am- 5pm and closed on Tuesdays from Mid July through Halloween. Today I bought some beautiful pumpkins and plan on returning later this week to get some mums for my fall decorations. Honey Bee Farms was there today giving away samples and educating people about local raw honey. A small business supporting another! As someone who has been supporting Irma's for over a decade, I highly recommend you check them out.

Aside from that, I wish I had more shopping time because their store was full of the cutest garden decorations and plenty of seasonal plant baskets. They run deals all the time, so it's easy to make your garden cute on a budget. Their workers were all so friendly and patient. Parking was ample. Formerly Eckert's Greenhouse, which I only went to sporadically because of their prices. I was driving up Ryan and saw a 50% off all annuals in the 2nd to the last week in June! I slammed on my brakes, and went in to check it out. Holy guacamole! Their hanging baskets are regularly $14.99 each, or $12.99 each when you buy 3, so 50% off made them $7.50 or $6.50 each! No joke. I ended up spending $90 and almost couldn't fit all the plants in my car. I thought I had plenty, then I was driving up Ryan 3 days ago, July 8, and saw a sign for 75% off. You have got to be kidding me?! Screetch!!!!! Pulling over again. This time I only spent $60, and again had a time getting it all into my car. This place is awesome!!!!!!!!!
