Awful customer service. Total rip off! They put you on a plan that you pay upfront then come up with add in charges! Don't finish the plan. They decide since I hade to change appointments days ahead of time that I'm not a fit for their office! And don't finish the program I was on! What they say and what they do is two different things. I lived a hour away. But had picked them since I would come that way several times a week. But so many times they would change my appointment without notice. I didn't even know they canceled my last appointment until I called that day after driving the hour out to them! Frankly I'm happy to find another dentist. Since the care I have had there was less than good! They had to pull a tooth. Since I was numb I didn't notice they had pinched the inside of my lip leaving me with an awful sore. That a year later left a scar inside my lip. When asked about it later they are like oh it will heal. Only to have it hurt for a long time after. No like oh sorry we will be more careful! I wish I would have never gone to them. I have had so many issues to explain. I only had continued to finish what I had PAID UP FRONT FOR! And finish the big picture plan. Now I'll have to start over with someone else. Never in my life have I had a dentist treat me like this. In the past I have had excellent experience with my dentist. We started going here just to get second opinion on daughter's teeth but then we liked the office, doctor, hygienist and staff so much that all of us started going here. We really like them a lot and their professionalism. Macy is awesome for cleaning and providing instructions and education. I was recommended certain procedures which made sense. They typically ask for full deposit ahead of the visit which makes sense as sometimes people cancel without any notice, however they were ok with me depositing a 40% deposit. Came here after an awful experience with Mint Dentistry in Grapevine, who told me I'd have to pay $1200 out of pocket for 4 small cavities they wanted to fix. I took it upon myself to try fluoride toothpaste for several months and then try another dentist, and that's when I found Prestige Family Dentisry. I was impressed with this office from start to finish. Kailee did my cleaning and it was great. It has been awhile since I hadn't walked out of a dental cleaning (in other offices) with a headache due to sensitive teeth. The dental hygienist did a good job, but the Prestige Family Dentistry office business practices leave a lot to be desired. As an adult dental patient, I've never been asked to pay for dental services ahead of the actual service being rendered. In June 2021 I wanted to make an appointment in August to get my teeth whitened & I was being asked to pay for the service in June in order to make the August appointment. I've never experienced this. I couldn't get a straight answer on why I would need to pay for services in advance. Additionally, I experienced aggressive upselling. I told them at the beginning of my recent appointment in June that I was unemployed and would be paying cash for my dental cleaning. At the end of the appointment I was being pitched $4,000 in dental services. I also didn't want to get x-rays as they had done my x-rays 6 months ago. They pushed and pushed telling me I had to have the x-rays. There are a lot of great dentists in DFW. I'll be looking for a practice that operates in a more straightforward and transparent manner. Dr Rachel Nguyen & Dr DiRusso made the experience of "braces" far better than what I remember as a teenager. The dental assistants I saw were each as pleased and excited as I was with my progress. Everyone made it easy to want to wear my aligners with their encouragement.
