It turned out the man was suffering from dementia and had misrepresented himself. I called back within two hours and canceled. I was feeling guilty about putting the business through this. It was my first time coming in and it was a drop-off. There's a shutter window and a doorbell to the left for drop-off only. Check-in was fast and their initial turn-around was about 3 days. I had dropped off some bedding and I didn't know the correct wording between mattress cover and bed sheets . I initially got overcharged but that's entirely my fault. Next day comes and I get a text notification that my order is ready - super fast! Pick-up will be in the back and they will be in clear bags supplied by them, labeled by first name. A kind employee made me know that I was overcharged and the owner had already refunded the difference. Overall I greatly appreciated their transparency and quick turnaround. I decided to check out At Your Service Laundry because of the great reviews. I was looking for a place that would wash our king comforter. Unfortunately, all the places here in Elk Grove didn't seem to have that service, or they simply would dry clean it. And their reviews weren't as good as At Your Service. So I decided to head out there (20 minute drive for me) and I'm glad I did. I dropped off the comforter around noon and it was ready a few hours later. Not to mention the price was really good and the workers that helped me were very friendly. They did a great job. The comforter was placed in a nice carry bag and it smelled great! Wanted to use this service but when we went in, the lady working the desk told us we couldn't see the weight before to see what the price would be around. We have never used a laundry service before so we were just trying to see how much this would come out to be. She basically was saying commit or don't. She also told my husband that a stand up laundry basket was around $60.. which seems completely insane and not $1.50 per pound like they advertise? An average basket of laundry is around 10-12 pounds so that's when we need it was a little shady.
