I was very nervous about the entire process, but especially since I haven't been in so long. I worried I would be made to feel terrible about neglecting my teeth. Instead, everyone was extremely nice to me. No one made me feel bad about how long it's been and everyone went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable and knew what was going on. It wasn't the traumatic experience I had as a kid at all. I had to get a deep cleaning done over two appointments and my hygienist and her assistant were top notch. Again, didn't make me feel embarrassed about the state of my teeth or how long it has been. I didn't have any cavities and everything went really well! I got to speak to or otherwise interact with 3 of the dentists there and really liked 2 of them. I didn't dislike the 3rd, he just felt a little less experienced. Pricing was good here as well.

My hygienist is no longer there and she was entertaining to say the least. I loved her!! She did a thorough job and my teeth felt so good! A new hygienist (I truly can't remember her name but I know she's no longer there), was the worst I've ever experienced. She was pretty much on top of my chest and I was very uncomfortable with that. Also, the check in process is a thorn in my side. Clients get handed a tablet to verify info. It's very time consuming and not necessary if all my info hasn't changed (insurance, home address, etc). I've said many times that my info is the same. One time I just flat out refused and the receptionist signed for me! I also asked "IF I get a crown today, and have an issue with it tomorrow & have to come back the next day, will I be handed the tablet again to verify my information?" (like I moved over night, lol). She said "yes!" This is the ONLY dental office I've been to that does this check in process. Just a note to Dr. Revering, my time is just as important to me as yours is to you. I'm so done!

I still drive over an hour to Ideal Dental Flower Mound, because they are a good team. I haven't had problems with them. I recently had 4 crowns done and an angry tooth that needed pulled. Dr Chowdry made my 4 crowns beautifully and when I had the worst tooth ache, she said it was too infected to pull. She prescribed me antibiotics to calm it down and gave me some referrals to oral surgeons. It was an upper tooth and close to the sinus. Even though I wasn't happy, she made the right call. A few days later my awful tooth settled down. I went to one of the other offices with oral surgeons like she recommended to consult about it getting it extracted. The office was gross and the staff seemed incompetent. The lady that had me fill out new patient info for my portal misspelled my name FOUR times! I wanted to run out, but was afraid of my tooth. Next, a large unkempt dental assistant was wearing gloves and a mask when she called me back. She was scary. She proceeded to touch almost every surface and cupboard in the cubicle where I was sitting. She said "I can take that!" She was referring to my purse. I said "No, I like it." Then she said she was going to take some X-Rays. I said as long as I'm not paying for them. She said let me check with the doctor. I was appalled on many levels. Apparently the doctor said okay. Was she going to charge me if the doctor didnt okay them? Wth? Meanwhile she was STILL WEARING THE SAME GLOVES and CLEARLY not for MY protection! She took a few ex-rays and said the doctor would be in. The Doctor was nice. They wrote up a treatment plan and told me a bunch of bull S***! Then, as if that wasn't bad enough, the lady in charge of going over my treatment plan, had to take another copy of my insurance because the first one was blurry! The prices they quoted me were ridiculous! Then I felt bullied because I said I needed to see another doctor. Payment plan lady was like well she doesn't come back into the office until august 10th. Did she think that was going to scare me into saying okay just do it all now with your gross ignorant dental assistant? Obviously I went elsewhere. It really made me appreciate my dentists and staff at IDEAL DENTAL FLOWER MOUND even more than I already did. They are clean, competent, friendly, and worth the extra miles. Oh...and they and don't over charge me. I will be reviewing that other practice next. Thank you Ideal Dental Flower Mound!

At my initial appointment, they recommended I sign up for HFD, a payment plan with extremely high interest rates--despite the fact that I have insurance. While I wasn't happy about the rates, I agreed because I knew the procedure needed to be done. I completed what I believed was the application, and they assured me everything was set. They then proceeded with my cleaning and placed a temporary crown. When I returned for my permanent crown, they claimed I hadn't completed the application and became visibly irritated when I explained that I didn't have the funds to put down at that moment. To make matters worse, I had called the office the day before to confirm that nothing would be owed, yet no one mentioned any issues. The man at the front desk, along with another woman behind him, spoke to me in an extremely condescending manner, making belittling remarks. Shouldn't it be the responsibility of the dental office to ensure that all financial paperwork is properly processed before moving forward with treatment? Yet somehow, I was made to feel like I was at fault. Their complete lack of professionalism and accountability made this a terrible experience. I regret not reading previous reviews beforehand, as I now see I'm not the only one who has had issues with this office. It's unfortunate because the dentist is nice. I would strongly advise against coming here.

She used the old traditional type of film X-rays and told me that I needed a root canal before clearance could be given. After I got the root canal, Dr. Earl processed the dental clearance and was eager to install a crown, but I was further diagnosed by another dentist and oral surgeon using panoramic X-rays that I had a bone spur in my left gum causing a great deal of tongue irritation, a large cyst surrounding a wisdom tooth in my right jaw, and the tooth that just got the root canal needed to be extracted. These additional items needed to be addressed before dental clearance could be given and were completely missed by Dr. Earl. I repeat, completely missed by Dr Earl. After several trips to the new dentist, oral surgeon, University Hospital and Southwest Medical Center, all items were properly addressed and accurate dental clearance was properly granted. I got my first bone strengthening infusion last week. I won't go into detail about My son getting a serious infection from a root canal performed in their office. They resolved the issue on their part by saying that he needed to go to the E.R. A trip to a reputable oral surgeon treated my son and ended the issue by the doctor sending a letter of reprimand to their office. I won't go into detail about convincing my dementia burdened wife she needed a new denture; she could have been convinced to buy the Brooklyn Bridge. She never lived to pick it up. I won't go into detail about having to return three times over a two week period for them to totally extract a molar, not even counting the number of X-rays they took which was needed to convince them pieces still remained. As a result of all the above, I have switched dentists and would not recommend Dr. Earl for anything but simple cosmetic dentistry.
