I asked if the phone would function on the existing 4G SIM and he said "No" and then backtracked and said "it'll be slow" Then I asked if there was wifi available to speed up activation, he comes back with a simple "don't need that", I mention "yes but it'll be faster than the 1.5Mbps on the cell in here" It just got unnecessarily tense really quickly and straight answers from Orlando were few and far between. He ended up double charging and then backtracked on the fact she couldn't register a new SIM without being the account owner. Visit was a waste of time and frankly Orlando had a really awful demeanor toward folks that didn't pay him any disrespect.

They made the process super easy by just stopping in to pickup a SIM card for our existing phones. I recently scheduled a visit with Spectrum to pickup one more SIM and it was super painless even during Corona quarantine. While their cable pricing drives me crazy with upcharges, taxes and increases, their cell service has been awesome, and saved us quite a bit with no data limits.

I contacted them and asked what do you have for long time loyal customers because I wanted a new phone and I was told absolutely nothing for current customers. This kind of left a bad tast in my mouth because I have been with them for so long and I was not offered 0 for my loyalty and some Joe shmo walks in and gets the goodies. I looked at US cellular and they had a promo of up to $650 for switching phone numbers to them so I went over to find out more, I know I'm not getting $650 to switch over. Brandon went over all the options/promos and I was only eligible for $250 off the galaxy S9 with a $100 gift card, well that's a total of $350 which is not bad so I bought the S9, two week new on the market which I didn't know. Well US Cellular is now my new cell company and the whole experience was easy with no activation fees and forward pricing. In the S9 box was a so called $100 retail value wired headphones by Harmon that actually sounded very good but lacked bass, I transferred music in via computer to test them into the phone. Crisp/tight with nice highs and very clear for ear buds. All Verizon had to do is look at my length of time with them and if they threw like $50 off a new phone I would have felt good and bought a new phone from them but unfortunately they could care less even when I told the of the US Cell promos, so I'm a new US cellular customer now.

After having a Crackberry through US Cellular for six painful years, its been a relief to have clear reliable service with Verizon. I don't miss US Cell, and I don't miss the series of shitty Blackberries my employer has provided me with over the years. If there is a museum out there looking for artifacts for their cell phone display, I have one of every BB since the 7100. Remember that one? it was the one that was the size of an iPad and had that retarded thumb wheel on the side. But I digress...
