I initially chose this cleaner because it was nearby and affordable. While my first few visits were acceptable, service issues began to occur when some of my shirts were not ready on time. The final issue was far more serious: one of my shirts was lost. The owner contacted me initially, but after a few text messages, he stopped responding. Despite multiple attempts to follow up by phone and text, I have received no response and no resolution. Since my shirt has never been returned, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I took two uniforms in to have the hem reinforced and dry cleaned. When I went in to pick them up the pant legs on the uniforms were reinforced with no issues but the dry cleaning had not been done. The uniforms had the same marks on them as when I turned them in. They also smelled like dirty water and they had not smelled like that when I turned them in. I asked if they would dry clean them again and they told me they would call me when they were done. I never received a call after a week and a half. I went in and picked them up again and they smelled exactly the same. For a dry cleaning place, they are not very good at the dry cleaning part. read more

I'm split on this review. Let's start at the beginning. I went in to redeem a Groupon and the clerk told me that she didn't know how to use the Groupon. That's not good. I wasted a trip and had to come back another day. When I returned another day the clerk had someone else handle the Groupon. She STILL didn't know how to do it. I then told the clerk that I wanted a shirt laundered. She told me that it had to be dry cleaned. I took her word and kept it moving. She was wrong. The Groupon clearly states Dry cleaning AND laundry services! That's NOT cool. To end the transaction they take almost a week to get your dry cleaning done. I came in Tuesday and it won't be ready until Monday. I'm not used to it taking six days for simple dry cleaning. read more

I brought two items to Expert Discount Cleaners as I saw that they provided alteration services. I had brought one pair of pants that were too long and one of my boyfriend's sweatshirts that my dog had chewed a hole in. I was met with a friendly employee who was clear when explaining pricing and timing. Additionally I requested an earlier pick up that originally stated, thankfully they were able to accommadated. The pricing was affordable and daily available discounts were listed at the front desk. When i returned and picked up the items I was very impressed. My clothes were well taken care of and even cleaned (which I had not paid for). The stitching was excellent on the pants as well as the sweatshirt which looked brand new. I have now found my go-to alteration location! read more

Today is 1-16-18. New Manager is young man by the name of Ferdaus Mohammad. He called me to tell me to come in to see how he can remedy the negligence of the prior owner-manager....see my September 2016 Post. That prior guy was a typical scumbag. A real fast talking sack of Bull. Could not even look you in the eye as he ran game. Anyway, Mr. Mohammad went to back of operation in order to come back shortly with my pants that were lost over a year ago. He had them in hand. He cared enough to find them. They were however damaged in that the Zipper was now not functional. So he repaired the Zipper at no cost. He did an excellent job. And he gave me a $45 worth of service credited to my account in order to remedy the sins of the prior owner operator. Obviously, Mr. Muhammad cares about reputation, honest integrity, and the satisfaction of his customers when operating his business. I am now very pleased and will continue to come here with my future business provided this young man is still allowed to do good. Started using this cleaners because it was close they started with a grade of A. But that came to a screaching halt mysteriously one of my shirts has come up missing, was supposed to pick up on July 27 and it is now August 12 one shirt came back and the other is gone. The new manager has been more help in a few days than the previous employees that said they were looking for my shirt at another location. I have come to use Expert Discount Cleaners as my "go to" dress shirt laundry. Not only are their prices reasonable, but they do really good work. No matter how dirty my shirts come in, they always leave clean, pressed, and ready for the office. Their service is very efficient and professional. Once they pre-treated a stain and the stain remover didn't wash out completely, leaving a small spot on the pocket. I returned the shirt; they re-washed and pressed the shirt for free, no questions asked! I will continue to use this cleaner for all my laundry needs. read more

I cannot attest to the quality of their Dry Cleaning services; however, if you're thinking of having anything altered by Expert Discount Cleaners - I would advise against it. I brought in a pair of pants on a Saturday to be altered; taken in on both sides of the pant leg starting at the knee, and then hemmed (I tried the pants on at home and my husband marked exactly how much to take in on each side of the pant, in addition to marking where we wanted the hem). I needed the pants for a trip I was taking the following Wednesday and so paid an additional $9.00 expediting fee (on top of the $20.00 alteration charge) to have the pants done by Tuesday. Had to make 2 trips to the Cleaners on Tuesday (first stop was at 1:00 pm & was told pants would not be ready until 5:00 pm - phone call would have been nice). I didn't look at the pants until Wed. am and what I found was an alteration job that had been performed without turning the pants inside out first??? I mean, c'mon guys - even a beginner seamstress wouldn't make such an elementary mistake. To make a long story short, I have been going back and forth with the owner of this Dry Cleaner for nearly 3 weeks now. I asked for a full refund, plus the cost of the pants (when I finally got the pants back the 2nd time they had been hemmed way too short (plus other mistakes) - not per my instructions & markings). Initially he offered me a 10% courtesy discount (which doesn't even cover the $9.00 I paid for the expedited service of which I never received). His final offer was a $9.00 refund for the expedited charge and $3.00 off of the $20.00 alteration fee. Needless to say, I will be taking the owner & his business to small claims court in the near future to collect the remaining amount of the $29.00 charge, the cost of the pants and the time I've had to take off work to deal with this issue - plus court costs... read more

