We came here after a few near by AT&T stores didn't have actual functioning phones, just like dummy phones that don't work. We come in and it's empty so no wait or anything. We were paired with I assume Ryan G based on my receipt (screen shot). After being told what phones we were looking at he immediately went from smiles and friendly to trying to talk my husband out of the purchase or to go for a "better" phone. When he finally made his decision he kept shaking his head and saying "oh I wouldn't do it", "No one buys that phone" and other off comments about the whole thing. My husband doesn't use his phone much especially with work from home and wanted a smaller device, the sales man kept trying to push the pro series. I get they work off commission but trying to talk someone into a 450 upgrade they clearly don't want isn't helpful or warranted the way he went about it. Then when asked about colors, made fun of/laughed the colors my husband like and said "yeah I don't like those, why don't you at least get this color". Complained about the time it would take to do a phone transfer when back up wasn't working on his current phone. The manager? That was on shift would make faces like "what are you saying!?" But never stepped in. Over all the entire process was very unprofessional and will be going to a different AT&T store from now on. We are new to the area and this store has pretty okay reviews on google but I wish I checked Yelp. read more

Worst ATT I've ever been too. Service personnel here were worse then anything I've ever experienced. 4 workers available here, stretching and drawing out customer experiences. My name was taken and i waited over 45 minutes and still was never updated with ETA time to assist. I ended up calling customer service on my phone while in store to take care of my issue instead of having a 1 on 1 with a person the service was THAT bad! I think ppl here screen customers for issues vs sales and then prioritize based on commission sales. If I'm not buyin' I'm not valued! It's locations like this that want you to consider changing carriers because the staff has no clue how to improve customer retention and their in store greet and on boarding is unprofessional and lacks engagement. Don't go here and be deceived by the beautiful newer building and big screen. People here clearly aren't hired to assist on the customer experience, there sharing for sales and anything they can add on to gullible unknowledable customers. I witnessed so many people here being COERCED to buying add ons and warranties on items they probably never needed. I've already voiced my opinions on this experience with AT&T, but I came here yesterday on account of my phone being dead and trying to see what kind of replacement options I had and I was very disappointed with how the AT&T rep James acted. James was there to help me but his help was incredibly limited. You could tell from his demeanor that he simply didn't care about my issue and seemed bothered that I had stopped in as soon as they opened. Instead of offering me real solutions, James told me to drive for THREE hours to the Apple Store to get a new phone. Are you kidding me? And then to make matters worse, when one of my coworkers was trying to work things out so I could add a phone to my account with our business account, he was told directly by AT&T corporate customer service that James would need to speak with them to discuss the account. James refused. When he got on the phone with my coworker he was rude and basically just said there was nothing he could do. I never got angry with James at any point in our encounter but instead expressed that I was very distressed because my phone wasn't working. James didn't care. James didn't want me around. James was rude and unhelpful. I would NEVER come back to this store and would love to speak to (and plan to speak to) a manager about the horrid service I experienced. This store needs to work on creating a good customer experience. I've been with AT&T for five years and thus expect to be treated like a good, courteous customer and not some piece of trash on the side of the road. read more

So my only run-ins with the staff at the Governor's Square AT&T store have both occurred in the past two weeks, both dealing with the new iPhone release. As anybody who tried to pre-order an iPhone 4 online knows, it was damned near impossible to get through and thus if you wanted one on launch day you needed to venture out into the meat-space and get into a brick-and-mortar store and pre-order one. On pre-order day the staff was quick and organized - even better so on iPhone launch day. While I don't anticipate going back into this store any time soon as I'm perfectly happy with my phone, I'd recommend anybody else who needs AT&T service stop in here. Only gripe is that they need more parking for big event days! read more

I wish everyone would move over to Verizon then I could go back to a dependable company. I am in this store and all others in town wayyyy to much. So I've been getting calls and text every hour on the hour through the holidays. One afternoon I'm at shock from the amount of peace and quiet I am getting. I look down at my iphone "NO SIM CARD" WTF? I check YouTube. There are some quick fixes but the people that leave comments are saying walk it into the store. I come in and tell the guy my problem. He takes me phone does something and I'm out the door. Well the problem pops up again and I'm on Ocala by then. So I go into that store where the this kind woman changes my Sim Card and reactivates it (takes 30 minutes). She tells me this is the standard fix for this issue. So I wish I had the name of the person that "helped" me - stupid douch! But it all the store is just decent with service. In prior times, I had been held for long discussions about a product just for them to go back and tell me they don't have it. Once I had technical issues with my Blackberry and tech actually told me to "DRIVE" down to Orlando where they could help me. I should have stayed with Verizon - I'm only here for the rollover minutes. read more

We were with them for 10 years, and with kids bill grew to 350 a month. You know, we thought this was normal, pay to play so to speak, cost of having cell service. Well we came to a point in life we needed to trim the fat off our bills, and were contemplating no cell phones, I know right!?! So we looked around, we switched to t mobile, 5 lines unlimited everything for 150 a month, and same service, no dropped calls or horror stories you hear. Just kick myself in the ass for paying 200 a month for so long for same damn services!! Just giving my 2 cents, there are better options out there, and these companies will take your money with a smile on their faces knowing they are screwing you! Be smart, I wish I had known. The cherry on top? When I canceled with at&t, they didn't ask why or how they could keep us, just see ya later! read more

These guys working here are ridiculously slow... been skipped while waiting and the check in is so unorganized. Saw nothing but a whole bunch of employees sitting in the back while multiple people are bored out of there mind watching tv and going back and forth pretending to look at cases. I had a really good experience here. Woke up today with no phone reception because my former employer had cancelled my plan before I switched (my fault!) I walked in to the store and wasn't sure if I should set up a new account or join my family's. James worked with me to understand all of my options at various price points. I walked out with a functioning phone 20 mins later at a really good price. The difficulties that reviewers are experiencing is most likely due to lack of staffing at high business times. I noticed there were only two staff present. I recommend going in to the store mid-morning on a work day to avoid those issues. read more

This shop should be put out of business. The girl sold me two phones to add to my plan before X-mas for my 10 and 11 year old girls. She apparently sold me on a plan that didn't exist to get her quota. I would not have purchased the phones and added the plans to my account if I had not been lied too. I returned to the store 3 months later to talk to the manager and was basically told sorry it's my associate word against yours. Apparently they don't use contracts anymore so you don't what you are getting until the bill comes in the mail. In this case it was automatically taken out of my account. I called the corporate office etc. No fix or owning up to the Mgr and associate deception. All they wanted me to do was up grade to unlimited. About 10 hours on the phone and two trips to the store. They treated me as I was lying even after I showed them how the promo wasn't activated. They got me good. Well it will not ever happen again. My suggestion to anyone else would be to purchase your plan at Costco or Sams. If you have a problem with the vendor at either one of those stores you can take it up with the General Mgr. of the store. If anyone is interested I have both names of the store manager and the associate involved. Don't let this happen to you. read more

As a whole, AT&T should not be known for its customer service. Among AT&T stores, this one is not the worst I have been to, but also not the best. The employees just really don't seem to care. I asked about the difference between the AT&T upgrade plan and Apple's upgrade plan for iPhones, and the associate in the store had zero idea. Maybe a little more employee education? read more

I stood there for 15 min without anyone even acknowledging my presence. When I went to talk to someone about the approx wait-time, she refused to talk to me.
