I use them because they pick up and drop off at my office building. I like the regular schedule...knowing I can dump stuff in the box one day and it will be delivered back a couple of days later...fire and forget. One thing I don't like is that they remove the collar stays on my shirts, ostensibly to launder and iron them. This makes perfect sense, but they don't put them back in! So then I'm scrounging around looking for collar stays at home. This is not unique to Prestige but can't figure out why this is so hard for cleaners to understand...if you take something out of my shirt, please put it back. And if you can't put it back, can you at least give me the collar stays so I can put them in myself?! Also--in one isolated incident--they charged me extra to try and get the wrinkles out of a seersucker shirt. I would have expected that a company that specializes in fabrics and fabric item care would know that seersucker fabric is BY DESIGN puckered and rough...but no amount of ironing is going to remove it! I got my wedding dress back around 2-3 weeks after dropping it off. The box it comes back in is huge! I wish it was a little smaller because it makes it a headache to store in my house, takes up slot of room. But the box is sealed with a transparent cover so I can open it and view it without ever jeopardizing its integrity. read more

I had previously been a long-standing and very satisfied customer of Prestige Cleaners for the past 5+ years, as they provide dry cleaning pick up & drop off at my downtown office building. That, plus their very competitive pricing, made them a no-brainer for all of my dry cleaning and laundry needs. However, a recent experience with them has me no longer willing to give them my business: I recently purchased a truly awesome Cuban-style button-up shirt. I wore it twice and then dropped it off for laundry service. The tag inside the shirt clearly reads "do not dry clean - cold wash only", yet when my shirt was returned to me, the receipt clearly showed that the shirt was dry cleaned (and I was charge $9.40 for the service, which incidentally seems more than I was usually charged?) Unfortunately, when I went to put the shirt on, it had been dramatically shrunk, both width-wise as well as lengthwise. I called up Prestige to let them know, because hey - these things happen, and the (thankfully few) times similiar situations have occured in the past, they did right by me, first by trying to somehow magically "stretch" the shirt back out and, if not possible, giving me credit for the cost of the item. Jane answered the phone and, once I told her what had happened, she said to send it back to them (attention her) and she would ensure they do what they could to return it to it's former/correct size. Long story (not so) short, shirt come back, zero change in size (still tiny), so I rang her up again, expecting her to apologize and offer up the credit. Instead, she was less than friendly, first seemingly surprised/confused by the fact that it was originally dry cleaned when it shouldn't have been (as the tag clearly reads... and my receipt clearly shows what I was charged for), but then she relayed that she had mentioned this to her boss, who said that there was "no way that dry cleaning could have shrunk this shirt." Despite the tag saying DO NOT DRY CLEAN. She said to send it back again and she would show it to her boss. I asked what the potential outcome of that would be and she replied, "I don't know. That will be for him to decide." No thanks. My business is earned, not assumed, and had they simply offered up an apology and did right by what was clearly their mistake (the shirt didn't shrink itself!), they could've kept me as a customer. It will be inconvenient for me to take dry cleaning somewhere else in person and have to pick up in person, but I'm not going to reward shoddy service (both laundering as well as customer) with repeat business. Damn shame. They had me as a customer and would've been so simple to keep me as one. read more

I work downtown and this place comes to my office twice a week, so, let me start by saying, I used them only because they are the ones who are already coming to the building. I have no complaints about the quality of the garments that come back dry cleaned. The prices are higher than if you brought the clothes to a dry cleaner yourself, but, I figure that's the cost of pick-up and delivery. It doesn't seem like much, but, it's nice to have that type of a service and I'm willing to pay the extra few bucks to have someone bring it to me. They have never missed a day and are always timely. My one complaint is that they will not default to a shirt launder if you are a woman. If you put a collared women's shirt in your bag, they will dry clean it. This is so even if the shirt is 100% cotton. Obviously, the dry cleaning service is more expensive. I already told you that I am a person who would pay extra to have my dry cleaning delivered, so, I am sure it comes as no surprise to you that I also do not enjoy ironing my own clothes. Accordingly, sometimes I have my cotton button-ups laundered so that I don't have to iron them myself. This means that I have to write a note out and staple it to my bag to ask them to launder my cotton shirts. If I do that, they will launder them, rather than dry clean them. (Except for this one time I had a cotton button-up shirt with metal snaps instead of buttons - that time they called me to tell me they COULD NOT launder it - it had to be dry cleaned.) We have loads of other people that use the service - mostly men - and they do not have to request that their shirts be laundered. Their shirts are always laundered, unless they are some other type of fabric and NEED to be dry cleaned. Call me a modern woman, but, somehow that seems inherently unjust. read more