This is the worst cleaner I have ever been to! So, I took my wallet and my shoes to be clean. The owner charged me $45 for both. I had to wait 2 weeks and half to have them back! I'm just so pissed off that I receive my stuff the same way dirty. I call and text the owner but it's seems he doesn't care! Please don't go there for cleaning clothes or anything else. The business is dirty and nasty their customer service is super bad they just don't care if their customers are unhappy.. never in my life coming back to this stupid business. Service is terrible! Left a pair of pants for over a week to have zipper fixed. Upon arrival, lady seemed to have amnesia when I gave her receipt. For a minute, she ran around like chicken with her head cut off. Obviously, she forgot where she placed pants. Pants hasn't been touched since a week ago due to the stack of clothing on top of pants. I paid 31.00 dollars last week to get 2 pair of pants hem let out and both pair cleaned. When I went to pick them up I was charged another 31.00 because I was told that I hadn't paid. I played cash so I cant dispute the charges. If you go to that cleaner make sure that you check your receipt before you leave I WILL NEVER use them again. They charge to much to hem pants. WOW, how about giving me a call? He says it will be ready the next day, I come 2 days later: Oh sorry, its not here yet! Are you kidding me?! I told them I will not be driving million times, they should call me and update me. I told them they will have to deliver it to my house, he agreed. Delivered to my house, 2 almost 3 weeks later... hmm... A bunch of fuzzes on the coat, doesn't look like they did a good job, and I couldn't find the button that was newly sewed in. First off, I have never before written a Yelp review or a negative review of any business. But in light of the absolutely terrible saga I've been through with Expert Discount Cleaners over the past eight months, I feel compelled to warn anyone and everyone in the community to avoid this establishment like the plague! Back in August of 2017, I took four items of clothing (2 dress shirts and 2 pairs of suit pants) to Expert Discount Cleaners for dry cleaning. When I returned to pick up these items, I was only given three of them back. The store clerk could not locate one of the pairs of suit pants that I had left for dry cleaning and sewing/hemming. I immediately presented my claim ticket to show that I had not received one of the pairs of suit pants back. For the several months that followed, I returned in person on multiple occasions and made numerous phone calls to check if my suit pants had been located. On each of these occasions, the store clerk would either tell me to return at a different time or day to speak with a different clerk, or claim that the pants were still being located and that I should check back again later. Basically, no one seemed to want to take responsibility for the issue. I finally got the owner's phone number a few weeks ago. Despite assuring me that the issue would be resolved, he still has not resolved it. Unfortunately I can't leave voicemail messages with him because his mailbox is full (how convenient), but I have recently texted him several times with information including the claim ticket and description of the item lost, only to receive no messages or calls back. Adding insult to injury, the one time I was able to get a hold of him on the phone, he claimed that at most he would only have to provide me $40, despite the fact that the replacement cost of the pants is $200. Thus after eight months, this cleaners has neither located my missing suit pants nor provided me the replacement amount. I had actually planned on wearing that particular suit to a wedding next month, but obviously can't do so without the pants. At the end of the day, a business shouldn't take advantage of its customers. In this situation, I feel like I've been given the "run around" for months, with the owner and staff presumably hoping that I'll finally just give up trying to get my suit pants back. But especially after reading that I'm not the first customer of this dry cleaners who has been treated in this negligent manner, I'm not giving up. I'm filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau. At the very least, the community deserves to know that this establishment has a history of mismanagement and taking advantage of its customers. I am still hopeful that this issue can be resolved, and will of course update this review if my missing pants issue is appropriately resolved. In the meantime, though, if I were you, I'd most definitely take my dry cleaning and business elsewhere! read more

Signs everywhere on the street, on the building and inside the shop stating "any garment cleaned for $2.99". While setting up a new account, I noticed a small sign that indicated that there was a recent price increase to $3.99 for any garment. So when I turn in a ladies suit jacket, I am informed that the price is now $7.99. When I question all the signs indicating a much lower price, the lady says that any suit pieces are higher. I will be filing a formal complaint with the State and County Consumer Affairs office for false advertising. read more

If you want to experience being taken to the cleaners this is the place for you. Our son was new to the Sacramento area and took his new suit pants into Expert Discount Cleaners back Late August of 2017. When he went to pick up the dry cleaning that included 2 shirts and 2 suit pants they only gave back 3 items stating they would look for the missing pants and contact him. He made many calls and went by several times yet still no pants. The pants are from a suit that he had only worn a few times. The suit cost over $400 and the pants can not be purchased alone. Joseph A Banks provided receipts to back up the purchase and he also provided the claim ticket and picture of the pants. Our son informed the owner that the retailer had the suit on sale for $200 and asked he reimburse him $200 so that I could have his suit to wear again. He offered him $40. They lost his pants and gave him the run around for 8 months and then never acknowledged their mistake. Do not take your cleaning there as you may loose more than your shirt! read more

THey never even attempted to call me to give me a heads up. I would rate this place a 0. Finally got my pants back and they were never even trimmed at all. They still made me pay. I don't understand why this business is receiving a negative review. I've been a customer for a while, and I have nothing but the great things to say. This place is the least expensive place (dry cleaning starting at $2.99 a piece) whereas all the other cleaners near by charge more than double for the same item. The quality of service is more than 5 stars. They know what they are doing and does a fantastic job with dry cleaning as well as alteration. They replaced my pants zipper for under $10 with a coupon on the website and the turnaround time was only a few days. This cleaner offers a same day service, which means if you drop off your garment in the morning, you get them back the same evening. I definitely recommend the expert discount cleaners to friends and family. read more
