I finally found a dentist who is honest and puts the patient first. Dr. Song and his staff worked with me in meeting my dental needs and ensuring proper treatment while leveraging my insurance coverage. This dental practice is NOT like those big multi-doctors office where their primary focus is on making money. I've changed dentists 5 times since moving to TX due to over charging, poor office practices and simply not helping the patients maximize their insurance. So disappointed in the fact that they will bill you for a no-show but not send you a text reminder. MOST people these days use texting as their primary means of communication. Also, most people rarely check their vm's, if ever! I have an allotment of 1500 allowance every year which they were going to use up but decided to lose out on that yearly allowance after billing me for the "appt no show". Okayyy you can live and die by your ridiculous fee if you must! I am taking my business as well as my 1500 allowance elsewhere along with my cleanings. Too bad because the independent hygienist is actually good. A few weeks ago, I experienced the most excruciating pain I've ever experienced, second only to child birth. I had never been a patient, but received a recommendation from a friend to Dr. Song. I called, and answered...after hours. He scheduled me for first thing in the morning, and I went in ASAP. He was very professional and comforting! Within just a short-time, he went to work, and the pain was gone!!! But that wasn't all! He followed up with my personally the next day to make sure I was ok, and not in pain. Who does that! He's that awesome! I went in to follow-up and he performed a root canal; I felt nothing. In fact, it was so painless, I feel asleep lol. I would recommend him to anyone. I showed up to my appointment 35 minutes early and Dr. Song said he was just about to leave because he forgot about me. He said to forego filling out my new patient paperwork and go back to his office so he could hurry and look at my teeth. After being rushed through the office, he looked at my teeth for no more than one minute and said he would not repair the flipper that I already have, he would only give me a new one (wouldn't be ready until next week) and told me to sign on the line, that'll be $600. Um..no?? He then spoke to me like I was incompetent of understanding that I will need to replace my flipper soon, but he wasn't listening to me at all when I said I just needed some help with this one to get me through the weekend since I was in a wedding on Sunday. He snapped and walked out of the room leaving me with his receptionist- I guess too eager to start his weekend to help a patient. This all happened (I wish I was kidding) in under 5 minutes. I grabbed my things to leave and before walking out the receptionist said "okay, that'll be $45!" Are you kidding me?? I paid $45 for 5 minutes of time that they called an "exam" where I was rushed, yelled at and spoken down to and left in the same shape as when I walked in. I didn't even fill out paperwork!! I might have given him the work to do on my flipper replacement in the future had he actually listened to me and helped me with what I was needing. Isn't that what dentists and doctors are supposed to do? Listen to their patients, not just bully them into doing AND PAYING FOR whatever they want to do? After all, when I explained what I wanted done on the phone while scheduling my appointment he said "no problem, I can absolutely do that for you!" I was livid when I left and I absolutely will not be going back. read more

I recently went in to have my teeth cleaned at Dr Song's office. I couldn't have asked for a better experience with the front and back office staff. They were welcoming and very friendly. Then Dr. Song comes in and I found him to be rude, inconsiderate and unfriendly. Little did he know that my occupation is also in the dental field and I pride myself on taking care of my teeth and gums. So when he started upselling MANY different services that were totally unnecessary, I was very uncomfortable with his tactics. I met Dr. Song over 10 years ago at a mission that was held at a megachurch in Dallas. They provided dental care for no cost and it was just what I needed to get me connected with Dr. Song. I prayed that I would get connected with someone that would not give me another horrific experience. Little did I know, I would meet someone as gentle and caring as Dr. Song.It's like he could sense my fears and coaxed me into relaxing so he could get to work. After the experience there, I asked him for his card and told him I would soon be in touch. I've kept up with him from Dallas to Flower Mound. He is the only dentist I have utilized in the last 10 years. I wouldn't dare sign up for another horror story He's done some major work for me and I have not experienced one bad thing.
