ALERT - Deceptive, dishonest salesperson! Purchased a new phone from S. Venice AT&T store. Salesperson was rushing through contract and avoiding clarifying questions. I confirmed several times the exact amount my bill would be with the installments. He said only the monthly new phone installment amount would be added to my current amount. As soon as the transaction was done, he disappeared, I had additional questions on setup. When I received my new estimated bill there were additional services I never was informed of or agreed to! The salesperson added insurance $16. and anytime upgrade $10. Confirm your contract price before leaving the store to avoid addition charges by a dishonest salesperson! read more

Purchased a phone less than 48 hours ago on a Saturday and was there well over four hours. I was told by EVERY staff member that I had two weeks to return or exchange if I had ANY issues. I'm having serious battery life issues. The other two phones I purchased are not. AT&T flat out refused to help me. They said I could downgrade my Apple 16 pro max to a plus if I wanted to exchange it. Otherwise I had to physically go to the Apple Store to "take it up with them." Called Apple. The Apple employee said they should have replaced the phone for me immediately at AT&T. It seemed like at one point one of the AT&T employees was willing to help me but was quickly shushed by another one. I would definitely get it in writing not just taking their word for it that they will replace the phone within 14 days. To be honest Xavier, who I dealt with was completely unprofessional and even appeared high. Would give this store zero stars if I could. I absolutely do not recommend purchasing equipment there just for the fact that if you have an issue, you cannot return it. read more

Had brand new samsung note 20 ultra ..the phone had a download update and when I turned it back on I could no longer send or receive pictures.. After messing with best buy and samsung support for 2 days on the phone, I went and made appointment with this Att store ..came in and met Will, a big dude explained my problem and within 10 minutes the problem was fixed by Will and I was on my way.. Thanks again Will !!! You were awesome and don't know how much that meant to ME, a helpless technology old man..You rock !! And made my weekend!!! read more

So after having a horrible experience at the AT&T store in Port Charlotte I needed to come back to another location because I refuse to go to the one I was at previously. I had walked in and proceeded to tell the salesman about my previous experience at the Port Charlotte location. I told the salesman the issues that I was experiencing with my phone and he happily helped me out. The both of us laughed and had a great time he had made some changes to my account and also offered some technical support. So as of now this is the only AT&T store that I will go to. I am still very surprised with all the poor reviews that I have written about The Port Charlotte store that nobody has contacted me. I don't know if that is AT&T corporate themselves that are not replying to me or if it was just the stores alone. I am satisfied with my service at this point in time. This is the only location that I will go to. read more

My friend and I went to the store today as she wanted to change her phone with a phone I gave her. I had a different issue involving very slow service. The store was not busy and we were approached by Jay, who asked us to have a seat for a few minutes while he finished helping another customer. Jay was extremely knowledgeable and had my friend's new phone up and running in less than 15 minutes. My issue was also a quick fix which Jay showed me how to do myself, in case it happened again. Jay provided us with exemplary customer service, and should be recognized. If you have a phone problem, or are shopping for a new phone or plan..ask for Jay! read more

I don't know what's wrong with this store but I have now had three bad experiences there with unfriendly, sometimes down right hostile staff. They seem to prefer arguing to helping & enjoying make big fun of their customers. In talking to my friends & neighbors, my experience is far from alone. Won't go back there & think the management needs a change or to do some retraining with their staff. read more

I'm not sure why people put 1 Star because this store is an easy 10 star store. Shout out to Zach and the rest of the associates at this store. I came in this store just out of curiosity and ended up leaving with new phones for my family as well as a new Apple Watch and IPad. Zach was such a great help. He was very prompt and respectful to me and my family and he was able to find a better deal than my current phone provider. Zach and his associates really know how to treat people. I have been to this location a few times. EVERY SINGLE TIME they have a wait the size of a giant whale! The store itself is set-up nicely and is neat and clean. The customer service here sucks. The lady who "checks you in" just walks around with her lil tabet like she owns the place and doesnt do anything else! She just tells you that the estimated wait time will be about 30 mins. Now why would AT&T hire someone to walk around and tell people how long they have to wait? She doesnt even help the customers! IMO thats a useless employee! For about the 16 people who were waiting, there was ONE small bench that could seat like 4. So the rest had to stand restlessly and wait their turn. The reps in the meantime, take their sweet time paying no attention to their growing line. A store this big needs about 8-10 reps to function effectively. They had like 3 people working! (Minus Ms. Check In) I was in a hurry, trying to get in- and out in a snap. All I needed was to pay for a new cell phone and be out the door. No activation, no opening the box, NOTHING. IN and OUT. Of course that didnt happen.. I ended up getting out of there and telling Ms. Check In that I dont have this kind of time to waste. If you can go to another AT&T store, DO. I got MUCH faster service at the mall! I was out with a new phone in 5 mins! Disgraceful! read more

Alycia provided the WORST customer service at this store. Mom went to the store but couldn't be helped because her name was not put on the account as an authorized user. She was sent away to call me all the way up here in NY. I called customer service to add her as a new authorized user on the account at 2:37pm. After calling customer service, Mom returned to the store at 3:15pm just to be told that her name is still not as an authorized user on the account. Alycia was trying to send her away to do the exact same thing we just did on the phone with customer service. So, Mom called me to explain the situation to her. I got on the phone with her, explained what I had just done less than an hour ago. Her response was to "go back on the phone, call customer service, and get my mom's name put on the account." I explained to her that I just did that, there must be a glitch. If I call back customer service, wouldn't the same thing happen again? So instead I asked her to call customer service from the store while I am on the phone so I wouldn't have to do the run around. She told me that she cannot call customer service. So basically, she is telling me to go do the run around for all she cares. She offered no other solution than one I told her I've already done. So at this point, I'm frustrated and raised my voice to ask her do her job and SERVE CUSTOMERS and offer some kind of problem-solving suggestion as a customer service rep. She handed the phone back to my mother, told me to stop yelling at her, and then refused to talk to me again. So I guess I just had to either call customer service again and do the run around or drop AT&T. My mom told me to calm down on the phone, so I did. I asked my mom to hand the phone back to Alycia so I could ask her for the store information in case the same glitch happens again. Alycia refused to take the phone to speak with me--who is the account holder of this cellular service. She literally refused to speak to me, THE CUSTOMER. If you can't take pressure from a customer and don't know how to handle sticky inquiries, get out of the customer service industry and go find yourself another job. You're going to have frustrated customers. I know I raised my voice out of frustration, but seriously, offer some helpful suggestions or explanations instead of telling what the customer to repeat what he/she already told you she/he just did. She gave up helping me as a customer after 20 seconds of my frustrating rant, which was caused by her. I was calm when I was first put on the phone with her. Worst problem-solver ever! If you must stop by this store, do yourself a favor and ask for a different customer rep. read more

It is impossible to get an employee on the phone here and when you do they are rude and obviously don't want to help you.

We had a phone that got wet and had to purchase a new one At the Venice, FL store.. It was with out a doubt the worst experience I have had at an ATT store. The gentlemen that waited on us either had the worst cold in history or a very bad habit of snorting so loud I had to leave the store. Not one person in this store has a personality. It looks like the world of the "walking dead". No one explained anything about the new phone. The second person we worked with had the personality of the WALL and it was very uncomfortable. SO much for customer service and support. Shame on the ATT Manager at that site in VENICE FL. read more