Having worked in a dry cleaners during my school years and then being involved in the industry for 7 years, I know dry cleaning. Prestige Cleaners is fantastic! Prestige Cleaners is not your typical cleaner in that they do not have a "storefront" operation in a strip mall. They exclusively do pick-up and delivery services at your home or place of business. Since I am one who has forgotten orders at my past dry cleaners, the free delivery comes in handy. No more Friday nights spent looking for my favorite skirt only to remember I left it at the cleaners and that they were closed. :) Prestige's service is top notch, their quality of work is impressive and the prices are fair. I stayed at a downtown Sacramento hotel for the recent marriage of our daughter. Prestige Cleaners made it so convenient for us to have the wedding gown, bridesmaids dresses, and miscellaneous suits and dresses pressed and ready for the wedding. (The bride, groom and wedding party arrived in Saramento on different days/times with their travel-weary wedding togs in tow.) Prestige and the hotel have established pick-up and drop-off times for hotel guests' cleaning, but the cleaners made extra pick-ups and drop-offs for us, to ensure that we would have the items in a timely manner. Their product is decent, but the charge is way too much, and they work banker's hours. Also, they don't take care of you like "ma & pa" places do. I had a tear on my shirt pocket that only needed a couple pieces of thread. They put a note on it and didn't bother to fix it. I canceled my account and they didn't even ask why. read more

After calling a few other businesses, I called Prestige Cleaners and spoke with Jane about cleaning and preserving my wedding gown. Not only was Jane helpful, but the price was more than reasonable compared to the other cleaners I checked with. There wasn't a lot written about wedding gown cleaning and preservation in other reviews, so some may say that I took a chance by taking my wedding gown here. I say it was more than worth it. After being quoted over $375 to start at another well known cleaner in town, I felt that the $210 I paid was a steal! I took my dress in on a Friday and Jane told me it would take a couple of weeks. Exactly two weeks to the day, Jane called me back to tell me my dress was ready and I picked it up on the same day. Prestige cleaners should be your only dry cleaner! They only do pick up and delivery service, but they do not charge extra! In fact I think it was cheaper! I had an expensive brand new white cotton top that had RED WINE splashed on the front all over! I was mortified! The folks at Prestige weren't even phased by this, took the top and returned it in like new condition! You cannot even tell there was any stain there at all! I'm totally amazed and blown away!! Finding a good dry cleaners that gives good customer service, does the job right, and is reasonably priced is rare as hens teeth and precious as jewels. Back in Minneapolis through a combination of word of mouth and trial and error I had finally found my go to place where I would take my winter coat and jackets to be cleaned in the Spring before being put away until they were needed again. Since moving to Sacramento I was at a loss as to where to go. It's not something one want to take a chance on if you value your clothing items. A bad dry cleaner can do more harm than good (as anyone who has had something ruined can attest). Thanks to internet searches and customer reviews I was able to locate some prospects which I then called. The one that seemed the most promising was Prestige Cleaners. They normally do pick up and delivery, but in speaking with Jane, who runs the office, I said I expected to be out that way and wondered if I could drop something off. She said sure, so long as I did it during the times she would be there. This place is easy to get to by just taking the Winters Street exit off I 80 and driving a couple blocks. On Monday I stopped in and left my ankle length wool coat and knee length jacket, both with the taco sauce drips from the times I ate in the car, the dog slobber, and all the assorted schmutz accumulated over the past few years since they were last cleaned. I was told I could pick them up Thursday. Thursday around lunch I returned and was recognized and greeted with "Hello. You're here for your coats, I'll go get them." Jane went off and was back in a flash and rang me up. I felt like I had died and gone to dry cleaning heaven. Both items for a total of $23.30 and both items done beautifully. My wool coat hasn't looked this good since it was new. To top it all off on the plus side, they use a more environmentally friendly cleaning process. I don't know what pick up and delivery would have done to the cost, but for the sake of knowing your items will be done right and for the convenience, it would be worth it. read more

Ok. I am not a internet/Yelp kind of person. However, I have to give a review when it comes to Trent and Prestige Cleaners. He, and they, are the best. I have had the fortune (or misfortune) of requiring dry cleaning services on a regular basis for many years. Usually, it is the"panic/get to the cleaners now" moment when I have nothing to wear. Prestige Cleaners and, specifically Trent, have relieved my stress and changed my patterns. Trent picks up Mondays and Thursdays in my area. I run a small business and sometimes am unavailable for the pickup or delivery. Trent makes time for me. It is amazing. I feel like the old days when you had a need and someone cared enough to meet your need. If you are in the downtown area, do yourself a favor and get Prestige Cleaners to pick up and drop off your clothes (which, by the way, are perfectly laundered). The pick up drop off is a nice touch, but compared to other cleaners the finish of the clothing is marginal. My blouses come back steamed not pressed. Unless you ask for someone to check your clothes and pay extra you just get the line cleaning service. On this writing I have returned a duvet cover three times to have it hard pressed. Each time it returns looking the same, just like it came out of the dryer I don't really think anyone is looking at the costumer request tag it just gets bagged and returned. I will not continue to use this cleaners based this incident. I have been without my duvet for 3 weeks and I am not willing to send it back again. Update: I just spoke with on of the owners, he was very pleasant and easy to work with. However he told me that he would not hard press my duvet cover, which is fine however I would of like to had this communicated to me after the first time I returned the item for hard press request. Boils down to an issue with communication between the driver and the plant. read more

No longer was I driving around with a pile of clothes in my car, or forgetting to pick them up. Not only is their service amazing, they fix/replace buttons without even discussing it.
